Karen-chanThe chaotic merge of mine has fine been rendered! Getting the video took like 8 hours (with SAFOR because I'm not running 90gb of pure shit) and the audio is one hell of a different story... I'll explain that in a bit (at the bottom).
Also, is it just me or are there still artifacts, even in 1080p60? Something just seems... off (might be my win8.1 install).

There is probably a shit ton more authors I am missing but most of the vids I have found are either private or gone so.... not really much I can do there.
Now, for an explanation on the audio: If you have seen ooo 000's vid (over here youtu.be/OqrsT6tY47c), it sounds like a distorted mess which I unironically like (minus the tempo being off). I rendered my own version (in its entirety) last December. Everything sounded fine until it hit the 3:00 mark. At that point, all sound was muted (somewhat) for 30-ish seconds before coming back, melody completely hidden behind the spam until the very end. My initial reaction was "welp.... it rendered at least" but then I found out about SAFC having an option where you can split a midi on a certain tick and I realize I can (ab)use that feature.
With that knowledge, I split the midi into three parts: Part one going from 0:00 to 3:00, Part two going from 3:00 to 3:33, and Part three going from 3:32 to the end.
Part one I played in its entirety with no modification (40-ish gb of shit) at 100,000 voices. Part two I had to mute several channels (300 or so mbs) and played at 60,000 voices. Finally... part three.
For a minute and 30 seconds, this midi was a fucking nightmare to play. For starters, it contained two of the biggest crash points at 3:59 to 4:01 and somewhere past the 4:20 mark (taking up about 44gb). At first, I muted several channels to begin with (since it was already hell to hear the melody), but outside sources and computer crashes made this midi never get past the 3:00 mark. Then KMC fucked up and started spewing empty wav files so I spent some time there fixing that (this was spring break). Then, outside forces kept fucking with the midi so I kept getting screwed over. Finally, recently, I made another split version but used midi note threshold to greatly reduce the spam and ran that through kmc (with 60,000 voices still), thinking it would finish completely. However, I set the wrong tick length and one weeks worth of KMC got me almost a minute of sound (this was the 44th conversion... I counted). At this point, I wanted this to end so I re-split the original midi again, made it longer, sent it through Midi note threshold, and ran it through KMC with 25,000 voices now. Thankfully, this actually finished and part 3 was finally finished (on the 45th attempt, one day before I compressed the original midi!!!).
10 min of combining the wav files later, and I have the fully combined sftdp (insert catchy name here) v1.4 audio file! I think it all goes together well except I can't really tell if 3:35 goes well. It sounds... off for some reason to me.
If you actually bothered to read all of this, thank you. I really don't know why I put so much effort into making the audio sound good but I really care more about the quality of the audio than video quality. This is probably the most effort I will ever put into a midi. I really... really wanted this to sound alright for anyone that listens to this vid.

Again.... Thank you.[Black Midi] Septette for the Dead Princess (Insert Catchy Name Here) v1.5 [FINAL] 12 billionKaren-chan2024-04-19 | NOTE: I DID NOT MAKE THIS !!! This version of the was created by Hydri. It's by far the best release of the midi and the most in sync sftdp midi.
Making this video was honestly pretty fun and a tad challenging. The desktop I normally use has been repurposed and completely moved over to Linux so doing anything would be hard af (it only has 16gb of ram and I don't want to break current setup). This is partially the same for my laptop but that has 64gb and justtttt enough free space for this giant midi. Thank god KMC works super well under wine. Only other issue was the midi size (90gb) but I used SAFC and split it into three parts (also through wine). Lining it up was a pain though but got it eventually !
KMC: about 3 days (30,000 voices) UMC: 30 min x7 (the video seemed to slow) Kdenlive: About a day (UMC kept causing me issues & DaVinci Resolve was not cooperating)

Sourced footage from 1080p EoE and left in one effect from the DVD. Originally I was going to include the logos + text on screen (was actually able to track down the font, "Gorgeous Duo Serif") but honestly, this is pretty good.
Extremely random but found this way more fun than doing some work for one of my classes hehOuch (1990)Karen-chan2023-01-20 | This is Chris Gore's first short film to be made and there is extremely little about it online. Quality is extremely rough but this is the only footage available besides the small snippets from an interview I found in better quality.
There exists what I believe is a better transfer on a dvd released back in 2005 (Red 1993 from film threat dvd) but no clips from that or any of the other extras exist online besides the short film itself on Youtube and a film threat article.

