Last month I drove out to Massachusetts for the big Railroad Hobby Show in Springfield, MA.

I went out a couple days early to do some other railroad related activities.
My good friend Lee flew out; since I was in my own car, I was able to pick him up at the Boston airport to save him from renting a car.

On that Friday, we spent much of the afternoon railfanning parts of the Northeast Corridor. This route carries the highspeed Acela Express trains, along with some nice regional trains. The first 2 clips were taken from just north of Kingston station in Rhode Island. At this location, both trains that passed were at or above 150mph!
We also made a side trip to New London and Old Saybrook, CT.

It was quite exciting to watch those Acela trains pass at full speed!
