RevolutionThis is an arrangement of Carnival Night Act 1 from Sonic 3 (Nov 3, 1993 prototype) in a style that I think is more fitting for Sonic Origins. While V1 sounded great, I thought it sounded little messy, too. So I decided to polish it even more with better balancing, mixing, disinfectant ‒ that sort of thing. Needless to say, I feel like it sounds better than V1, in my opinion. Hopefully, it sounds good enough to satisfy now.
Although, I can't help but find this amusing. Not because I essentially had to clean up my clean-up, but because I thought my Turquoise Hill arrangement would be the first to get a V2. Oh, well. Maybe I'll have something else in store along with it. One day...

Although Amy technically isn't a playable character in the game and probably won't ever be, that doesn't deter from the fact that this fan game is awesome, and I highly recommend that you check it out! Now, we can rest, knowing that the Sonic Drift 2/SRB2 gang is finally complete.

I considered the original to be a huge waste, not only because it had a nearly perfect structure for a proper Super Sonic theme, but because of what kind of Super Sonic theme we actually got. I chose this theme because it sounded the most like a Sonic 3 bonus stage theme to me, so it wouldn't be too out of place for the New Blue Spheres screen. Plus, the area that this song was used for is the Sonic 1 Special Stage, so it technically applies here, right?

This only happens in MMZ 1 for no reason. So, I basically just recorded both versions with an emulator and made them transition seamlessly with a custom bridge (made by looping the intro and muting parts of its DAC).
It's important to know that unlike the majority of the music on my channel, I didn't actually recreate or arrange this track, but mixed it. This is also the first time I've done something like this.

Could you imagine if Sonic 3's competition stages were full-scale levels? This would probably be the result.
This mine is home to rubble, crystals and gemstones of plenty, but not consisting of the magical MacGuffins you seek. But danger is lurking around every turn. It's getting more and more difficult to navigate through the waterholes and dimly-lit tunnels. And those vertical-looping shafts last for so long, you'd think you were there for ages. Some might even say that this mine is...
Infinite. What? You actually thought I'd say "end--" You actually did.
Ahem. Moving on... Then, halfway through the mine, you'd get in another cart that begins to speed down the rails. The rails curve up at its end, and you shoot off into the air, revealing a massive opening in the cavern's roof, and the magnificent sunset beyond it. Your one peek at the outside world before you sink back down into the mines, and your only motivation to escape this boundless cavern — to see the sun once more.
Now, with this goal in mind, you must keep on moving ahead to escape from the mine. With some luck, you'll make it through...
What do you mean, that's from--? Err... never mind.

I decided to give my own example on what I thought a finished version would sound like for the final version of Sonic 3. I even combined the proto version with the S&K Collection and Sonic 3 Complete versions, so together, it sounds pretty neat.
Happy 31st anniversary, Sonic! This one's for you! Never stop running!

Could you imagine if Sonic 3's competition stages were full-scale levels? This would probably be the result.
Desert Palace makes a mysterious turn as this arrangement is supposed to lean more into the "palace" part. During late-afternoon hours, Sonic & Tails make their way through an oasis of sorts before entering a cold, dark, and grainy palace. This palace is home to tricky sands traps and falling debris everywhere, but isn't anywhere near as hard to navigate as Sandopolis.

I should also mention that this is my first making chiptune music ever, using a tracker, no less, and it was a lot of fun! I found that Turquoise Hill sounded a lot more like an Act 2 version of itself rather than an Act 1. Though the original game doesn't have separate act themes, I took a lot of inspiration from Sonic 2, Sonic Mania, and the SAGE 2018 remake, as well as putting my own spin on it to really give it that "Act 2" flair.
