Both are naturally aspirated V12s and both sound incredible, but they are also quite distinct in character. Can Cosworth’s smaller, less torquey engine really live up to the legendary S70/2 created by Paul Rosche at BMW M? There are 12,400 reasons why it might…We also look at the differences in design and how the luggage storage has changed from the F1 and why there is what looks like a big panel gap in the roof of the T.50. One of the big improvements that was inevitable but also required for the newer car was the fitment of better lights, so we thought we should drive the T.50 at night to prove they work. And it turns out the illumination is spectacular… at both ends of the car. Perhaps the biggest GMA T.50 surprise, however, comes with the way its spine-tingling engine combines with the chassis. The F1 is not perfect in this regard because it is quite softly suspended and the steering requires a certain amount of muscle. It sometimes doesn’t feel light, even though it is. The T.50 on the other hand feels as lithe and responsive as you would expect for something that has a dry weight of just 997kg. And even better, it can be grabbed by the scruff of the neck and driven hard. It is genuinely fun as well as impressive. DRIVING the stunning NEW Aston Martin Vantage | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2024-05-12 | A TWIN-TURBO V-8!!! In this review of the new Aston Martin Vantage, Henry Catchpole ponders wherefore and how art the 656bhp baby of the range is like a James Bond film. Of course we are familiar with 007 driving a silver slice of Newport Pagnell or Gaydon’s finest, but it’s far from the only predictable trope - music, gadgets, villains, M, Q, Moneypenny, all are expected. And so it is with the spec sheet of a Vantage. The looks are instantly recognisable - more so than the last generation - with classically Aston Martin design cues. And it is stunning. The engine is up the front, as you’d expect, albeit behind the front wheels. Predictably the power is going solely to the rear and it is a V8 providing the 656bhp and 590lb ft. More specifically it is a 4-litre, twin-turbo with its origins at AMG. It’s a script that is comforting in its recognisability.It is also very recognisable if you have perused the particulars of the Aston Martin DB12 that was launched in 2023. In fact, save for a couple of seats and a very minor discrepancy in the power figures, they look like nearly identical cars. Even the Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S tyres are the same size, front and rear. So, one of the big questions for Henry Catchpole was whether the new Vantage would feel markedly different to drive. The setting for the test was the countryside near Seville in southern Spain, with the blood red Rio Tinto running through it. We also took a new Vantage - this time decked out in an F1 safety car colour scheme - to the Monteblanco circuit for some fast laps. Of course there was the opportunity to try out the handling with the new nine-stage traction control turned off, but it was also interesting to see how the Vantage’s 50 percent increase in cooling helped the car cope with 32 degrees celsius (90F) temperatures.At £165,000 or $191,000, the new Aston Martin Vantage is in competition with the Porsche 911 Turbo S, the Mercedes AMG GT, the Ferrari Roma and potentially the Maserati MC20. Driving the TVRs Test Track in the Tuscan Speed Six | Henry Catchpole - The Driver’s Seat Hagerty 2024-04-10 | The TVR Tuscan Speed Six is 25 years old, so early cars are now eligible for import in the USA. And that seemed like a very good excuse to take one on a trip around some roads that should feel very familiar to it. TVR didn’t have a test track like Weissach, Nardo or the Nurburgring Nordschleife on its doorstep, so it used the roads near the factory in Blackpool (the UK’s answer to Las Vegas). Luckily there are some great stretches of tarmac in Lancashire. To really celebrate the full scope of the Tuscan, we also brought together the bookends of the Speed Six story at the very impressive Hilton and Moss facility near London. At one end of the scale is an early, red, 2000 Tuscan with its distinctive pierced grille and steampunk, bimetallic interior. At the other chronological end is a Tuscan 2 Convertible with a wavy dash and slightly more aero exterior. The latter also has some of TVR’s distinctive and expensive Reflex flip paint. As the Tuscan Speed Six generally got better to drive throughout its life, we picked the later, 2005, Convertible to take on the journey (the Red car also has less than 10,000miles on the clock!). It has a 3.6-litre version of the Speed Six engine with 360bhp and 318lb ft of torque. The straight-six is not known as the most reliable engine, but Hilton and Moss’s engineers