So, YouTube killed the video response. I'm predicting that they didn't actually.. The Video Response will regenerate. The community will route around the latest YouTube "improvement." I believe our benevolent overlords are misreading their data on Video Responses. The format is much more robust than YouTube product managers believe.

Whatever the ultimate impact, YouTube's product people have gone about this latest move in a high-handed, short-sighted way that caused unnecessary panic and gnashing of teeth among the community (a skittish lot in the best of times).

I frame this comment as a response to @themefund and @neafcy, two of my favorite thoughtful and engaging vloggers.