Also sorry for the slight flickering in color every other second. This is the best footage available besides some various vhs rips. I think a dvd copy could be slightly better (hell this might even be where it's sourced from) but I've only seen the vhs everywhere I look.
EDIT: UMG got offended that I used 31 seconds of audio at 2:33 - 3:04. Weirdest part about this is that it was a manual review so... someone watched this video and recognized the song somehow. No clue how the hell it was found (especially when other copies of the movie exist on this damn site) but oh well. Will mute the audio anyway cause I highly doubt I can fight a copyright over this shit.

I hope. This is my third time uploading this cause I noticed some horrific subtitle errors I missed on rewatch and just had to go fix them (subs are burnt into the video....). If there is yet another error, I'm just gonna go ahead and say download the torrent on nyaa.si because I'm not uploading this again (also you can mess with the subs there, since I know there are several untranslated bits and other parts that could probably be worded better).
Now... back to somewhat og description: Channel that originally had this uploaded went down (bet because of copyright since they uploaded hundred of other films) so decided to host it on this channel. Would highly recommend any work of Chu Ishikawa (mostly does his soundtracks for Shinya Tsukamoto and his films). His ost for Gemini is hella good and it's a shame I can't find anything for his industrial band except one album and a live performance for his band Der Eisenrost on youtube from the small research I've done. Video quality will be shit since this is the best cover I found but audio is flac rip I made (doubt youtube will carry that part over tho). Welp, this quarantine was slowly driving me crazy and with a insane amount of boredom (and loss of sanity), I decided to make a slowed down version of Septette for the dead princess 8.2 million. This took about three days to do, thanks to the lovely amount of tempo events and midicomp being a bitch and only working on linux (fuck you windows 10). Thank god Windows subsystem for linux 2 exist
I honestly like septette this slow for some reason. Sounds really nice but if you want to, change the video speed to x2 in case you want to hear the midi normal.

Only issue: the last 50 seconds in the midi (from 3:33 to 4:20) contain the most notes in the midi, and the biggest nps (320 million-ish and 7?? million-ish). KMC is currently stuck on 4:00.(((EDIT: computer restarted last week.... fuck)))
lil side note: I might make just a note counter video for insert catchy name here 1.4 (or might actually put in some time to OR that beast). Audio is completely done (everything from 3 min after to 4:20-ish sounds like absolute shit and un hearable but still kinda niceWho killed captain Alex? but the entire audio was converted to a midi [W2M Converter]Karen-chan2019-12-23 | Edit: welp..... I delayed posting this for almost a month now. I would blame school but I've had a lack of interest for uploading this month (and last month as well) tho, I have a few vids planned. One of them is playing simba's piano elipse Two faced lovers (the 5-6 billion one) and one that goes completely against my last video... rendering the audio of sftdp (insert catchy name here) v1.4 [the finale, I hope]. The audio for it is completely done (after a few days of waiting) and I have created two wav files: one that sounds good, the other is ear rape (just for the hell of it).
I hope y'all have a merry Christmas and enjoy the video!
(Original) Welp, I got bored. I spent quite a bit of time getting the wav file converted to a mid (due to it being an hour and 8 min long) which caused my PC to freeze up several times. In the end after converting this, the midi was surprisingly small (given that this is a movie I converted) but I used Charlie yen's converter so that might be why.
I would like to thank Wakaliwood for letting me use their movie. This is one of my favorite movies to watch (and perfect for my private plex server). Go check them out!

welp... this was an interesting shit post (Hvmw svok, yvuliv gsv grtvi nzurz proo nv sggkh://blfgf.yv/wJd4d9DtCxJ)An update to my sftdp merge (more info in description)Karen-chan2019-11-17 | Edit (18/2/2020): ...
Fuck what I said about not rendering it, audio is about halfway done and will probably OR it once I completely finish it.
Why do I do this to myself?
Original: finally had enough time to finish this video. it was going to be longer but like i said, school is a pain in the ass (test, homework, quizzes, oh boy). I will, however, post the original script i had since it goes in detail a little more to why i didn't notice this fuck up till late October. Before i began, I have another vid coming soon. I turned an entire movie's into a midi (using w2m) and played it in Zenith (Who killed captain Alex). I think i am allowed to do this (since the full movie is on youtube thanks to the director himself) but idk.
Now, the script:
Alright, here it is, the much needed update to my merge insert catchy name here.
I'm going to be honest, I didn't even realize this midi needed to be fixed until ooo 000 made a video on September 18th ( youtu.be/OqrsT6tY47cIn) In it, the BPM is set to 120 throughout the entire video. Hell, I would have known earlier but UMP just read track 0 and told me everything was ok while about 20000+ other trackshad 120 set before the note bomb. So after a lot of hex editing (Thank you Gingeas for helping me) and using SAFC to get rid of the rest of the tempo events (Thank you Alex as well), the cycle of broken merges by me is finally broken.
Due to this midi taking for-fucking ever to edit, I will probably not add anymore midis to this merge. So ruben, don't bother asking me to add more midis. I will just ignore you.
The download link for V 1.4 is in the description below. If you don't mind a shit ton of notes flashing by on your screen, then go ahead and download it. Just remember the midi takes up about 90GB of storage.
With all that said, enjoy my sftdp spam bomb (that nobody will probably play)
This will probably be the last sftdp merge I ever make (since i highly doubt I will willing make it bigger than 11.5 billion notes). The audio is mostly masked by notes (ooo 000's vid is proof) so don't expect it to sound good (it's like decimation mode kinda)
Enjoy[Black Midi] Kumakkis Black MIDI MedleyKaren-chan2019-10-17 | (several hours of waiting for this video to upload later) Welp, that took a bit of time. Didn't realize this video was 27GB till I began uploading it to youtube (probably due to the vid being 21 min long).
Other than that little issue, I kinda like this midi
One last thing: I'm currently hex editing the shit out of insert catchy name 1.1 (because boredom and not wanting to do my school work). Besides the first track, there are so many fucking tempo events (like over 100 I to delete right now... and another 1000 more to come I guess).
This is fun...[Black Midi] Septette for the dead princess geometry mode v2 171 millionKaren-chan2019-10-07 | So... this video been on youtube since September 20th. Why I didn't make it public till now, idk. Probably due to school (spanish 2 is hard af). Anyway, here it is

