A giant black hole has destroyed a large star, tossing its insides across space.

NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory looked at the aftermath of this stellar death.

Chandra helped identify the amounts of key elements in the debris field, yielding clues.

This is one of the biggest stars ever destroyed in a “tidal disruption event”.
