Then came the strat that was already known to be faster in the L+R TAS that for some reason nobody tried until Zen came along and tied the others. This TAS acheives 0x9150 (optimally it's a little faster but it doesn't matter because of darG anyway) and the only reason it saves is because we can use a more favourable powerup rule without losing time on the mushroom grab.

Encoded by me.[TAS] Super Bald Bros. 2 Any% by slither in 6:01.970 (6:06.297 TAS Timing)slither2022-02-13 | This TAS aims to complete the Super Bald Bros. 2, an SMB1 ROM Hack by MatyMak as fast as possible. It improves SMBistic's TAS by 126 frames (6 framerules), with a 2 framerule improvement in 2-2 and one framerule improvements in 1-4, 2-3, 2-4, and 3-3. Due to the RNG-heavy nature of 3-4, there is a 3 framerule delay at the start, and the TAS is therefore optimized for RTA timing. TAS Timing minus the delay is 6:05.248.
Notable levels: 1-1: The flagpole glitch is only for swag, as it's actually ~12 frames slower (doesn't lose a framerule). It's surprisingly precise due to needing near perfect subspeed. 1-4: The ceiling clip is literally free, and I'm surprised SMBistic didn't find it. 2-2: SMBistic did some clips that were unnecessary, and actually slower than the intended route. 3-2: The FFPG took me a surprisingly long time to TAS, as I had to notice going slower eariler was actually faster because you wanted to load the goombas as late as possible while still being able to bop the goomba at a high framerule timer value. SMBistic lost time to swag in 2-3, 2-4, and 3-3.

The romhack also patches many wallclips and includes different textures. Since the P-Speed implementation is different than that of SMB3, stutter-stepping cannot be performed.

It improves electricpants's TAS (youtu.be/ovPd957Br0c) by 92 frames, by skipping the wait for the piranha plant in the second room of 4-4, along with slight optimizations in almost every level. The playback time is actually 10 frames slower, as this is played on a later version of the hack, which moves the 1-3 warp pipe to the right by a significant amount.
