On November 11 at the 11th hour Canadians recognize Remembrance Day. It was originally called Armistice Day. We acknowledge the courage and ultimate sacrifice of those who served the country in wars, conflicts and peace operations.

It is also called Poppy Day, a tradition of wearing a remembrance poppy. It's a good day to also remember and feel a sense of gratitude for the freedom we have today and the importance of cherishing peace.
