F1 REVERSE
Red Bull EXPECTING Verstappens SHOCK DECISION?
updated
For the best part of two decades now, Red Bull have had a constant stream of incredible junior drivers. They have fuelled the sport with their support of junior drivers who have turned into some of the best drivers in modern F1. I’m talking about the likes of Sebastian Vettel, Max Verstappen, Daniel Ricciardo, Carlos Sainz, Pierre Gasly, and Alex Albon. However, they are encountering a recent problem. Their torrent of junior drivers is reducing to a trickle. None of their current F2 crop are flourishing in the way that those I just mentioned did. With their current F1 driver lineup looking so shaky, Red Bull need to act immediately to ensure they can keep a top tier driver lineup so they can compete for championships. Today, I’ll check out Red Bull’s imminent signing of one of F2’s brightest talents, what it means for their future, and why it might not be enough to save them from mediocrity, so don’t go anywhere.

This weekend Formula One will head to Singapore and the Marina Bay Circuit for the 18th race of the 2025 F1 season. With just seven races left this season, it’s looking like the battle for the drivers title is going to be between the two McLaren drivers of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris. However, following back to back wins for Max Verstappen, there is still a chance the reigning world champion has a part to play this season. However, Marina Bay has always been a bogey track for Red Bull and of all the tracks on the calendar, it is the only one that Verstappen hasn’t won at. But, there is a rule change for this Grand Prix that could make all the difference for Verstappen. Today, I’ll check out the surprising rule change for this weekend's race and whether it could help Verstappen get a first ever win at Marina Bay, so, don’t go anywhere.

With seven races left in the 2025 F1 season, there is still a surprising amount of work to be done in the driver market. Between Red Bull’s two teams, they have three seats that don’t have a contracted driver for next season. Alpine also have a space spare for a teammate for Pierre Gasly and at Mercedes, they currently have two drivers who aren’t tied down for 2026. Toto Wolff has talked a lot of big talk, promising the media that George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli are both going to be sticking around but so far, no pen has been put to paper. Despite all his promises that new contracts were coming for both his drivers over the summer break, neither have yet confirmed they will be with Mercedes next season. With so many seats still available, there is still a chance that either driver could leave the team, especially considering Toto Wolff’s treatment of George Russell. Today, I’ll check out the pain that Russell is putting Wolff through and why the British driver is right to be considering a move away, so, don’t go anywhere.

With seven races left in the 2025 F1 season, Red Bull’s focus has suddenly turned to a potential drivers championship charge after Max Verstappen’s back to back wins in Baku and Monza. As exciting as that is, they also need to be considering their plans for next season. Across two teams they have just one driver confirmed for next season as well as brand new regulations to contend with and the monumental challenge of producing a first ever F1 engine. Red Bull have bled their junior driver programme dry in recent years, the immediate options behind Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson, and Isack Hadjar are not yet ready which means the team might now need to look outside their own programme to refresh their lineups. They have set their eyes on a familiar face in hope of finding Verstappen a reliable teammate. Today, I’ll check out Red Bull’s pursuit of a rival driver and who we can expect to survive the end of this season, so don’t go anywhere.

On a weekend when Max Verstappen proved any doubters he might still have that he is one of the best drivers in the world, his agent sent a warning to Red Bull that they need to turn things around. An incredible race around the Nurburgring by Max Verstappen and team-mate Chris Lulham saw the two win round 9 of the Nurburgring Endurance series with 4 million viewers tuning in on Youtube. The four time F1 world champion is changing the Nurburgring and sim racing forever but in F1, his attempts to drag Red Bull out of the doldrums that they have driven into have been failing. With Max’s stock on the rise, can Red Bull hold on to him? Or is the Verstappen team already planning his exit? Well it certainly seems that way, and today, I’ll check it out, so don’t go anywhere.

Fernando Alonso is Formula One’s longest standing F1 driver. With a debut season back in 2001. Alonso quickly established himself as one of the sport's most talented drivers before claiming glory at Renault in 2005 and 2006 with his two world drivers championship titles. Since then, bad career choices, awful luck, and Ferrari have held him back from winning any more world championships but in 2026, that could all finally change. Alonso has found himself at Aston Martin, a team that appears to be on the up and poised to become one of F1’s top constructors. So why is he now deciding that it could be time to retire? Is Alonso really ready to give it all up just as he finds himself at a competitive team once again? Well, stick around to find out.

