We got to experience tanking with hydrogen at two refueling stations and arrived around seven in a city near Immendingen. Tomorrow we will go to the track and set everything up to start our World Record Attempt on Friday. Hydrogen Efficiency Challenge Aftermovie | Eco Runner Team Delft Eco-Runner Team Delft 2021-12-27 | Watch the Aftermovie of the Hydrogen Efficiency Challenge! English subtitles available! On the 11th of June, the Hydrogen Efficiency Challenge took place and we raced with the Eco-Runner XI at Circuit Park Berghem.Unfortunately the on-track competition of the Shell Eco-marathon 2021 was canceled. This did however not stop us from organising our own race. We joined forces with Green Team Twente and HAN Hydromotive and the Hydrogen Efficiency Challenge was born. On friday June 11th, we presented our hydrogen city car at Circuit Park Berghem and tried to race the most efficient race.After measuring the hydrogen levels at the beginning and the end of the race, the results of the day were announced and… We are proud to say that we, Eco-Runner Team Delft, won the Hydrogen Efficiency Challenge 2021 with an efficiency score of 3396 km/kg hydrogen! This efficiency broke our previous personal record of 2500 km/kg. We couldn't be more proud, a wonderful compliment to a year of hard work!

We, from Eco-Runner Team Delft - a student team from the Delft University of Technology - believe hydrogen will play a key role in the energy transition. We therefore dedicate a full year to building the most efficient hydrogen-powered city car. In the car, we will use is green hydrogen, which is made by splitting water into oxygen and hydrogen with renewable energy, such as solar- or wind energy. This makes green hydrogen a sustainable energy carrier. In a car, hydrogen combines with oxygen to generate energy. The only byproduct of the fuel cell is water. Refueling the car is an easy and fast process and is also extremely safe, due to the high volatility of hydrogen. Hydrogen offers a wide range of possibilities in mobility and many other sectors. Eco-Runner X: Aerodynamic Eco Competition Eco-Runner Team Delft 2020-08-26 | On the 28th and 29th of July, we competed against Green Team Twente and HAN Hydromotive to determine the most aerodynamic vehicle. This gave us the opportunity to still compete against each other, despite the canceled Shell Eco-marathon. We would like to thank Koninklijke NLR and DNW German-Dutch Wind Tunnels for this incredible experience. We learned a lot and we can use this lesson for further improvements in the future.
