Discovered this while testing out some Ritualist Builds and with the way the tooltip reads, this might actually be the intended effect. I can only hope that this is the case since the playstyle is super fun and it nukes bosses. May do a full build guide if there's enough interest.
EDIT: And it's already been fixed. Well it was fun while it lasted. Back to the drawing board.