At the Azerbaijan Grand Prix, Lando Norris had the perfect opportunity to make a huge dent in Oscar Piastri’s championship lead but failed to grasp the gift the Australian had given him. Lando’s inability to make progress during Sunday’s race meant he only managed to make 6 points up on his teammate. Behind him, Max Verstappen capitalised on another bad weekend for McLaren by taking his second win in two races, securing his first back to back victories since the Canadian and Spanish Grand Prixs in June last year. Following Piastri’s mistake and Lando’s capitulation, McLaren have made an incredible comparison between Piastri and Schumacher but while the team consider which of their drivers offers the best chance of winning the driver’s championship, should they be worrying about what Max Verstappen is doing? Today, I’ll check it all out, so don’t go anywhere.

Christian Horner’s ignominious exit from Red Bull has finally been confirmed as the long standing team principal’s contract with the team he created is cut. After being removed as team principal at the start of July, the man who had taken Red Bull to eight drivers championship and six constructors championships was still on the books for Red Bull but after months of lawyer discussions, he has finally been cut free. The pay off that Red Bull had to give is massive and Horner could happily retire a very comfortable man but that isn’t what he is planning. Today, I’ll check out what Red Bull had to do to cut Horner loose and what the ex-Red Bull team principal has planned next, so don’t go anywhere.

With the Cadillac F1 team having confirmed their lineup for 2026, Valtteri Bottas and Sergio Perez are gearing up to return to the sport and pre-season testing in January next season. Cadillac will be joining the grid as F1’s 11th team and getting ready to compete in the sport is no easy feat. While they have assembled a team of experienced engineers, getting everyone to click at first time of asking and produce a competitive car is going to be all but impossible. Obviously, that doesn’t mean they can’t pull it off. With the brand new regulations, anyone could find something the rest of the grid hasn’t and surprise everyone with their performance. Still, there is a lot to prepare for and to get ready, Cadillac will be taking to the track this weekend for the very first time. Today, I’ll check out Checo’s return to F1 this weekend and what is going on with Cadillac’s preparations, so don't go anywhere.

When Lewis Hamilton joined Ferrari at the start of this season it was a dream come true for the seven time world champion. Having seen Schumacher dominate at the team as a child, Hamilton was part of a generation of drivers who grew up believing that success at Ferrari was the pinnacle of Formula One achievement. To become the undisputed most successful F1 driver of all time by winning his 8th world drivers title at Ferrari, and securing the Scudderia a first championship since 2008, would be incredible. However, things have not gone his way. He has struggled to adapt to the new car, being soundly beaten by his new team mate Charles Leclerc in qualifying and race performance. Now, he has opened up on just how bad the move to Ferrari has been for him and his retirement plans, so don’t go anywhere.

With the 2026 season fast approaching, there are still six seats on the F1 grid that need filling. Two are available at Mercedes, though Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell are expected to extend once Toto Wolff convinces one of them to just have a one year contract in case Max Verstappen comes calling. Alpine are still assessing their options for Pierre Gasly’s teammate but at Red Bull, they need to find a driver for three of their four seats. Yuki Tsunoda, Liam Lawson, and Isack Hadjar are all contracted until the end of this season. Obviously, Red Bull aren’t going to be getting rid of all of those drivers. The Red Bull pipeline of junior drivers might produce an incredible volume of talent at times but even they can’t bring in new drivers that quickly. Isack Hadjar has impressed while the two unfortunate drivers who have had to step foot in the Red Bull second seat have left a lot to be desired. It is a problem that they need to solve and the first movements toward a solution have now begun. Today, I’ll check out the driver that Red Bull are going to promote to F1 next season and what might happen to Yuki Tsunoda and Liam Lawson, so, don’t go anywhere.

Ferrari’s championship drought has been a painful experience for their fans. Since winning the constructors championship in 2008, the Scudderia have failed to win a championship. They have come agonisingly close at times but have sadly have always fallen short. Last season was one of their closest with just 25 points separating them from winning the team title. This season should have been their best chance yet considering how closely matched they were with McLaren at the end of 2024 but the team's car hasn’t even been close to matching that of McLaren. Fred Vasseur was brought into the team to turn them around and return them to winning ways but so far it’s been hard to actually see the results of his work. Now, he has warned Ferrari fans that his work is far from over. Today I’ll check out why Fred Vasseur is worried about Ferrari’s future and talk about the problems with their new engine, so don’t go anywhere.

