Traverse Town - Kingdom Hearts
updated
A theme I personally wasn't a big fan of when I first played this game back in 2018, since you are always forced to hear this theme when playing Endless instead of being able to choose your music. However, over time, I've grown to really like this theme, and now I feel weird playing any type of Endless mode in modern Puyo games without this playing in the background.
Music:
Main Menu - Dead by Daylight
Empire of Mor Ardain - Xenoblade Chronicles 2
Circuit - Mario Kart Double Dash
Funk Goes On - Yakuza
Droopy Likes Your Face - Minecraft Volume Alpha
4AM - Animal Crossing New Leaf
The IPL (GameCube menu) had two versions with notable differences between them: 1.0 and 1.1.
1.0 version of the GC IPL had pink cubes for the Game Play section, while 1.1 had purple cubes. 1.1 also cut out the silent parts from the original 1.0 menu music.
This seems to be the commonly used version on most GameCube consoles, as I have never found footage of the 1.0 version aside from emulators.

I have never been able to find footage of the 1.0 IPL, which makes me think it's quite rare. It was probably only featured in launch Japanese GameCube consoles.
UPDATE: I finally got a DOL-001 GameCube with IPL 1.0 and DOL-CPU-10 (The third motherboard revision). The serial number suggests it's among the first 700,000 units ever produced, making it quite an early production unit. If I had to guess, IPL 1.0 only shipped with the first 1 million GCs ever produced. For reference, the GameCube sold 22,000,000 units worldwide. Which would mean that less than 5% of GameCubes worldwide have IPL 1.0. Again, I'm just speculating, so take this with a grain of salt.

Such an underrated gem of a game, to be honest.
Some people might consider the lyrics a bit cheesy, but personally because of my love for this game and some really rough times I've been going through recently, they have really touched and resonated with me.
This song has honestly helped me when things have gotten bad recently, reminding me that no matter what happens, you have to believe in yourself if you really want to succeed.
Probably not the best and most consistent method out there but it's the one I use. Feel free to point out any corrections/improvements.

I can't listen to this theme and not feel nostalgic about the times of around 2019, when the game seemed to be going in such a good direction before suddenly going downhill after the release of Deathslinger.
Before the days of the new HUD, bad survivor animations, dedicated servers, maps reworked for worse, breakable walls, the battle pass, MMR, boon totems, and alarming influx of anti-loop killers. Back when events would even include fun side objectives to earn limited time cosmetics and include new menu themes, instead of just being extra bloodpoints, having to spend real money for the event cosmetics and recycle menu themes from events from past years.
It's really sad to see the direction a game I used to love so much has taken over time due to greed, ego, and no competition.
I had uploaded this before already, but there were some visual glitches present because I used a low bitrate by accident, which really bothered me. So I took the liberty of fixing it as well as adding the unused loop for the intro.
Stay funky, yo hustle, hustle"
One of the most iconic Sonic songs ever!
If you hear this in Act 3... then well, you really messed up. Try again and free Little Planet forever!
Lyrics:
(Why? Why? Why? This is your future)
You can't do anything
So don't even try to get some help
Don't do what Sonic does
Sonic, dead or alive, is mine
This was actually the track that inspired me to replay the game after almost a decade of hating it, and I found myself now loving it and probably becoming my favorite Sonic game of all time after playing it in its intended way of exploring and correctly using the time travel mechanics.
This game is amazing, and if you hate it like I used to, then try to replay it but not in the same way as any other 2D Sonic game. Time travel is NOT pointless, it's the entire point of the game.
"There's no point in going to the future!" Exactly. Future signs are an obstacle. Why do you think there are more Future signs in the present than Past signs? Your objective is going to the past and destroy the robot generators to save the future, hence why Future signs stand in your way in the present. Again, they're an obstacle, just like the enemies and hazards in the stages.
Lyrics (probably? who knows how accurate they are):
They all dread this place we’re in
Because of you, he's going through it
You gotta get through; you know the deal
But you'll not do; he's gonna get you
Get yourself ready for a fight
This time he's super
Yo, we're outta here
In my opinion, it is definitely better than the original implementation, but it is still a poor implementation overall, as it can lead to constant shifts in music if there's multiple visions in battle.
My own idea would be to let it interrupt the regular battle themes, but not the boss themes or the unique monster theme. Or just have a goddamn option to turn it off. Seriously, it baffles me that the Definitive Edition improved so much of the original game, but also left one of its poorest design decisions completely untouched.
By the way, this was a real pain to record, as I don't have a capture card and I had to use the Switch's video recording feature multiple times, hence the skips in the video.
A quick comparison between the normal generator repair speed and one with the penalty from the Begrimed Head Huntress add on.
Overall, it's a small difference (lower than I was expecting), but it could still make a difference in the long run, along with the Mangled status effect stacked on top.
Also, sorry for the bad video quality and the spinning camera. I wasn't really planning on uploading this at first.
My personal favorite variation of the menu theme, and my overall favorite killer menu theme as well (although the Stranger Things version is a close second).
I feel like the music in this game is seriously underappreciated. It's so good.
except for both doctor's and artist's chase themes lol
...and trickster, and billy, and pinhead, and hag... wow, the soundtrack has really gone downhill since I posted this, hasn't it?
Yes this is a joke run, and yes this is a real glitch, it can be performed on all platforms as far as I'm aware. Not sure who originally found it, I just watched it on ZFG's stream.
I might stream some more later, I might not. Depends on how I feel.
That was obviously a mistake from Monolith Soft though, and it was fixed with the soundtrack release of the game (it wasn't fixed in the 3DS version though, strangely). So here's an extension with the fixed loop. Enjoy!
Update: This was finally fixed in the Definitive Edition! Better late than never I suppose :)
While the one featured in the soundtrack and even Smash Ultimate have a higher quality than the original N64 version (for obvious reasons), they lack the reverb from the original, which makes them sound empty in comparison.
So here's the original version of Termina Field. It might be lower quality, but it's more accurate and sounds better, in my opinion.
Unfortunately, this was never officially released with the rest of the soundtrack.
This is probably my favorite song from the entire Halo series. It's such a beautiful, relaxing, and nostalgic piece of music that perfectly captures the atmosphere of the Tribute Room: A final farewell and a thank you from Bungie to the fans of the Halo series.
-Ultimate's replay conversion wasn't ass.
-It didn't skip random parts of the video.
-Didn't skip the countdown.
-You could upload directly to YouTube like in Smash 4.
-It at least saved the file to your album instead of some hidden folder on the SD.
-The rendered video opened on video editors. Seriously, I had to upload this unlisted first then download it again to be able to edit it.
-This was the Home Run Contest music instead of the awful one used since Brawl.
-I hadn't missed that back air.
-You had read the description so the title made sense.
-You didn't read the description so the last point made sense.
Not gonna lie, I think this sounds much better than the final version. That choir, man.
