Hal Turner is a racist who has come very close to calling for the violent overthrow of the U.S. Government. He once stated:
"We may have to ASSASSINATE some of the people you elect on Nov. 7! This could be your LAST ELECTION CHANCE, to save this Republic... Sorry to have to be so blunt, but the country is in mortal danger from our present government and our liberty is already near dead because of this government. If you are too stupid to turn things around with your vote, there are people out here like me who are willing to turn things around with guns, force and violence. We hope our method does not become necessary."

The folks at Bantown/4chan did a number on him. I am under the impression that there is some overlap between the people who belong to Bantown and 4chan and the people who contribute to ED, but I am a bit hazy about the relationship between these groups. I don't know if the person who wrote the ED article took part in the cyber-raids against Turner, but I wouldn't be surprised if he or she did.
Judelicious1971 was the first person to document Brett's plagiarism:

Brett made a video strongly implying that Judelicious tried to frame him with a photoshop job. Unfortunately, that video is gone—Brett removed it before he was suspended. I'm guessing he realized his video made him look like an ass and that there were too many witnesses to his plagiarism. Either that, or this follow up video by Judelicious convinced him to pull his video.

Note the comments on these two videos. There is no shortage of witnesses to the plagiarism or to the fact that he implied Judelicious Photoshopped the evidence.

Evidently, Brett didn't like my videos, because he threatened to drop docs on me:

Even after he has threatened to drop docs on me, I am willing to forgive him. But first he has to acknowledge that he behaved inappropriately. He has to ask for forgiveness and he has to promise to at least try to refrain from this type of behavior in the future. I can not forgive him if he doesn't acknowledge that he has done something wrong.
