JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is nearly 40 years old and still going strong. Personally, I think the most interesting aspect of the series is the artistic evolution of its author, Hirohiko Araki. He began by mimicking the popular manga of the time, like Fist of the North Star. But he slowly carved out his own style by referencing fine art and modern fashion. Over time, this led to a more personal manga that improved itself and became something utterly its own.