The future of Red Bull Racing is exciting but also uncertain. With Ford coming on board next season to help Red Bull Power Trains produce their first ever engine, the team are now a proper factory team for the first time in their history. That in theory should be an advantage for Red Bull. With their own engine they now have complete control over every part of their car. However, building an F1 engine is no easy task. Just ask Alpine about how bad it can be to not have a competitive engine. Red Bull themselves suffered with a Renault engine which was well below par during the turbo hybrid engine. With their own engine, will Red Bull be the latest in a long list of engine suppliers to fail at the hardest task in F1? Well Red Bull’s own partner, Ford, have issued a stark warning about the future of the team and their engine project. Today, I’ll check out why Ford are so worried, why Verstappen is essential to their plans, and what happens next for the team, so, don’t go anywhere.

Next season, Formula One will see some of the biggest rule changes in the sports history. With a brand new engine will come brand new aerodynamic regulations and that poses a huge problem for the teams. It is a lot to handle all at one time and the competitive order could be completely upset next season. Of course, that sounds like a great thing for F1. New teams could rise to the top and mid season upgrades could have a huge impact as the teams find new development paths. However, there is potentially a darker side to this. It is something that the FIA have thought about and have tried to negate as much as possible but next season could be an embarrassment for the sport, and the FIA are worried. Today, I’ll check out the worrying interview with the FIA’s head of single seaters, Nikolas Tombazis, so don’t go anywhere.

Verstappen’s return to the top step of the podium at Monza ahead of McLaren rivals Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris looked to be a turning point for Red Bull this season as the team found something in their setup that just made their car click. Any chance of a challenge for the world drivers championship is still incredibly slim though. Instead, Verstappen is looking to F1’s future. He has long been a critic of the current cars and he’s now shared his opinion on what the next generation of car will be like ahead of his debut in another series that could be where his future lies. Today, I’ll check out what Verstappen thinks the future of F1 should be and talk about his debut race at the green hell, so, don’t go anywhere.

With Laurent Mekies now at the helm, Red Bull appear to be undergoing a bit of a resurgence. So much so that Christian Horner texted Martin Brundle during the Italian Grand Prix to congratulate the team on turning the car around. If they can keep it up, then Verstappen could provide some interesting competition to the McLaren drivers of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris over the remaining eight races. While he may not be in the running for the drivers championship, the current reigning champ could still play a large part in the fight between the two contenders. While things are looking good this year though, next season is going to be a brand new challenge for Red Bull, one they are not very hopeful of overcoming. Today, I’ll check out the huge task facing Red Bull with their new engine, and talk about F1’s faltering return to V8 engines, so don’t go anywhere.

Verstappen returned to winning ways with a dominant performance at Monza last weekend. It was a return to winning ways for Max after months of failing to compete with the McLaren’s of Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri. To make it even more impressive, he managed it with the biggest winning margin of the season. To say it was a shock would be an understatement. He hadn’t looked anywhere near the front runners during any of the free practice sessions for the weekend and many people were left asking where did the performance come from. Today, I’ll check out how Verstappen upset Ferrari and McLaren to take a historic victory at Monza, so don’t go anywhere.

It was a weekend of records for Max Verstappen as he turned back the clock two years to remind us all of just how good he and Red Bull can be. He set a new lap record at Monza, he lapped so quickly on Sunday that the race was the fastest ever F1 race, his win returned him to his 50% win rate in the ground effect era, all of which he did while securing the largest winning margin of the season. It was certainly a surprise from Red Bull but at a track where McLaren’s big advantage was nullified, Red Bull just nailed Max’s setup. However, Verstappen’s victory was overshadowed by McLaren’s team orders in the closing laps of the race. Today, I’ll check out McLaren’s pitstop mistake, why it was a dangerous decision for the team, and why they are lucky they pulled it on Oscar Piastri, not someone else, so don’t go anywhere.

Max Verstappen has not been happy at Red Bull this season. Despite some early race wins and podiums, as the teams around them have brought upgrades, they have stagnated. Verstappen’s two podiums in the last eight races isn’t up to the incredibly high standards Red Bull have set in recent years but that happens. Performance comes and goes in F1, what Verstappen can’t accept is how his team's performance compares to the apparent Red Bull B team, the Racing Bulls. He’s called out his team, telling them that what happened in Zandvoort is completely unacceptable. Today, I’ll check out what he had to say, whether he thinks he would do better in a Racing Bull, and what Isack Hadjar had to say about his future at Red Bull Racing, so, don’t go anywhere.

