Reliving The War now enters The Road To WrestleMania X7. The final weeks of the series are now upon us, and it's time to march to the finish line as we take another look at WWF Raw and WCW Nitro.
This week on Nitro WCW launches a brand new Cruiserweight Tag Team Tournament. The winners will receive the new Cruiserweight Tag belts which may be considered "too little, too late" at this point, but the tournament will be provide fans with good matches. Elsewhere on the show Ernest Miller gives up his job as WCW Commisionner (after fighting for it for so long), and main event sees the Magnificent Seven's Jeff Jarrett battling Dustin Rhodes.
On Raw The Rock and Steve Austin come face to face in the opening promo. While the two seem to be friendly it's also made clear that both men want to win at WrestleMania, and Austin tells Rock to make sure he arrives to Mania in good shape. There's a high possibility that Rock will not arrive to WrestleMania healthy seeing as he's facing The Big Show and Kurt Angle in the Raw main event, so Steve Austin has to intervene when things get rough. Elsewhere on Raw Dean Malenko faces Taka Michinoku, Raven gets an Intercontinental title shot against Chris Jericho, and Vince McMahon teams up with Trish Stratus to battle William Regal and Stephanie McMahon.
