Bikepacking Castles & Coastline with a Special Guest! hippyswift 2022-03-23 | UK Bikepacking Route with a Special Guest, Simon, a bloke in the woods. We had an amazing time cycling & Wild Camping around the UK Coastline & Castles Bikepacking Route. This route takes us through some of the most Beautiful & Historic places in the United Kingdom. Starting near Ipswich, we follow the river Deben into Woodbridge where we scoff down some fish & chips. After lunch we set off toward Halesworth via quiet roads & even stop off at Framlingham Castle for a quick look and a cheeky pint. after a 35 mile ride to Halesworth, Simon & I setup camp in an old Bushcraft Camp I created over 10 years ago. Day two we headed East towards the ancient lost City of Dunwich, passing through Southwold along the way. After a short break we set off to Orford Castle, only stopping to rest at another historic location, Leiston Abby, which still has its main walls remaining & has some beautiful architecture. I got AERO on a TITANIUM ROAD BIKE & my Brakes FAILED! hippyswift 2022-01-22 | Today I got Aerodynamic & my Disc Brakes FAILED!Riding my Van Nicholas Ventus 15 miles to Evans cycles, I planned to get my Road Bike disc brakes bleed. since my recent vehicle collision, the front brake has been awfully underpowered. Unfortunately, the mechanic wasn't there on Thursday so I took another day off work to go back on Friday. After the bleed it felt ok in the shop, but when I tested the brakes on the road not much happened. I think the front brake has about 1/4 the power it should & after the bleed I thought it should have been cured. Late night BIKE CAMPING | Titanium Bicycle | Snugpak Ionosphere Tent hippyswift 2020-11-07 | A few weeks back I grabbed my Snugpk Ionosphere tent & headed out on my Titanium mountain bike for a spot of late night bike camping (Bikepacking) before work the next day, yes I was late ;) my sleep system consisted of a snugpak special forces 1 sleeping bag & Travelite sleeping mat with a snugpak ionosphere 1 man tent as the main shelter, a lightweight tent that has done me proud for over 2 years & still going strong (except large burn hole). This combination of gear is ideal for most weather conditions here in the UK. All views are my own opinion & are not effected by outside sources. UK Bikepacking - The Peddars Way Ancient Road hippyswift 2020-10-12 | This week we travel along THE PEDDARS WAY, This is an ideal UK BIKEPACKING & CAMPING Route for Begginer or Professional alike. At just over 54 miles in long, this ancient roman road now comprises of ancient woodland, Sandy tracks & plenty of Green lanes with 80% of the route being off-road. Mountain Bikes are highly reccomended but not essential, I was riding a Van Nicholas Revelstoke 27.5 + equiped with hydrolic disc breaks & Sram Eagle XX1 groupset 32 - 10/42 & 2.8inch tires.
