It's May long weekend 2021, Normally I don't go out camping on may long weekend, this year I actually didn't lol, however, my good friend Mark and I decided to take the day and head out #fishing. So we packed up our trucks and heading to the Dickson Dam area to fish the #RedDeerRiver and see if we couldn't get some trout. Long story short we didn't catch any fish but we did find a completely unknown trail system to us that winded through the forest following the red deer river for quite a few miles. Unfortunately, it looks like the locals to the area don't care much about keeping it clean as it was literally riddled with trash bordering on a homeless camp. Despite all that we pushed on, through the very fun but not difficult trail system until it popped us out right on the river bed, we found a couple local guys who say they don't see many vehicles make it as far as we did so we take that as a compliment. Found an epic new campsite in a great fishing hole... even though we caught nothing all Day haha.