Next season will see the Cadillac F1 team take to the grid for the first time as F1’s brand new 11th team. They arrive with a fan favourite lineup of Sergio Perez and Valtteri Bottas, both bringing their vast experience and skills to the team to try and make their first season go as smoothly as possible. On paper, it looks like an incredible lineup for the fledgling team, however, Cadillac are an American team, with actual development work happening in the US. They want to lean into that, they want to become America’s team, and to do that, they need an American driver. New team boss Graeme Lowdon has always said that they would only hire a driver on merit, even if they were American and at the moment, there isn’t an American driver who would be expected to outperform Bottas and Perez in F1. So, Cadillac is going to create one. Today, I’ll check out Cadillac’s plan to create an American F1 driver and how it is going to instantly put the pressure on Perez and Bottas, so don’t go anywhere.

The ground effect era was meant to be Red Bull’s to dominate. After shrugging off their early rivals Ferrari in 2022, they went on to put together the most dominant season in F1 history in 2023. From there, it really should have been impossible for them to lose. They were so much stronger than the rest of the field but once head designer Adrian Newey left, the team went down a development route that added more and more instability until the car was undriveable for anyone but Verstappen. They went from favourites to win every race to having to be perfect to make it to the top five. Verstappen has been very negative about the current iteration of his car, the RB21, but now, he has hit Red Bull with some brutal honesty about his competitive chances at the team. Today, I’ll check out why Verstappen thinks he will never win another championship, why one decision made by Christian Horner could be the reason for it…..

Mercedes Dutch Grand Prix was as action packed as it gets. Both Andrea Kimi Antonelli and George Russell were involved in controversial incidents with Ferrari rival Charles Leclerc as their ex driver Lewis Hamilton had a run in with the wall on the outside of turn three. In the battle for 2nd place in the constructors championship, it was almost the perfect weekend for Mercedes, if you ignore Antonelli’s fifteen seconds worth of time penalties that were applied post race. Despite the young Italian’s penalties, Toto Wolff couldn’t be prouder of how he ended Leclerc’s race and he has also mocked the fading Red Bull team, declaring their chances of success in the future as basically zero. Today, I’ll check all that out, so don’t go anywhere.

As a Red Bull Racing driver, you are always on the edge of losing your job, unless your name is Max Verstappen of course. Red Bull’s never ending search for the Mark Webber to their Max Verstappen has continued this season with first Liam Lawson and now Yuki Tsunoda attempting to prove themselves capable. While Tsunoda returned to the points for the first time in eight races, he still sits 19th in the drivers championship, ahead of only the pointless Alpine drivers, Jack Doohan and Franco Colapinto. While Tsunoda returning to the points would normally make it a good weekend for the Japanese driver, a young Frenchman at the Racing Bulls piled the pressure onto Yuki. Red Bull are fed up with having only one point scoring driver and the pressure is now on Yuki. Today, I’ll check out Isack Hadjar’s first ever podium, what Red Bull had to say about it, and what the deadline is they have given Tsunoda to perform, so don’t go anywhere.

Cadillac’s much anticipated arrival onto the F1 grid next season is getting closer and closer but until now, the team’s driver lineup was a mystery. There has been plenty of speculation over who they might sign with rumours of Mick Schumacher, Sergio Perez, Valtteri Bottas, Felipe Drugovich, and others doing the rounds for months now. It isn’t just the team’s driver lineup that is a bit of a mystery, no one is quite sure how good they will be either. Their engine project is a few years away yet and as a brand new constructor building their first ever car, expectations are low but with brand new regulations starting next season, they could be a surprise package. Cadillac appears to have finally made a decision on who is going to be driving their first ever car and today, I’ll check it out, so don’t go anywhere.

Red Bull’s driver situation this season has been a big problem. Max Verstappen has done his best in a car that is clearly not up to the standards Red Bull set in 2023 but his teammates have found it impossible to replicate his performances. Yuki Tsunoda did manage to secure some points early on but since his last points finish in his fifth race for Red Bull, he has had an average finishing position of 15th. That clearly isn’t good enough for a top team but who knows at this point how much of that is Yuki’s fault and how much of it is Red Bull’s car just being really bad and Max Verstappen massively outperforming it. What Tsunoda’s disappointing results have done is put Liam Lawson’s performances into some perspective. The Kiwi driver was demoted by Red Bull after just two races and has now spoken out about how badly he was treated by the team. Today, I’ll check that out and contrast it with Mercedes handling of Andrea Kimi Antonelli, so don’t go anywhere.

