This cover is a year in the making.

Ever since this OP was announced now over a year ago, I knew I wanted to cover it no matter how hard it was. I still had a lot of growing to do in my vocals before I could cover this song. So in good ole’ training montage fashion, I chipped away at these vocals by recording, re-recording, and practicing this song for an entire year. I simply wasn’t satisfied with my performance each time, but I didn’t give up.

After taking vocal lessons, I was finally able to get an idea of what I’ve been doing wrong with my vocal technique this entire time. That “weird tone” I couldn’t shake off finally had an explanation behind it and I was able to make necessary changes to my technique. This cover is the end result, while still not perfect, I genuinely hope you all enjoy my performance on this track. ❤

HUGE SHOUTOUT to @Hiraga and @Tre Watson for doing the screams on this track! Back when I first started planning this cover, I knew I wasn’t ready to tackle how to scream, so of course I outsourced to two of the best scream guys I know! Both of these guys are hella musically talented from instrumentation to vocals, so please give them your support below! 🔥❤

Finally, another HUGE SHOUTOUT to @L-Train for making the instrumental for this cover and @another_shiro for mixing! I was desperate to find an instrumentalist that could replicate the epic sound of the original, and of course L-Train did not disappoint. Similarly, Shiro once again outdid herself with this mix, even mixing screams for the first time and doing a great job! 🤯❤❤

Interpretation:
From a small village known for trading farm goods including carrots and grains, a quiet young boy named aramis was found to have an affinity for the use of magic items. For the first time in the villages’ known history, he was the only one to harbor such abilities; thus, granting him the qualification to apply for the well renowned school of magic: Kawaakari Academy.

At Kawaakari Academy, aramis began a new chapter of his life. Everyone was a stranger, and aramis had never felt so alone.

The quiet boy struggled at making friends. It wasn’t until he met one girl that made going to classes just a bit easier- Nyaoi. The two became friends and in time, their bond deepened as they shared more time together.

A few months into the academic year go by, and one day Nyaoi is nowhere to be found. She wasn’t in class nor was she on campus grounds. Aramis grows concerned that she is ill, so he pays her a visit only to find she wasn’t in her dorm either. Asking around, no one had heard from her. Days pass, search parties are sent, and nothing. Nyaoi is gone.

Drowning in despair, aramis didn’t know what to do. In that moment, an eerie brush of cold wind enveloped the entire campus area where aramis was sitting….sobbing…

A dark presence presented itself before aramis, uttering the words “She’s with us now, she will become the vessel for our new leader.” The entity briefly mentioned, “undergo all of our trials...the guardians of ℌ𝔢𝔩𝔩’s circles will be waiting...” under its breath, then disappeared into the shadows.

In an effort to save Nyaoi from what seemed to be the depths of ℌ𝔢𝔩𝔩 itself, aramis did exactly that. With each floor, aramis could hear the demons laugh at his futile attempt to save his precious Nyaoi. In a raspy voice echoing the cave like walls, aramis continued hearing voices...“sorry darling hurry up, time is running out.” The taunting continued, but aramis did not give up.

Will aramis save Nyaoi or be overtaken by the darkness himself...?

My perception of the darkness is that it’s ever present, hanging over our lives, influencing our every action. The choice we have to make is, do we let it control us, or do we channel it in order for it to strengthen us, enhance our power, and help us attain our goals. About two weeks ago, I decided I really wanted to do something special for one of my best friend’s upcoming birthdays, @Mr. Goatee , aka “Jake” among us friends. I had a bit of a sinus infection these past few days so I asked my friends what I should cover for the week and they suggested this song~ It just so happens that SEL's 22nd anniversary was the other day, so it just worked out. ❤ I wouldn't have even known about this anime if wasn't for one of my IRL friends (since it came out when I was 1 lol) so consider this is a thank you for showing me such an interesting show!

I had more fun with this one than I anticipated, I've never covered a song where wavering from the note was literally apart of the song 😲 I'm so used to singing the direct pitch (or trying to lol), so this was a really fun vocal exercise and great test of my softer somewhat mixed voice that I am trying to develop~ ❤

Oooh boi, this is an old one. I did a duet of "No Matter What" from Steven Universe: The Movie back when it came out last year with my dear friend Myriani! As soon as Myriani and I went to see Frozen II back in December, I knew I had to cover this song! It had so much impact when I heard it for the first time that it froze my very soul. This is simply my take on it~

I did the video in two days and realllly hate cameras so please forgive me for weird camera movements that I genuinely didn't feel like fixing. 🙏🏼 I was trying to make Octaibo's lovely art shine as much as I could with the time I had. 💚

HAPPY HALLOWEEN....JK. Hey guys! I'm back again and boi, I predict a lot of mixed emotions towards this cover as this is not the usual content I post. Usually, it's the usual encouraging anime OP or ED, but not this time around! Let me get this out by saying this cover was high af, and I didn't realize this until I had already begun recording with the intent to finish this cover. This song tested my HIGH RANGE, to its limits. So if I appear as though I'm straining in parts, I greatly apologize and wanna reassure you guys I am working on improving my vocal technique as well as higher range in tiny bits.

Short storytime: My dear friend Myriani and I were singing at our college's studio, just practicing lines. Ghost posted this collab with Creep-P and of course I was intrigued as I had listened to both of their content for a while, I remember the first time I listened to Hyperdontia because I had to show Myriani to get her opinion. Its uniqueness and interesting yet organized chaotic beats caught my attention immediately and, overtime, I came to love the song more and more.

