I think I mentioned everything in the video itself, but if anybody needs clarification please comment so I’ll write it here
In advance, please don’t be upset if I didn’t pick you; this isn’t a contest of skill, it’s just who I think will use the character to it’s fullest
^ this does not mean to make an entire original story around them, using them as a side character or someone who is able to influence plot is encouraged! If these characters can help your stories and characters develop in any way please take said liberties.
Another note: descriptions can be edited! I’ll be rereading all entries on August 8th for judgement, don’t worry about not mentioning something in the description or not drawing something in particular, the only time they’re being looked at for comparison is on the 8th; you have plenty of time, don’t feel stressed about it.
Clarifications: what I mean when I say ‘write out the backstory’ is, I don’t mean write a novel, I more mean summarize the role your character will be used for, kind of like the way that I write out my story in the descriptions of my videos and toyhouse.

Upload a speedpaint (or drawing) to yt with the tag #QuetzenAdopts1
In the description (or a pinned comment) of the speedpaint, write out what you’ll use the character for backstory-wise

Entries will not be judged on art quality, anyone can enter
They’ll only be judged on how I believe they’ll be used
drawings that relate to the backstory get bonus points

Absolutely no tracing
& please don’t say things like “I won’t win” or “others are so much better than me”
Just put effort into your work and you’ll have a fair shot

Tips I guess
write out your idea somewhere, no matter how vague it is, then start sketching the drawing, that way you can think about your idea while you draw
& also
Take inspiration from other stories! (From several stories/plots/themes, don’t just rip off something)
Don’t stress about being original, inspiration is what makes stories good
