A True, True Friend 8-Bit Version 2.0 PerspectiveZero 2015-04-28 | Greetings once again!Good news: the semester is completed! In celebration of that, I offer a redone version of my currently most viewed MLP 8-Bit. More Than Life - PerspectiveZero PerspectiveZero 2014-05-28 | ...And the hiatus is officially over!Since my last upload, I have finished my exams and am out for the summer, fell into a bit of a creative depression for a couple weeks after my birthday, recorded a cover of Nirvana's "Heart-Shaped Box" with my band Time Mill (link below), began my job and now finished this song."More Than Life" is dedicated to my mother who stood by me and supported my throughout my life despite the awful injustices that befell her and my close family. This song was designed with the intent of orchestral and alternative rock music in mind with some rich vocal harmonies. I will agree, my singing is not by any means the best in this song: I am not a tenor, nor a baritone for the most part, bass vocals is where I feel most comfortable and this song has me sing a few whole steps higher than I would ever want to.As for more 8-Bits, they are on the way; I have been at a bit of a loss in creating them too lately but that has now passed. Bats 8-Bit PerspectiveZero 2014-03-17 | After starting this almost two months ago and now just finally finishing it when I should be working on other work I need to do, it is done. This chiptune contains 35 different instrument effects in the hexadecimal system, which equates to 53 instrument effects in the standard decimal system. This is currently the most diverse MLP 8-Bit I have created to date, however I do not believe I used every one of those instrument effects in it. It's overall intent is to have elements of rock within a mainly techno-type feel to it. It is written mainly in G mixolydian (major) with chromatic and minor variations with the chord progression. Making Cupcakes (in the Minor Mode) PerspectiveZero 2013-10-28 | My first ever holiday-themed-MLP-related post!What you see here is essentially me taking the song Cupcakes and rearranging it in three ways: first simply using the chord progression for strings, second for a metal group and last in a death/funeral dark carnival march. Why it sounds so dark? ... I used the parallel minor of the original key of the song......Daniel Ingram would/must love me for this :)A quick note: Limbo is defined as the first circle of Hell in Inferno by Dante; this is the best eternal damnation could be for someone. The punishment in Limbo is a state of eternal hopelessness and sorrow as you are forever separated from your creator. Melody Compositions (Strings) PerspectiveZero 2013-10-16 | I just want to say I am still alive.These are just a few melodies I made in Music Theory Class I added harmonies and chords to. Some of these I do not like too much.Anyway, I want to everyone that I am working on more 8-Bits at the moment; my classes are not that time-consuming but marching band alone takes 15-20 hours or more a week of my free time and study time. Being a music major is also very time-consuming. Nevertheless, I am about 1/3 done with the next MLP 8-Bit, I have another random 8-Bit I am waiting for art work on to post and a neat cover for Halloween I will post in the next few weeks. I have an idea for an interesting song to post inspired by Halloween and MLP I may compose soon as well; I will see if I have time.