As years passed since this song's debut, I continued kicking myself for not covering it when Halloween came around until 2018. Now, TWO YEARS later I am finally covering this amazing song, not on Halloween due to school/work delays, but I figured oh well, at least I got to cover a song I really enjoyed. I realize the theme behind it is a very sensitive topic for most people, so again please heed the warnings both in the video and above before your watch it!

FINALLY, I have many thank yous to give to some incredibly talented folks. Fyhir, you were with me from the very beginning when I was trying to find an animator for my Voracity cover. I couldn't find ANYONE and then there you were reaching out to me and even jumping on this project as well. Ooooh man, it has been like four months since my last upload...I am really sorry guys! I had to focus on school these last few months because between work and my studies I had to dedicate more time...I didn't forget about you all though! Four months ago I began working on this cover after I fell in love with the OP in Overlord III and the intensity in it. Honestly, I wasn't so sure I could even pull it off because of Myth&Roid's intense vocals and guitar accompaniment in this song, but I did my best to thank you all for supporting me the last couple years! 4k subs...wow, I honestly never thought my channel would get this far, all I can really say is THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH AND I LOVE YOU ALL!! ❤❤❤

Since I wanted this cover to be really really good for you guys, I really wanted original art and animation to go along with it!! Hey Guys! So I originally wasn't going to cover this song since I thought it wouldn't fit my voice. I'm easily intimidated by choral vocals so I usually avoid them (plus im too lazy to record every note), but I tried this time around! Shiro did an amazing job mixing this for me (esp the choral part like dang i love how it sounds). Really fills up the sound and stuff ya know. Aaaand I'm back with another cover! Sorry for the super late upload guys. Making the video for this cover took way longer than I wanted. I ended up getting pretty lazy with the vid at the end but I still wanted you guys to have something to look at!

This time around, I really wanted to cover Myth & Roid's "Hydra," aka the second ed from the ever so lit Overlord series.🔥 There's something about Myth & Roid's songs that are super appealing to me. Maybe it's the range? The power, emotion? Whatever it is, I foresee myself singing plenty more MYTH & ROID songs in the future. I really enjoyed trying to transition from a power range to a higher or "pretty" range in this cover. Hey guys! How's it going? So I promised an Odd Future cover and I wasn't lying!

Story time:

The lyrics for this cover were very difficult. I literally went through three translyricists before deciding on the final lyrics and then made heavy edits myself towards the end. (THANK YOU AEON, WISH, & RAGE ILY GUYS ❤❤❤) So besides the difficult rhythm of this song, I really wanted my lyrics to be relatable. The best thing I can do is explain what I'm trying to convey:

Not all of us know where we want to be in the future. The thought scares us, as we dream of the potential horrors or potential happiness that can be achieved. We don't even want to imagine the endless possibilities, so we choose to focus on the present. However, life in the present may be filled with mistakes and grief, making you feel defeated and alone in your emotions. Because of your mistakes, you feel you deserve this "fate". How do you deal with these emotions?

It's during times like these, that we must rely on our inner strength, our loved ones, our PLUS ULTRA. When you're feeling down, remember those who'll give you a warm embrace and remind you that you're loved and aren't alone! This person can be your mom, your dad, your sibling, your best friend, your significant other.
This message may not resonate with everyone, I understand that. But I strongly believe a simple reminder such as this is sometimes needed, at least for me. Love and dreams are powerful, and we shouldn't ever give up on them, because they give us strength to achieve what we never thought was possible before! It's your life, so why not make it a bright one in the present AND future! ❤❤❤

I just wanted to apologize, school and work have been taking up 99% of my time and I simply haven't been able to dedicate nearly as much to singing or even animating as much I could before. I've had this cover finished for months now but I'm only just now getting around to uploading because of what's stated above. 😭 I was planning on getting Odd Future out before The Day, but due to me having issues getting the lyrics to work out I haven't even recorded yet. I hope you guys will be patient as I get back into things during this summer semester!

Hey guys! It has been a good while. A little update: The past two months have been crazy. Finals rolled around and I was dedicating all of my time to studying. I was also working and involved with many collabs, so I couldn't dedicate as much time to my channel as I would've liked. I also got sick which made me unable to sing for two weeks 8') BUT I'M BACK HI. We spend so much time on cellphones and texting and socializing, but never stop to actually communicate or “feel.” The keyboard pieces and paper represents the mediums we infatuate ourselves with on a 24/7 basis: computers/cellphones. The crumpled paper would represent the old means of communication before technology. We would have to use this paper, our broken key, and our keyboard pieces to find a way out. After finding a huge clue to our escape, a dark secret is revealed showing dishonesty among the group. It turns out the broken key represents a broken home all along. A home broken because everyone in the group have gone so far to commit sins where we can never go back unless we repent. Thus we’re being put into this game to have our punishment bestowed upon us.

How we escaped:

We arrange the keyboard keys in different ways to form an anagram hinting where the other half of the broken key would be. We use the crumpled paper and broken key to write down the different word arrangements. The final anagram spells out:

"eyes see no day, for the culprit lies"

After mulling it over, we stumble upon an old marble bust sitting in the room. In worn, dusty letters, the small gold sign on the bust reads “Staff of Prospero.” The riddle suddenly makes sense! “The culprit lies” refers to Prospero, the protagonist of William Shakespeare’s “The Tempest,” famous for his many lies. “Eyes see no day” refers to the bust itself, as the eyes of the bust cannot physically see. But what does this have to do with finding a key? Well, at the end of “The Tempest,” the lying Prospero breaks his magical staff. With that in mind, we all turn to the “Staff of Prospero” and decide that there is only one possible solution to this riddle...
