Red Tigress was a research program for the Strategic Defense Initiative. The booster was Aerojet General ARIES M56A1 booster with nine separate experiments to be ejected during the flight. The vehicle launched on a rail launcher from Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Launch Complex 20.

This is video of the first launch, on August 20, 1991. The range safety officer terminated the flight 23 seconds into flight as the vehicle veered off-course. A second ARIES was launched on October 14, 1991 to conclude the program.

The DVD copy has no audio track, so we don't know if it was originally produced with audio that was lost in the DVD transfer.