had an interesting perspective on how it should be approached. Nobody is quite sure what the future holds for the TVR badge in 2024. There has obviously been the promise of a Cosworth-powered car with a Gordon Murray chassis, but equally there has been talk of an EV. The new factory in Wales doesn’t seem to be an option any more and they are reportedly now headquartered at Donington, but ways of contacting them are thin on the ground. However, whether there is a new TVR or not, cars from the company’s past - like the Tuscan Speed Six - seem somehow more relevant than ever. The very analogue nature of the cars combined with interiors that seem even more impressive in the current restomod era, means that they have a surprisingly timeless quality to them. First, he takes a quick ride along and attends a car meet with Nobuteru Taniguchi, also known as "Nob," which stands for "No One Better." During this time with Nob, they also meet Maaya Orido, the daughter of the legendary racer Max Orido. Naturally, they decide to visit Max's shop. Finally, they have an exciting experience at Daigo Saito's shop, where he has a personal drift course for himself and his friends to enjoy when they need a break from work. Daigo Saito is arguably Japan's most famous drifter and car builder today. 8 Laps Versus a Pro in the NEW Maserati MC20 GT2 | Henry Catchpole - The Driver’s Seat Hagerty 2024-03-27 | The new Maserati MC20 GT2 is very cool, very new and Henry Catchpole has driven it. What’s more, it might just spawn a road car to rival a Porsche 911 GT3 RS. For the moment it is the freshest entrant to the Fanatic GT2 race series, competing against cars such as the Lamborghini Huracan, Audi R8, Mercedes-AMG GT and KTM X-Bow as well as a Porsche 911, obviously. It is also the successor to the legendary MC12 Corse.With the same 621bhp, turbocharged Nettuno V6 as the Maserati MC20 street car, the GT2 version is definitely not lacking in performance. But it is also meant to be more approachable than a GT3 car. It should be approachable for an amateur as well as incredibly quick in the hands of a professional. To put this to the test, Henry Catchpole was given eight laps to get as close as possible to the time of Maserati’s multiple championship-winning test and development driver, Andrea Bertolini.Just to add to the pressure, the track is the Autodromo di Modena, a circuit that Catchpole has never driven before. And he had to talk to camera while driving. And it’s well known that a Croissant for breakfast makes you slower. And if you just turn to page 439 of the BIG Book of Racing Driver Excuses… Thankfully the MC20 GT2 has both adjustable ABS and traction control to lend a hand and the secondary controls were all laid out according to the teachings of a certain Michael Schumacher. The bodywork is carbon fibre but the brakes are steel. The GT2 category doesn’t prioritise aero like a GT3 car, but nonetheless it will generate over 1000kg of downforce with its splitter, wing, diffuser and flat floor. The gearbox is still paddle-operated, but the ratios are in a six speed sequential rather than a dual clutch ‘box. The dihedral doors remain from the road car and the GT2 can also be fitted with a second seat, to allow for training. Or just very fun passenger rides. New Range Rover Sport SV Review | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2024-03-12 | An initial worldwide run of 2500 First Edition Range Rover Sport SVs - costing £185,000 or $180,300 each - has ALREADY SOLD OUT, so the concept is clearly a popular one. As a vehicle it might be a little hard to fathom initially, and plenty will ask what the point is, but the aspect of the SV that arguably makes it interesting is that it still has proper off-road capability. While a Ferrari Purosangue might wince at the thought of much more than a muddy car park, the Range Rover Sport SV has been through the same off-road tests as its Land Rover brethren. Even while wearing those carbon fiber rims. That's right: The new Range Rover Sport SV can be bought with carbon fiber wheels. Huge, 23-inch carbon fiber wheels. What’s more, you can have enormous carbon ceramic brakes with 440mm discs and eight piston calipers. Add in an anti-roll system that we’ve previously seen on supercars and you have a Land Rover capable of tackling totally new territory for the brand.Whilst cars like the Porsche 911 Dakar and Lamborghini Huracan Sterrato seek to broaden their sporty horizons on muddier terrain, the new Range Rover Sport SV is setting its sights on the smooth tarmac of race circuits. Everyone it seems is blurring the lines these days. On the international launch, Henry Catchpole drove the SV around the testing twists and turns of Portimao and was frankly astonished at what the Land Rover was capable