I wanted to include more color combinations, including the White Illusion and Munker White Illusions, but was running out of time. I really wanted to include the Red/Green/Blue combo though, because the effect worked much better than the skulls. About the bad field starting edge. I suspected it would not work because the spacing was so very close...however the first field (purple) worked fine! Then the next field had one bad line and instead of changing the edge technique in the next attempt I repeated the same method, I would have changed the spacing, but didn't want the edges to look different when put together. In the third attempt I stuck the splitting dominoes together to avoid what was going wrong the previous times after reviewing the recording and seeing what was happening with the tight spacing curves.I also had some accidents with the text field after about 50min of each attempt...both times I was trying to fix misplaced dominoes in the pattern. I could have just repaired sections that fell, but I ended up just rebuilding each time.The H5 domino creations templates ended up working really great with the old domino rally dominoes.

It worked, but the continuing line failed...what I ended up didn't look as nice as my first attempt so I used it instead. SECRET EDIT: The continuing line in the attempt I used is edited to cover up the blue dominos along the top knocking down the continuing line.I setup the hexaspeedwall pyramids twice. The first time they were spaced closer and I had an accident while connecting them together, and only recorded what was left as a test.

I was going to build a smaller version and put this in the outtakes, but noticed 1 camera angle hid the breaks quite well (just falls out of order). I removed the white wall in the rebuilds, because the spacing was difficult to get right.Hitting the pyramid with the stick was an accident I think.Fake #2I was expecting this to happen, I only had to rebuild the part that already fell after attempt 1 failed.I was going to rebuild this, but thought I would try to edit it, and thought it hid the fail well.Fake #3This was really difficult to setup, I rebuilt a second version because I wanted more of a swirl to the pattern (that was the idea behind it).Build 2 failed miserably, and this one looked fine after editing it.Fake #4The top layer was supposed to fall off (and did in several tests), spreading out while changing color. That didn't happen.I left this in the main video because after editing 2 of the 3 fallback lines, it looked okay still.

EXTRAS - Gingerbread House MoreFlippyCat 2014-12-28 | Just showing how it really fell down, for those interested...I expected this to not fall completely, but hoped that it would have worked better. I wanted the walls to completely fall down around it first, leaving the roof standing, or perhaps the one corner being removed would bump the roof enough to make it fall. However, the weight of the roof bent the ends of the board that was resting on 4 higher corners (and center) enough to put weight on and hold the two end walls in place.I did not want to have the yard covered in triggers, so I only added the one block and planned to just poke it as needed.The tree worked when I built it separately first...I'm not sure why it didn't work this time! GrrrrThe roof was separate pyramids (the edges looked MUCH better this way), I'm surprised it fell with only one break using this technique. I built two roofs, but the first roof fell down completely. I also built another version of the walls, which fell down when I was adjusting the board to hold the roof.I didn't record any setup for this project, so have no outtakes to show.
