One of the all-time great corporate mascots was a Bull Terrier named Spuds MacKenzie, too cool for 80s cool, the spokesmutt for Bud Light in the late-1980s. Unfortunately, pissy parent groups equated Spuds with encouraging little kids to drink. Adults couldn't enjoy anything adorable on TV in the 80s, I guess...
