They keep these tokens until their board is refreshed, after which they return them to the humans.- When the alien uses the abduction action, the scientist and its card are now returned to the display and the human players lose the points for having the scientist. It's when the track is completely full that you need to place it somewhere else.There's a Cleanup step I missed, which is to return population cubes from the graveyards to their respective production tracks.At the end of the Cleanup section I say that if it's the 8th round "you don't need to do any of that other stuff." I'm specifically referring to the Cleanup phase admin.