of. The 6D Dynamics system for the chassis keeps the SV incredibly flat, both laterally in the corners and longitudinally under acceleration and braking. It’s helped by a redesigned rear subframe and and a ride height that is 25mm lower than a standard Range Rover Sport when in its new SV mode. There is also a considerably quicker steering ratio and the option of new Michelin Pilot Sport 5 S summer tyres to help get the most from the chassis By comparison with the chassis, the powertrain is a bit of a sideshow. The BMW-sourced 4.4-litre, mild hybrid, twin-turbo V8 sounds quite pleasing, but is very demure acoustically when compared to the old SVR’s 5-litre Supercharged V8. However, producing 635bhp and 553lb ft of torque it has plenty of propulsion to propel the SV to 62mph in just 3.8 seconds on all-season rubber or 3.6 seconds on the summer tyres. But that had nothing to do with the truck itself.In fact, the truck itself had little to do with Lamborghini — conceived as a project to keep the Sant' Agata factory running while the company that Ferruccio built fought to stave off bankruptcy. The story behind the development is astonishing: originally conceived as the XR311 by two men while working for Food Machinery Corporation (FMC), they approached the Italian supercar manufacturer for help in building the off-road vehicle as a bid to produce it for a U.S. government contract.Founding their own company, Mobility Technology Incorporated, or MTI, the men built a prototype in California, which Lamborghini then took to the Geneva Motor Show as a Lamborghini Cheetah. What happened next was a series of lawsuits, mishaps, misappropriation of funds, and the derailment of the BMW M1 project, resulting in Lamborghini;'s bankruptcy. The company's savior was a 20-something French billionaire, who made the decision to install a Countach V12 and a luxurious interior, and sell the Lamborghini Militaria vehicle to the Jet Set.And the car itself? Snow drifting! Driving INSANE Cars on Snow and Ice! | Henry Catchpole - The Driver’s Seat Hagerty 2024-02-28 | The F.A.T. Ice Race in Aspen - co-driven by Mobil 1 - must be the coolest car event on the planet. Where else could you hope to see the 1998 Porsche 911 GT1 that won Le Mans sliding around on snow alongside a genuine Police Mini? At this inaugural running of the US edition of the F.A.T. Ice Race, Henry Catchpole soaks up the atmosphere, hitches a lift in a Group B Audi Sport Quattro S1 and drives three very different cars… and a piste basher!Visit us at https://www.hagerty.com!The F.A.T. Ice Race is the brainchild of Ferdi Porsche and in order to understand more about the event and the F.A.T. International brand, Henry jumped into the passenger seat of Ferdi’s very rare 964 Carrera 4 Lightweight. One of just 20 cars ever produced it is effectively a 964 RS with manually adjustable 4WD. Needless to say, Ferdi drives it with gusto and no little skill. First of the cars that Catchpole got to drive was the Corvette E-Ray. It proved to be one of the quickest cars around the snowy course, thanks to its clever hybrid all-wheel drive system that utilises an electric motor on the front axle in addition to the 6.2-litre, naturally aspirated V8 powering the rear wheels. It also has heated seats and a heated steering wheel, which was nice - sideways, but snug. Second on the driving list was Nismo’s Safari Z which was created as a working concept for the SEMA show in 2023. Its classic front-engined, rear-drive balance was perfect for some snow drifting and the spot lamps were perhaps only outdone by the Ford Escort WRC car that was also in attendance. The final car that Henry Catchpole got behind the wheel of was the most extraordinary - Ryan Tuerck’s 1966 Toyota Stout pickup. This is no ordinary Stout, with a custom chassis, beautiful, exposed cantilever rear suspension and a turbocharged four-cylinder under the bonnet, delivering 600bhp. All the considerable steering lock was certainly put to good use! As well as driving cars we also took time to interview some of the other drivers. We chatted to Tuerck, obviously, but also Le Mans winners Stéphane Ortelli and Emanuele Pirro, 911 guru Leh Keen and all round legend Jeff Zwart. Jo Scarbo was also quizzed about his brand new creation the SV Rover, which made its debut at the F.A.T Ice Race in Aspen. An homage to Land Rovers, but with a mid-engined 1000bhp supercharged V8, 30-inches of Baja truck wheel travel and movable bodywork, it is quite the piece of kit.We hope you enjoy this bumper episode of The Driver’s Seat. The Lotus Elise, McLaren F1 Gold Foil, and... Toothpaste? | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2024-02-14 | The Series 1 Lotus Elise is one of the greats. And so, obviously, is the McLaren F1. As standard they share