Welp, 3 months after 48:00, here we are! Had been getting these insane paces for the past few days in preparation for the tournament, but I didn't really expect to get it before the actual event. Early games have gotten very good, 17:12 scissors is a crazy, crazy time, and with 15 slashes again XDDD.

One notable thing about sewers is this new strat at 27:48, Mondo came up with the idea and asked me about it, then the lovely Katastrophic made it consistent :) Labs was not very good but the pace was so, yep, would've been 47:51 with super knife kill and without the lab lickers fiasco. Crazy stuff. GGs

Frit 2025-07-11 | woohoo 8/8 very nice. i'm a lot more excited than i can put into this description, but mostly i'm grateful to be able to share the accomplishment with kat who got the inferno wr the same day, meaning we're sharing 8/8 on 2r and 5/5 on 3r at the same time.

very exciting video coming out soon, i'll make a channel post about it when it comes out.

all i have to say about this run is that i lost 9.5s on the library jack split and kept going for god knows what reason lol. low 48:5x would be super cool, and i hope to go for that one day.

(World Record) Resident Evil 2: Leon B Hardcore Speedrun 49:17

Frit 2024-11-19 | yoyo been a while. got this record about 2 months ago but been busy with other things. been going for 8/8 but we'll see if that ever actually happens, my mental on these HC categories is not very good, and I don't really have the same motivation for it as I once had. This is the last of the main 8 categories that I had never had record in, so that's pretty neat. :)

Massive, massive thank you to the wonderful Kat ♡ (@katastrophic4136) for not only supporting me, but helping with the route adjustments and strats that I used in the run. Specifically the library jack movement and getting out of that room in the most consistent way (which I fucked up horribly in this run xdd), as well as the aim manip for the first licker encounter on this run. I love you ♡ (she also made my livesplit look good finally). Forgot to mention this as well until theus pointed it out, but yolo prison is indeed possible on hardcore thanks to, once again, Kat, she gave me the idea to try it and it just worked :). Another grab in sewers made this run not very good, the pause buffers also bother me a lot which is one of the reasons I was hesitant to upload it. Low 49:0x or possibly sub 49 would be the long term goal for this category, but hardcore is super duper not enjoyable. I didn't realize this was record otherwise I would've watched the ending cutscene. I may have another upload soon, or maybe not for a while. Life has been very good and speedrunning is just not my priority anymore. Won't stop me from getting that sub 51 on LAS tho. 👀

new route: pick up bullets and bank them, skip boards, throw flash easy peasy

all runs gonna have music from now on cause it's fun :D this run is possibly invalid because of some weird audio bug (you can hear leon's voice lines during ada's section, very bizarre). it's fine though, not content with this at all so not gonna bother submitting. run was legit insane up until labs, could've easily been my best run on this game had the turbo not happened. it was my fault for not going around the zombie tho. this category still sucks. i return to this at a later date maybe. gg go next

I really fumbled with the 2 blackscreens in this, not used to playing on fullscreen so I didn't realize tabbing out would be an issue. Guess the only thing to do is KEEPGAMBLING for a 1 second PB :/. Pretty nice run, 19:55 keycard not great but not bad, terrible medallion RNG, no meme hits in RPD, good Ada, good sewers, lucky labs with ultra nervous choking. Sub 51 is pretty possible with a Furreto level early game but yea, super tough.

Frit 2024-03-15 | My 48:07 was already my favorite PB I had ever done but, here we are with this shit. Legit unbelievable. Missing super knife kill felt like it was an inevitability, I was not in any position to play perfectly there. Might be the absolute peak of a speedrun I'll achieve. GG.

Huge best of luck to the player that goes for sub 48. I truly don't think I'll be playing this category again for quite a while. I think I have to return to my least favorite category and finally get the 4/4. Thanks everyone :D

Worlds First Sub 39 - Resident Evil 4 Remake Separate Ways Standard

Frit 2024-01-15 | Joydurn with the 5Head prediction :) Harder grind than some 2R categories, really glad I clutched up here. Very sorry about the frozen keyboard overlay on the screen, it is unfortunate but when it is minimized it just freezes and I didn't even bother checking because of how terrible my runs were.
