Not a TV theme nor film soundtrack (Unless you include its appearance on 'Waynes World') as is the case with my other tracks, and no stupid video to accompany it either, but what a song!
There's nothing I can say about the original that hasn't already been said.
Plenty of people have done covers of this over the years but I saw one fairly recently as a collaboration with some of the best guitarists ever - Steve Vai, Nuno Bettencourt, Yngwie Malmsteen, Tosin Abasi, Brian May and others which spurred me to try and give it a go.
Obviously my version is nowhere near their level and I made a rod for my own back in replicating everything on guitar, including the piano track which was a pain.
I think at one point I've layered about 6 different guitar tracks which again shows up not just the flaws in my playing but also my mixing in giving everything its own space. But hey it's a learning process!
This is the longest track I've recorded so far aswell.
