THE GOLDEN DECADES
The late 70s and 80s were incredible for music, and not just because of the hair and neon. You had disco legends like DONNA SUMMER creating these massive, orchestral dance anthems, theatrical rock bands like KISS and ALICE COOPER putting on shows that were basically Broadway meets heavy metal, and synth-pop pioneers like PET SHOP BOYS crafting these sophisticated electronic soundscapes.
MODERN TALKING was doing their own thing with Eurodisco, JOHN MILES was building epic arrangements that could fill stadiums, and everyone seemed to have this attitude of "let's try something completely different." And now imagine all these bands and acts in a single song! Artists back then weren't afraid to experiment, to be a bit ridiculous, or to throw completely different sounds together just to see what would happen. Pop stars would bring in metal guitarists for solos that were way too technical for radio. Disco producers would layer on strings like they were scoring a movie. That kind of creative fearlessness is rare these days, but it's exactly what inspired “Living For The Night”!

ABOUT ERANAËS
ERANAËS began in April 2022 with recording "After The Rain," where I got to work with vocalist Margarita Monet and keyboard legend Derek Sherinian. That track mixed melodic rock with progressive metal elements, and having musicians of that caliber involved really set the tone for what ERANAËS could become.

The whole idea is that each release can be a totally new adventure. "After The Rain" was this melodic progressive metal journey, "Living For The Night" became a celebration of disco and glam rock excess. The next song could go somewhere completely different, and that's the point. It's about collaboration, too. Working with different musicians means every project brings new perspectives and ideas. You never know what's going to happen when you put the right people in a room together, and those unexpected moments are often where the best music comes from. Each release is a new experiment. Some work better than others, but that's part of the process. It's about pushing boundaries, having fun with music again, and not taking yourself so seriously that you forget why you started making music in the first place.
