Play has become a space for experimentation and for imagining new futures, not just entertainment. In this session, Teresa Giovannoli and Meghan Gardner share how they are treating play as infrastructure for systems change, using the development of a children's toy as a live experiment in how values, materials, and storytelling can be redesigned together. Rather than asking parents to make perfect choices, the project redesigns the system so that joyful play becomes the way families engage with responsibility, sustainability, and care. The talk offers a behind-the-scenes look at using play to prototype new cultural norms and invite people into meaningful change.

Speakers:
Teresa Giovannoli, Founder and Chief Engineer, Little Squiggle
Meghan Gardner, Transformative Design Director, Cultura Connector

Recorded at the 2026 Games for Change Festival, "Reimagining Play," July 21 to 22 at The Glasshouse in New York City.