2026 is going to be a massive season for Formula One. The teams are tasked with completely overhauling their cars with brand new engines and aerodynamics, potentially completely upsetting the established order in the sport, allowing any team to rise to the top. These new regulations have been met with plenty of scepticism and some people have outright declared that they shouldn’t even be allowed to change next season. The teams have given plenty of reasons that they don’t think they will work and now the FIA is starting to worry that they might have made a mistake. Today I’ll check out the evolving rules for next season as the FIA try to stop F1 embarrassing itself and why some people think they shouldn’t even be changing, so, don’t go anywhere.

Since arriving at Ferrari at the start of the season, Lewis Hamilton has had a bumpy ride, and I’m not talking about the plank wear problems the team have. The seven time world champion has struggled to get to grips with his new car. So badly has he been performing that after the Hungarian Grand Prix, he boldly declared that Ferrari should replace him with a different driver. That 12th place finish at the Hungaroring was the low point of the season for Hamilton. After being knocked out in Q2, he failed to make any forward progress in the race despite battling against a rookie in a Racing Bull. While many predicted Hamilton might struggle to adapt to his new car this season, the extent of his struggles have been worse than many expected. Now though, Ferrari have admitted that it is their mistakes which have made it so difficult for Hamilton to adapt. Today I’ll tell you how Fred Vasseur has admitted that Hamilton’s struggles are the fault of the team and talk about what is stopping Ferrari from winning a world championship at the moment, so don’t go anywhere.

Red Bull Racing have now spent a little over a month working and racing without Christian Horner at their helm. It has been a new challenge for the team. Horner had been the longest standing team principal in the sport, running Red Bull’s F1 team since they joined the grid in 2005. His removal as team principal was brutal and abrupt but not unwarranted. However, while Red Bull removed him as team principal, Horner was still a huge part of Red Bull Racing. Now though, the final tie has been cut and Horner needs to turn his attention to the future. Today, I’ll check out how Red Bull have finally removed Horner from their organisation and talk about the perfect place for him in Formula One, so don’t go anywhere.

For F1 fans who remember the 2014 season, I’m sure you still have nightmares about having to watch Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg beat the entire field by 20 seconds or more pretty much every race. At round five in Spain, they beat the entire field by 49 seconds. They had a few off weeks here and there but that was the reality of the first season of the turbo hybrid era. That season was built on an engine that was in its own class in terms of power output. They rode that advantage for the next seven seasons until Red Bull finally managed to close the gap in 2021. Ferrari came close toward the end of the 2010’s but it required them to do some less than legal fuel flow things to match up to Mercedes engine power. It is a world that F1 does not want to revisit and they will do anything they can to stop it, and today, I’ll be checking it out, so don’t go anywhere.

With the F1 world enjoying its summer shutdown, most of the current grid will be on a beach somewhere and engineers will be taking the chance to see their families, but the powers that run some of the teams will be very busy, specifically those who don’t have a full driver lineup for next season. The summer break is usually the time when those gaps in the rosters start getting finalised and for a few teams, they have a lot of work to do. Mercedes, despite having two drivers that they have now decided they want to keep, still have no one signed for next season. Cadillac, with a first ever season in F1 beginning in just six months, wants to get some drivers signed so they can start work in their simulators. Both of them will be very keen to get their work done during the summer break and one team has made the first move. Today, I’ll check out Checo’s return to Formula One and fill you in on George Russell’s doubts about a new Mercedes contract so don’t go anywhere.

McLaren have been by far the best team on the grid this season. They have dominated the podium, taking two of the three spots in 11 of the 14 races so far this season. Between Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, they have taken the top spot at 11 of the 14 races as well. It is reminiscent of 2023 when Red Bull won all but one race but the difference is that McLaren’s season has kind of come out of nowhere. When Red Bull went on a rampage, they had been the out and out best team during the previous season, taking both titles as well. Last year though, McLaren were in a close competition with Ferrari and Verstappen for race wins. Their winter development has astonished the rest of the grid but what has been most surprising is that no one has been able to work out how it has happened. Now, McLaren are in the enviable position of having both drivers fighting each other for the drivers title. There has been a lot of talk about how the team will handle the two after the summer break and McLaren have revealed exactly what they will do to ensure that both drivers stay happy, even when one of them loses the drivers championship. Verstappen has also identified exactly what it is that McLaren have done which has resulted in them being borderline unbeatable. Today, I’ll check it all out, so don’t go anywhere.