a dedication to lightweight and driver involvement. Purity personified. But now this evolution of the Elise from Analogue Automotive takes the connection even further. The SuperSport puts a bit of gold in the engine bay of the Lotus.It does much more besides. For a start, the 1.8-litre Rover K Series engine is fully reworked so that it produces 210bhp and 160lb ft of torque. It does this without resorting to any sort of forced induction, yet remains supremely drivable. No lumpy cam histrionics or peaky, narrow power bands here. It’s matched to a close ratio ‘box, a Quaife ATB LSD, lighter flywheel and motorsport driveshafts.As Steffen Dobke - founder of Analogue Automotive - explains in the film, the Lotus Elise’s chassis has received just as much attention. It begins with a full restoration, stripping the bonded extruded aluminium tub back as far as it will go so that it can be cleaned up and made as good as new. The rear subframe is also strengthened slightly. The original steel wishbones are replaced, in this case with a wider track and Nitron Clubsport dampers. There is also a quicker steering rack and lightweight steering arms.Although the beautiful bodywork isn’t fundamentally changed, it appears wider thanks to the lower ride height and some clever alterations to the lights. At the rear, the lower grilles become functional and the reversing and fog lights replace what were previously merely reflectors. And when Rover was folded, together with Triumph, into the dysfunctional British Leyland conglomerate, this is the outcome. The SD1 replaced both the Triumph 2000 and the Rover 2000, formerly direct mid-size sedan competitors.It used Triumph construction methods, suspension, transmission, and steering, together with Rover's 3.5-liter all-aluminum V-8, which started out as the Buick 215. Its exterior styling was straight-up copied... errr... inspired by the Maserati Indy and Ferrari Daytona and BB, inside and out.In addition to immediately winning the coveted 1977 European Car of the Year award, the magazine reviews were outrageously positive. And then it all started to fall apart — literally. The SD1 was a victim of Leyland's cost-cutting and dysfunctional management, and sometimes-hilarious build quality issues scarred its reputation.However, as automotive journalist Jason Cammisa points out — the fundamentals were incredible, and there was a gaping chasm between the Rover's fundamentally (very) sound engineering and its shoddy build quality. It made a great police car, it made a highly successful racing car, with BSCC, French saloon-car and RAC TT wins, beating even the Mercedes-Cosworth W201 190E 2.3-16 to win the 1986 DTM season.What follows in this fun, interesting documentary about the history of the Rover SD1, is an incredible story of enthusiasts getting exactly what they wanted — but not quite. The Last Dance: Audi R8 GT RWD | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2024-01-31 | The Audi R8 GT RWD is the swan song for the four-ringed super sportscar. It is a very fitting finale too, because it encapsulates so much of what has made the R8 special throughout its 20 year history. Since the original concept car designed by Frank Lamberty back in 2003, the R8 has captured people’s imaginations and changed the perception of fast Audi road cars. In this latest episode of The Driver’s Seat on the Hagerty YouTube channel, Henry Catchpole takes a journey back through the Audi R8 story. He looks at the car’s outstanding attributes, which include everything from usability, to laser lights, to a predilection for oversteer. However, he also shines a light on some of the less well-known aspects of the R8 story. Did you know, for example, that there was a diesel version of the R8? Or that the LMS version raced successfully for more than 24 hours? And do you know where the R8 name came from? With the help of Tom Kristensen we reveal that at the end of the film - a big thank you to Martin Halusa and Peter Chambers Automotive for their generosity and assistance with that part. The R8 GT RWD itself is magnificent. Its 5.2-litre, naturally aspirated V10 puts out 611bhp and 417lb ft of torque. That makes it the most powerful rear-wheel drive R8 ever. It also has shorter gearing for its 7-speed S-Tronic dual-clutch gearbox, helping it to sprint to 62mph from rest in just 3.4sec. It will still hit 199mph too. Lighter, forged alloys are also part of the package, along with a system called Torque Rear (which is a bit like McLaren’s Variable Drift Control).All in all, the R8 GT RWD highlights just what a spectacular car we are losing. A go in an original R8 V8 with a beautiful open-gate manual also highlights just what a bargain they are in the used market. Will we one day see an e-Tron, all-electric version of an