Installing and testing The Olsson Block! I had a lot of issues printing the jaw, it is meant to be printed with the corners down but that way i couldn't get good enough adhesion so i removed the pins which are also in the file and layed it as flat as i could and cut of a little bit of the bottom and that turned out really good actually! I unfortunately got a little bit warping between the skull pieces so the seam is not the prettiest! Making the Ultimate Nintendo Controller Adapter for PC! Multimaker 2015-03-14 | I make the ultimate Nintendo controller adapter for PC!Filament : XT Black by colorFabbModel : Own designMusic : Pokémon - Red Blue Opening Theme (RAC Blue Satellite Mix) by RAC - Megaman : Elecman Remix by Audio Sprite - Megaman III : Top Man's Beat Down! by Audio Sprite Printed at scale, layer height 0.15 mm, 50 mm/s, 20% infill,250c on nozzle,70c on the bed, fan at 100% from 0,5mm up,with supports.As always used hairspray for bed adhesion!(Clynol Ultra Strong Hold)This was a project i started because i wanted to see if i could, and to use my 3D Printer for something other than usual.The results are very very indicative of my impatience and lack of electrical skill and modeling skill.What i did was buy PC adapters for NES, SNES, N64 and GameCube on amazon and a 7 port USB hub (for wii controller compatibility just add a bluetooth dongle as there is a free port available. I have it built in on my PC). Then i modeled an enclosure with openings that fit the controller ports and USB.Printed that out with mixed results, my bottoms did not come out looking very good but thankfully the two halves didn't warp and fit nicely together! There are a lot of improvements i would like to do with the enclosure like a good way to fasten it together, and better mountings for the controller boards and ports.Since i didn't have the know-how to make real mounts for the adapters i ended up hot-gluing EVERYTHING in place which makes disassembly a bitch :-/ Some of the adapters would have benefitted from being disassembled and re-soldered as to get a good proper fit but again i didn't trust my soldering skills.Another way the design could have been shrunk and cleaned up by a LOT would be if i would have soldered the USB's from the adapters directly onto the USB hub as the connectors take up an insane amount of space! But this was also way over my head.Now on a positive note i am really happy i attempted this because even though it didn't turn out very pretty it does work! I now have ONE box that can interface with every Nintendo controller ever made(excl Wii U)! Extremely cool at least when printed this big!Printed without issue, but when using as little as 6% infill the pins get very brittle and after finishing the first piece i tried the pins and broke them both! But i later realised the pins are keyed to only go in two ways, and when i did that correctly they held up. And thankfully you get a couple of pins extra! Do NOT use much hairspray with this filament! Maybe not at all(on heated bed)! It stuck to my build plate like hell!!On the plus side there's no way this will ever come loose during a print ;-)My first attempt with Bronzefill, and i am satisfied.It feels great! Very heavy and has a real hi-quality feel.Using a Dremel to polish this material is not recommended! Even at the slowest speed with a very soft tool it digs down and creates an ugly surface! The green stuff helped but not enough, i don't know if it's even for that... I haven't tried any bronze polishing products yet.