Ferrari’s 2025 season has been a big disappointment so far. They might be second in the constructors championship but 5th and 6th in the drivers championship is not where they want to be considering how close they were to current leaders McLaren at the end of 2024. While the Papaya team have made massive gains in the off season, the Scuderia have failed to keep pace and as a result are yet to record a race win. What has made it worse is the fact that while Leclerc has secured five podiums so far, Hamilton has none. Despite their struggles, Ferrari are setting some lofty goals for the second half of the season, even if it does have a negative impact on their 2026 season. Ex-Ferrari driver Carlos Sainz has also weighed in on Lewis Hamilton’s struggles against Leclerc, comparing them to his own against Alex Albon and today, I’ll be checking it all out, so don’t go anywhere.

At the Hungarian Grand Prix, George Russell once again secured a podium finish despite managing to almost completely avoid the TV coverage, an odd skill that he has been perfecting over the past year. His 3rd place finish at the Hungaroring earned him a sixth trip to the podium for the season, putting him one podium ahead of Verstappen. Antonelli also managed to make his way back into the points with a 10th place finish but that won’t do much to quiet the theorists claiming that Toto Wolff may have slightly overhyped the Italian youngster. That result came on the back of Mercedes downgrading their car, something that doesn’t normally cause a performance increase. Despite the positive result, Toto Wolff was furious at his team for their failure. Today, I’ll talk about Mercedes' faltering development and discuss why Mercedes are lucky to have George Russell, so don’t go anywhere.

It has been a tough season for the Alpine F1 team. Pierre Gasly has been doing his best to try and keep the team off the bottom of the constructors championship but his 20 points aren’t enough. What the team needs is a second driver to be scoring points but after Jack Doohan failed over the first six races, Franco Colapinto has had a go for eight races but has also failed to score. It is a problem for Alpine and one which they will almost definitely look to fix for next season, if not sooner. With Colapinto on a race by race contract, his future at Alpine is never safe and a massive crash during a private Alpine test session this week has made his position more at risk than ever before. Today, I’ll tell you what happened at the Hungaroring on Wednesday, what the future lineup of Alpine could look like, and where Alpine go from here, so don’t go anywhere.

While F1’s TV cameras focussed on the evolving title battle at the front of the Hungarian Grand Prix, further back, there was a lot going on. The Red Bull car was brutally exposed with Liam Lawson finishing ahead of Max Verstappen in a Racing Bull. Further forward in 6th place was Gabriel Bortoleto whose third points finish in four races sent his growing reputation to the moon. Either side of him were the Aston Martins of Fernando Alonso and Lance Stroll. For so much of the 2025 F1 season, Aston Martin have been dead in the water with no chance of securing points finishes. Yet over the past few races, things have been changing. Alonso has six points finishes in seven races, Stroll has been in the points for two of the last three, and in Hungary they had their best performance all season, something that genuinely concerned Fernando Alonso. Today, I’ll talk about why Alonso is worried about how well he performed in Hungary, why the team are boycotting Sky Sports, and the legal battle they just won against Ferrari, so don’t go anywhere.

Lando Norris fought back at the Hungarian Grand Prix to make a vital dent in Oscar Piastri’s championship lead as F1 heads into the three week summer break. If Oscar had won, Lando would have spent three weeks on a beach somewhere, thinking about a 23 point deficit but instead, he can sleep comfortably knowing it is only a 9 point gap to his teammate. On Sunday, Lando Norris managed to pull off a fantastic one stop race, the theoretically slower strategy, to go from 5th position to a race win. Oscar Piastri didn’t make it easy for him though. The young Australian driver applied incredible pressure on Lando late race and almost ended both of their grand prix with a huge send just minutes from the end of the race, something that definitely wouldn’t have followed McLaren’s papaya rules. After his hard fought win, Lando said something about Oscar Piastri that was a big shock and today, I’ll check it out as well as what McLaren have to say about Oscar’s desperate late race dive, so don’t go anywhere.

As Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri duelled it out on track in search of the upper hand in F1’s 2025 title battle, behind them, a furious Charles Leclerc vented at his team as another race fell to pieces. An almost unbelievable pole position for Leclerc fell to pieces as the Monegasque driver, who now has an appalling pole position conversion rate of 1 win in his last 16 poles, vented at his team for some secretive change that Ferrari made to his car mid race. Further back, Lewis Hamilton was struggling in his battle against midfield teams and rookie drivers to try and improve on his 12th place qualifying position. It was a disastrous weekend for the Scudderia and while the cause of it all remained a secret during the race, the circumstances surrounding Hamilton’s lack of pace and Leclerc’s collapse from first place reveals what could have been an even worse weekend for Ferrari. Today I’ll check out Hamilton’s race weekend and talk about how Leclerc came incredibly close to being disqualified in Hungary, so, don’t go anywhere.

