Coming out of a relationship with someone who has narcissistic personality disorder (NPD) can be a time of confusion and realization. This is when many people begin to understand the different psychological techniques that they had been subjected to during the relationship.
If you’ve ever left a relationship with someone who has NPD, there’s a good chance that the relationship ended by what is called “reverse discard”.
Thank you, Kim, for explaining how reverse discard works, and the fallout for the person who has left. It is very possible to heal from this.