Before I began, if you have epilepsy, there is a high risk of having an epileptic seizures (I left the note speed pretty high when making this video) so please take this into account when watching this video.
OK with that said, thank you all for 51 subs on this channel and for watching/listening to my vids. For a channel that started off making memz videos (insert cold shiver here), it truly amazes me how this channel has evolved. Again, thank you all for subscribing and I hope you enjoy this video.

Any recommendations would be nice![Black MIDI] Night of Knights Extended Ver. 2.1.0 90 millionKaren-chan2019-08-06 | At last, I have enough time to make a black midi vid. I was gone for half of July for Philemont (hiked 69 miles with a 40+ pound bag on my back). Also, I have golf tryouts this week so I spent a lot of time practicing for that as well. Would have done tau (or sftdp 8.8 million) but I haven't made a vid for this midi yet and I thought this sounded rather.... Interesting.

EnjoyIts bitch lasagna but...Karen-chan2019-04-24 | Everytime pewdiepie says t-series it plays youtube rewind 2018 (insert puking sound here) but everytime something cringy happens it plays champion ayaya
This is what happens when I get really... REALLY bored I dare somebody to watch this all in one sitting (hell even make boneclicks suffer through it)
Also, (because YouTube content id is weird) it decided to copyright claim me for using happier by Marshmello at 6:28:15 through 6:28:30. This is funny because it didn't copyright me for any of the other times that YouTube rewind 2018 clip was looped (maybe 12 times at most)
Also also, fuck video quality[Black Midi] Scarlet Zone & TYDoT 97 million 256 keysKaren-chan2019-04-18 | Since 256 keys seem popular, I have decided to try and make a video of one using another one of Vetkrix's midis: Scarlet Zone & TYDoT. This was kinda fun to make and to see the final product.
Note: So this was actually a little harder to make than my normal videos. For reasons that can not be explained, the audio starts a little late into the video but somehow syncs back up somewhere around 1:20 (It could have been earlier but I'm not sure). Also after 2:28 the audio begins to desync a little but thankfully Zenith slows down for this (and saves a shit ton of editing).
Specs: Windows 10, Intel i7-6700, ram 16 GB, 200 GB pagefile ( I really should make that smaller)
peak: 1.72 GB time to render: 34.93 min. kmc: a reasonable time vsdc: around 20 min. (the transparent background took most of the time)
Upcoming videos: Either my 11:59:57 long video will come next or my challenge info video. The painfully long video is already uploaded (with a copyright claim of happier by Marshmellow. Thanks a lot content id), but I don't know if i should post that first or the info vid.[Black Midi] Defantasia 1.5 billionKaren-chan2019-04-16 | Holy Fucking Shit
This midi took for fucking ever to load. Yukari was smoking way too much weed when thedipperpinez27 made this. It took literally 2 weeks for me to get the FULL midi video in Zenith miditrail (so many fucking crashes). It took another two days for me to get the audio in kmc with somewhere around 15000 voices. Thedipperpinez27, congratulations for making this the longest I have ever spent to create and edit a black midi video.
Also a little note for Colin Perez: I will use the Pfa plugin in either my next vid or the one after it (more info about my little challenge idea or scarlet zone by Vetkrix but there are 256 keys). According to Vetkrix the twist is that 7.64 million of the strum notes are gone. I personally can't hear any difference but it does sound pretty good