It was three years ago, at the Hungarian Grand Prix, that Max Verstappen went from tenth on the grid to win the race with a 360 spin thrown in for good measure. It was an incredible display from the now four time world champion driving a Red Bull that was heading toward the peak of its powers. Three years later and the odds on Max Verstappen going from tenth on the grid to win in Hungary this weekend, with or without a 360 spin, are as good as nothing. Red Bull's decline in form and the problems that have surrounded the team over the past 18 months meant that Max’s future at the team was in question with Mercedes very keen to hire the man who many perceive to be the best driver in the sport. That transfer has finally broken down and Verstappen has given an incredible statement about Mercedes' part in it. Today, I’ll check it all out so don’t go anywhere.

Aston Martin the car maker has sent shockwaves through the sport with the announcement that they will be selling Aston Martin the F1 team. It might be a surprising announcement for F1 fans but for anyone who has half an ear to the motor industry, they will know that Aston Martin the car maker has been in increasing trouble for years now. The brand is desperate for cash and the F1 team is an expense they can no longer afford. This doesn’t stop the team's march toward success next season though. The team have set their sights on dominating the new regulations and this sale doesn’t change anything. 2026 will be a monumental year for Formula One and not just because of the new technical regulations. Formula One will return to having eleven teams in the pitlane and twenty two drivers on the grid with the addition of the Audi F1 team. Currently running under the name Stake F1 Team Kick Sauber, Audi will finalise their buyout of Sauber to take complete control of the team, including its name, at the end of this season. Having been in the sport since 1993, it is the end of an era seeing Sauber bow out of F1 but the arrival of Audi is incredibly exciting as well. There is a lot of speculation surrounding the team. Are they going to be competitive? How is their engine going to perform? And what is the team going to be called? Well we have a pretty good idea of the answer to one of those questions now, and today I’ll talk about them all, so don’t go anywhere.

It was only a few short years ago that Mercedes were the absolute pinnacle of Formula One. They dominated the sport in unprecedented fashion from 2014 till 2021 and even with the aerodynamic regulations changing in 2022, they were expected to carry on as front runners in the sport. While they remained capable of a podium finish when a track or conditions suited them, their performance in the ground effect era has been underwhelming. This season, things have gotten even worse. Their customers McLaren have become the dominant force in the sport, finding innovation and performance late into the regulations, overthrowing Red Bull and setting themselves up for a first double championship since 1998. To see a customer team beat a factory team in such commanding fashion is unheard of in F1 and it is making Mercedes panic. On top of that, their drivers are struggling to really make an impact and find some consistency. Today, I’ll check out the emergency meetings happening at Mercedes and what's going wrong with Antonelli, so don’t go anywhere.

Last weekend's Belgian Grand Prix saw the continuation of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris’ title battle with the Australian driver reasserting his position at the top of the drivers championship and applying more pressure onto his teammate. It was the quintessential race at Spa Francorchamps with some very heavy rain on the Sunday morning leading to the cancellation of the F3 race and delaying the start of the F1 race by 90 minutes. During the ground effect era, the FIA have become more and more cautious with wet weather and with their decisions at the Belgian Grand Prix, it seems like the F1 world is finally fed up. Wet races have historically created an incredible spectacle for the sport but in Belgium last weekend, we were denied one. Did the FIA make a mistake? Well today I’ll check out what is being said, why Max Verstappen was furious and why Lewis Hamilton will have been gutted, so don’t go anywhere.

Over the past 20ish years, Ferrari have gone from being one of the best teams in Formula One to being perennial also rans. The Scudderia have attracted the biggest names in Formula One to drive their cars but despite their incredible skills, none have been able to lead the Italian team to a world championship title. Lewis Hamilton is the latest world championship winning driver to head to Ferrari in hope of replicating the success of Michael Schumacher. However, Hamilton has promised that this time it will be different. He has put himself ahead of Alonso and Vettel and plans to do things differently. This season’s driver market was looking very quiet until Max Verstappen decided that he wasn’t 100% sure he wanted to stay at Red Bull beyond the end of this season. With the team's performance in a worrying decline and staff leaving like rats from a sinking ship, Verstappen was right to be worried. He was very public about saying he wasn’t sure if he would be with Red Bull in 2026 and Mercedes boss Toto Wolff has also been very keen to let everyone know that it is his team that Verstappen was potentially moving to. With both parties seeming to gravitate toward each other, it was almost destined to happen. Wolff has finally given a statement which reveals the future of the Mercedes lineup and today I’ll check it out as well as talking about what the future now holds for both parties, so don’t go anywhere.

