This song is originally written and performed by Paradise Lost. It's one of my personal favorite songs, and we wanted to do just a regular cover of it, but then we kind of formed it into our own, so it seemed like a good idea to officially release it.
Think about it as a "What if At The Gates wrote Mortals Watch the Day?" cover.

This is a full cover, and worship of the Gates of Ishtar song "Trail of Tears" off their 1997 album "The Dawn of Flames".
We used the original AI isolated drum track (using Moises.ai) that I enhanced with some EZDrummer samples. We also didn't use any reverb on the vocals as opposed to the original. We multitracked some vocal parts to create a more chorus-like vibe on some parts and to make it sound a tad bit more modern instead.
"Trail of Tears" is probably not Gates of Ishtar's biggest hit, more like a deep-cut actually, and also not their most technical song. I really like the mesmerizing repetitive riffing, the arrangements and the sad atmosphere the song creates, so I just wanted to do it anyway.
My Japanese friend Deathmetalvoicer was so kind to impersonate Mikael Sandorf and did an amazing job with it. Go check out his channel for more covers (see link above).

This is a guitar cover, or more like appreciation of The Haunted song Chasm off their 1998 self-titled debut album. It's one of the most savage riffing I ever came across, very detailed very well written bomb of a song.
The video is not play-back, I was actually recorded majority of the rhythms guitars and the leads in real-time while shooting the video (and then done some post editing).

Each song-title on the EP is a part of the “anti-life equation” originally introduced by DC Comics. It’s a mathematical formula carved in the face of the Earth, which enables its master to take away one’s free will - a great metaphor for some political processes going in our world right now.

The song is an homage to Swansong era Carcass as well as bands like Trouble, but with a bit of BalashToth spices on top.
Each song-title on the EP is a part of the “anti-life equation” originally introduced by DC Comics. It’s a mathematical formula carved in the face of the Earth, which enables its master to take away one’s free will - a great metaphor for some political processes going in our world right now.

The second 4 song BalashToth EP, called “=Equation=” is going to be released on the 26th September 2024, with the first single “Loneliness+Alienation” coming on 1st August. The song is a fierce old school melodic death metal attack in the vein of At The Gates/Dimension Zero/Dismember/Entombed.
Each song-title on the EP is a part of the “anti-life equation” originally introduced by DC Comics. It’s a mathematical formula carved in the face of the Earth, which enables its master to take away one’s free will - a great metaphor for some political processes going in our world right now.
Deathmetalvoicer again did an awesome job with the vocals on this song and the others. Can't thank him enough!
