Speed for both is at 120wpm (colemak-dh ended on 191, qwerty on 121). I normally type faster on colemak (roughly 125-140wpm, 160wpm on common words), I had to slow down harder to not make the difference too huge.
Apologies for the two carets on screen, it's the pace caret on monkeytype, so I'd know how quickly/slowly I was typing.
Wow, I can't believe I've been using colemak-DH for over two years now. Sometimes I forget that I use an absolutely unhinged (to the normals, anyway) way to type. Fortunately, earlier last year I learned how to type in qwerty again for my job. Interestingly, if my hands are on any low profile (i.e. cheap office membrane keyboard), it automatically types in qwerty and struggles a little with colemak. I have the opposite issue when I use any mechanical keyboard. To think that just a different profile changes your muscle memory completely was very unexpected.
I made this video because I felt quite offended when I looked up qwerty vs colemak comparisons. The videos available didn't feel like a good comparison. They either weren't typing fast enough, or the uploader had an abhorrent qwerty typing form (it really isn't a very good comparison to show less travel distance on colemak vs qwerty when the way you type on qwerty only uses 2 fingers on each hand?! even learning to type properly on qwerty would be an upgrade)

if comments are disabled, IT IS NOT BY ME. Youtube automatically disables comments on videos that they deem as 'harmful to minors'. This is so stupid, especially considering how all of my videos shouldn't even be for minors and neither is this platform. Why else give the youtuber an option to mark your video as 'for kids' or 'not for kids'?