R8? Twin-Charged Terror: Driving the Wild Lancia Delta S4 Stradale | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2024-01-17 | Visit us at http://www.Hagerty.com ---- Henry Catchpole is back on his favorite topic: Rallying! Of all the WRC Group B rally cars, the Lancia Delta S4 is the wildest, which makes the Stradale or street version very special indeed. This one is currently for sale with Girardo & Co and it should be one of around 200 in existence. But it’s not. Lancia was meant to build a couple of hundred to satisfy the homologation rules of Group B at the time, but someone was clearly a bit lax with their counting as it’s thought only around 70 or 80 were ever made. This is chassis number 033. So, the Delta S4 Stradale is a rare car. It is also a ground-breaking one because it is the first road car to use twin charging. As the name suggests, that means it has both a supercharger and a turbocharger on its 1.8-litre four-cylinder engine. The idea is that the supercharger helps with response lower down in the rev range, while the turbocharger takes care of producing the big power once the exhaust gases are flowing. You might remember this type of engine from an earlier film on the Hagerty channel with the Kimera EVO37.It’s not just the engine that is different from a regular Delta either. In fact only the grille, windscreen and rear lights are shared parts. The bodywork is largely made up of two huge, spectacular clamshells, while the chassis underneath is a tubular space frame. Inside, however, the S4 is surprisingly comfortable with good ergonomics, lots of soft Alcantara and seats by Zagato. To that extent it’s a world away from its competition counterpart…The Group B era of rallying is of course known for its wild cars, big crowds and tragic accidents and the S4 Corse was really central to the narrative. As we discuss in this film, the S4 was perhaps the most monstrous car of that period. Henri Toivonen was arguably its greatest exponent and with Sergio Cresto alongside him they took some famous victories. Very sadly it was also that crew’s demise on Corsica in 1986 that would ensure the end of Group B. The motorsport stories and the fascinating engineering all add up to an incredible car, which we hope you enjoy seeing and hearing about in this film. Two-Car Solution... with a TWIST! Ariel Atom 4R & Civic Type R | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2024-01-03 | Visit us at https://www.hagerty.com. --- An Ariel Atom 4R and…? The fantasy garage game is a good one. Especially when you start putting in some rules. The most basic restriction is to limit the number of cars that you can choose, but after that you can start getting creative. In today’s episode of The Driver’s Seat on Hagerty, Henry Catchpole ponders a two car garage where the cars must share an engine…There are all sorts of possible engine options from Mercedes and BMW and Ferrari and Jaguar Land Rover, but the one that Catchpole has chosen is from Honda. The 2-litre, four-cylinder turbocharged K20C isn’t the most exciting engine when set against some of the other options like a naturally aspirated Ferrari V12 or a twin-turbo V8 from AMG, but it is attached to two very different but brilliant drivers’ cars.The obvious one is the Honda Civic Type R FL5. Now a little more demure in the looks department but no less fun or tactile to drive. The other half of the garage is taken up with the wild new Ariel Atom 4R. The R takes the engine’s outputs up to 400bhp and 369lb ft of torque. It also adds a Quaife sequential gearbox with paddle shift and, if you want, quite a bit of aero. What hasn’t changed, however, is the fundamentally brilliant chassis of the standard Atom 4, which makes it absolutely brilliant to drive - even when you’re on a soaking wet Anglesey circuit. This R also offers a seven stage traction control system and a twelve stage Bosch ABS system as options to help you out, while you can up the ante even more by adding carbon wheels and carbon ceramic brakes. A very diverse duo then, but with an engine in common and driving enjoyment at their respective cores. Quite the two car garage. The complete time-lapse of Davin restoring our Ford 351 Cleveland from the barn find De Tomaso Pantera that Tom and Brian found. It's been a long journey, but it's all worth it when you hear the engine fire up for the first time. A WRC car for the road? Driving Prodrives P25 Subaru Impreza | Henry Catchpole - The Driver’s Seat Hagerty 2023-12-20 | Back in 1997, Prodrive built the first Subaru Impreza of the WRC era that took over from Group A in the World Rally Championship. Now, to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the WRC97 that Colin McRae, Piero Liatti and Kenneth Eriksson all drove to the 1997 Manufacturers’ title, the same company in Banbury has produced what it claims is a road-going version of a WRC Impreza and it’s called the P25. Some have suggested that the P25 is a restomod of a 22B (or P1), but although it looks very similar, it is quite a different car under the skin. In fact the skin itself is different, because almost all the P25’s bodywork is made of carbon fibre. In lightest, pared-back track spec it weighs just 1150kg. The EJ25 Engine is also substantially upgraded and produces 450bhp and 442lb ft of torque, meaning a 0-60mph time of under three seconds. Sport Plus mode also brings Anti-Lag to the party, which does nothing for fuel economy and everything for response and entertainment.There is also bespoke suspension, a new interior by Callum Designs (with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto), AP Racing pedals and brakes, a choice of seats and a hydraulic handbrake in addition to the electric parking brake. But perhaps the centrepiece of the whole car is the gearbox; a Prodrive six-speed sequential with helical cut dog gears. It’s operated by a single paddle that you pull towards you to change up and push away to change down. There is also a fly-by-wire clutch that you don’t need to touch at all when you engage the rather spectacular launch control. Sadly only 25 P25s are being produced and each one starts at £552,000. It also won’t be for everyone as it is undoubtedly a pretty focused and at times raw experience. But it is also hugely involving and exciting and lives up to those claims of being a WRC car for the road. As with the other, very different, rally restomod that I drove earlier this year, the Kimera EVO37, the world is a slightly brighter place for it existing. There is also a suggestion that this could just be the start for a new road car arm of Prodrive, so watch this space. I’m hoping for an older four-door Impreza next with a manual and unequal length headers. And to be able to take it to a track. We hope you enjoy the film. Driving the RML SWB: A Tribute to the $8M Ferrari 250 GT SWB | Henry Catchpole - The Drivers Seat Hagerty 2023-12-06 | The initials RML may not be very familiar, although the initials SWB no doubt will be. The former stand for Ray Mallock Limited while the latter, of course, stand for Short Wheelbase and are most commonly associated with a Ferrari 250 GT, which this restomod (if it is a restomod) takes its inspiration from. However, this car actually started life as a hypercar… let us explain.Most of RML’s work over the last 40 years has been undertaken on behalf of other people: things like Aston Martin and Bizzarini continuation cars, some championship-winning World and British Touring Cars, the McLaren Senna GTR, the Nio EP9 and the Nissan ZEOD RC which was the Garage 56 entry at Le Mans in 2014 - all have emerged from the RML workshops. But Michael Mallock (Ray’s son, who now runs the company) wanted something for RML to really call its own.The logical thing was to design a Top Trumps car with wild numbers. A hypercar to take on a Koenigsegg Jesko, McLaren Solus or Aston Martin Valkyrie. But after a while Mallock realised that wasn’t the sort of car that he wanted to create. He wanted something that was modern but beautiful like a ‘60s GT and something that was engaging to drive at any speed. Thus the RML SWB was born from the underpinnings of a Ferrari 550 Maranello.Just 30 will be produced, each one costing £1.35million plus taxes, and each will be a tactile delight, with an open gate six-speed manual gearbox, a naturally aspirated V12 and a cabin full of beautifully wrought metal switchgear. Ohlins dampers underneath and carbon bodywork up top complete the picture. Of course you won’t see a Ferrari badge on the outside or inside of the car, but that doesn’t mean there isn’t any heritage associated with the RML badges. You see the Mallock name has its own story and in this film we take a look at the fascinating life of Arthur Mallock, one of motor racing’s true unsung heroes. Cammisa reran the test on untreated (non-VHT) asphalt and got the same numbers — and marvels at how consistently the Cybertruck accelerated. Even with the Battery SoC in the mid-30-percent range after hours of consecutive runs, it still hit 60 in 2.6 seconds, and had only lost 0.3s at the quarter mile.That newfound consistency is partially due to the new 4680 Gen 2 batteries, which are far larger than Tesla's previous 18650 and 2170 batteries, and are manufactured in-house.The Cybertruck is nearly twice as efficient as the Hummer EV, thanks to a Lotus-like obsession with efficiency. With a battery pack of just 123 kWh, it's expected to receive an EPA Range of over 310 miles. And the Cybertruck is even lighter than the Rivian R1T, Hummer, and Lightning — Cammisa weighed them all.
