VOLTA - Blender Short William Landgren 2022-07-18 | "VOLTA" It's finally done, ever since finishing my earlier short film The Drink, I've started numerous projects that I never finished. I began going down the rabbit hole of loosing motivation. In that mix, VOLTA was born. VOLTA is a personal project I've been working on a little here and there for the past 5 months and as I've been focusing more on school and personal life I started thinking I'd never be done with it. I also felt the pressure to always do better and for it to be perfect so I ended up taking a long break from Blender, it was great and gave me a lot of time to think and improve. A couple of days ago I decided to finish the project.My inspiration is of course Ash Thorp and Colorsponge and I wanted to continue what they started with their Evinetta short film but create something new. If you haven't looked at their work yet you definitely should. The goal I had in the beginning of the project was the feeling of a constant flow of ideas and complexity, like you're missing out. I really have paid attention to every frame and put a lot of concentrated effort into this 1.5 minute long piece. Please enjoy it on max brightness and good audio. Pro Lens 2 - Demo Tutorial William Landgren 2022-01-20 | Here's a quick demo video showing how to use my new add-on "Pro Lens 2"This is the version 2.0 of the Pro Lens add-on. I've really gone in and remade the whole thing and I'd say it's quite different from the last version and a whole lot better. Everything is now a lot more smooth to use and works great with the newer versions of blender. I've added buttons and panels in the Camera Properties where you can add or remove the effect, adjust the strength and add natural vignetting. I've also made sure that you can adjust the focal length and change the ratio while still having all of the lens elements line up. Something that made the old version pretty clunky to use. I've also added a feature that allows you to auto correct the brightness so your image won't get dark when using the add-on. I have removed the different dirt elements and color adjustments to make the whole thing a little easier to use but those are some things that I might add in the future.Some stuff to be aware of: It's recommended to keep your F-stop at 2.8 as that is what the bokeh is designed after. You might get some weird bokeh if you do decide to change it. The Drink - Blender Short William Landgren 2021-11-03 | "The Drink" After a little more than 2 months of work here it finally is! "The Drink", a short film that's 100% CGI and made by me using Blender, After effects, Marvelous Designer and Davinci Resolve. It's definitely my most ambitious project to date and I'm very pleased with the final result :) I really tried replicating the look of old 60s film photography and the almost dreamy hollywood feel. This is a feature I've wanted Blender to implement for ages but they just wouldn't so I decided to do It myself. I feel like it just makes everything feel so much more realistic now with actual realistic bokeh.It's a little janky and will probably have a few bugs but It's definitely worth it if you want to get that extra level of realism that 99% blender artists are missingFeel free to join the tier 7 or 10 patreon to get the addon yourself.