The past year of Carlos Sainz’s career has been crazy. He has gone from battling it out with Charles Leclerc for race wins at Ferrari to getting beat 4 to 1 by Alex Albon at Williams. It’s hardly been a fall from grace from the Spaniard, who many agree is still a fantastic driver. It has been more of an eye opener for what Alex Albon has to offer when given the time and respect that Red Bull don’t always want to offer their drivers. Either way, it hasn’t been an easy time for Sainz but up until now he has sucked it up and got on with the job at hand. That was until a recent interview dropped two bombshells on Ferrari and Red Bull, exposing just how poorly Sainz has been treated over the past year and today I’ll check it all out, so don’t go anywhere.

Christian Horner's sacking from Red Bull happened two weeks ago now, just after the Silverstone Grand Prix when there was a big break in the F1 calendar. The gap between races will have given his replacement Laurent Mekies a chance to settle into the team and get a grasp on what is happening before this weekend's Belgian Grand Prix at Spa. It has also given the rest of the grid a chance to consider what this means for them. In particular, the top three teams of Ferrari, Mercedes, and McLaren are pretty happy that with Horner gone, Red Bull should be destabilised slightly, potentially securing their positions for the rest of the season. Mercedes and McLaren both have a spiky history with Red Bull and Christian Horner and Zak Brown has wasted no time in getting a boot in while Horner is down. Today, I’ll check out the shocking comments that the McLaren team have made about Horner in the lead up to the Belgian Grand Prix, so don’t go anywhere.

The driver market this season is looking surprisingly lively considering how much movement happened last year. A lot of the talk this season is centred around Max Verstappen, a potential move to Mercedes, and the series of events that could be triggered by that. What happens to Russell or Antonelli at that point? What do Red Bull do without a top tier driver for 2026? They are questions that will need to be answered if the Dutchman does leave but that is all ifs and buts, what we do know is that Cadillac needs two drivers. So far, the team have kept their thoughts quiet on who they might hire. There have been rumours of Perez and Bottas, with the latter taking to social media to tease at a move to the team, but nothing has happened so far. However, Cadillac team principal Graeme Lowdon has now gone on record with their short list of drivers and one of his favourites for a seat is a huge shock, and today, I’ll check it out, so don’t go anywhere.

Ferrari haven’t delivered on the potential they have shown this season. After ending 2024 in the fight for a constructors championship title, they were expected to hit the ground running this season but instead they have been well off the pace of the McLaren pair. Lewis Hamilton has less than half the points of Oscar Piastri and Lando Norris, and Charles Leclerc is only fairing slightly better. They might be second in the constructors standings but any hopes of a first title since 2008 are well and truly finished. That doesn’t mean Ferrari are giving up on this season though. At the Belgian Grand Prix later this month they will finally have a massive upgrade which could completely change the competitive order this season. Today, I’ll check out the final throw of the dice from Ferrari and talk about why Lewis Hamilton is demanding Ferrari do better next season and how he thinks he can help them, so don’t go anywhere.

As the dust begins to settle on the end of Christian Horner’s time at the top with Red Bull Racing the secrets of his final days are starting to leak out. Talk of intense arguments within the team and frustrated staff members have leaked out. For Horner, it is all behind him now. Twenty years of his life were ripped away with no warning in just one meeting. However, with the Red Bull door slammed shut behind him, another has potentially opened. There has always been one thing that Christian Horner has wanted but could never have. Something that Red Bull would never have allowed to happen but that he could now go and get. Today, I’ll check out Christian Horner’s links to Alpine and why the team could provide him everything that Red Bull never could, so don’t go anywhere.

With an 11th team joining the F1 grid in 2026, there are more seats than ever available for drivers who might not have made the cut for this season. Sat on the sidelines are some incredible talents with serious experience as F1 drivers and those with spaces for next year have an unbelievable selection of drivers to choose from. One of the teams with some driver issues that need resolving for next season is Alpine. No one doubts the quality of Pierre Gasly. Despite driving for this season's back markers, he has still pulled off a best finish of 6th and sits 13th in the drivers championship. On the other side of the garage Alpine has a problem. Colapinto has looked more like the driver who appeared in Sao Paulo last season than the one from Baku. Switching back to Jack Doohan would be unlikely to improve things either. Alpine’s best option is to look outside the organisation for next season, and Valtteri Bottas is someone who has caught their attention. But is Pierre Gasly happy about the move? And will it be as simple as just offering him a contract? Well, today, I’ll check it all out, so don’t go anywhere.
