RyTownYes hello. Simple explanation. Mountaintop sticky grenades allow me to enter the room and open the door without Lethal needing to shoot the door. You have just enough time to pick up the symbols and make it out before the door closes (for a second time; the sticky grenade detonates, opening the door for a second time). Lethal is solo stunning the boss, it's not too bad. You jump over the boss and shoot his head and while you're moving over him you shoot the back.
DPS is double slug + anarchy with lunafaction boots. We swap to snipers for the top floor. I had Sleeper in my back pocket just in case we had the ammo.

So enjoy this speedrun with everyone's POV.
This is a nightfall of the GM or Grandmaster variety, done with 3 titans all running hammers because they are very lit and very cool. This nightfall happens to be called Warden of Nothing. The current season is Season of the Haunted. Solar 3.0
ok goodbyeIs Solar (3.0) Titan bad now?RyTown2022-05-27 | Yes hello, I saw a few comments on my previous video discussing the shortcomings of Titan. As such, I decided to give it some playtime to see what the issue was. Maybe I play Titan differently than others, but the throwing hammer build is better than ever now that you can spawn sunspots.
This build is essentially identical to previous hammer builds, with the additions being the added benefit of radiance, increased healing and a better super (I didn't find middle tree solar's super to be all that good).
Let me know your thoughts on Titan Solar 3.0.
Goodbye.Solar 3.0 is INSANE with Hunter!RyTown2022-05-25 | Solar 3.0 has arrived and while Warlock didn't feel the best, Hunter has been a lot of fun. Dodge, get weapon buff. Throw melee, get more damage buff. Burning enemies give dodge back, dodge again. MORE DAMAGE BUFF.

The keys here as I mention in the intro are: take your time. Time is almost always the answer when doing a challenge that doesn't specifically have a time restriction. Clear enemies every chance you get, don't think "oh, I can beat this wave to the engrams", that's a great way to take just a "little" too much damage and one single stray boss shot and you're dead.
Another key mechanic to be aware of is: every 10 engrams you pick up you get your super back. Use that to your advantage.
Fusions are still king in this sandbox, I've heard sleeper is good but it doesn't seem so much better that it makes up for the loss of something like witherhoard.
That's all I got. Later.

Warlocks are trying to get their super back ASAP while the Hunter is working in finishers and tether when possible. A lot of this run hinges on the success of the tank room, so make that your prioritization when running this strike. Understand when things spawn, how they spawn and what killing/not killing certain things does for your positioning.
General Tips:
1st Unstoppable Champion can be skipped (although in GMs he does seem to wander up so be careful).
You can have someone sparrow through double doors (where the phalanx / two legionaires spawn) and get into tank room early to setup (we don't do this here but it can be helpful).
The balls are on a timer, so it might be best to pick it up (to spawn the enemies) and then drop it / head over and deal with those spawns, and then go back to pick up the orb and deposit. Reduces pressure to do everything all at once.
For Boss phases, try to have someone (or 2) setup in the generator field ready to break the generator. This reduces the panic of trying to dodge the meatballs.
That's all I got, enjoy!

This a grandmaster nightfall speedrun of the strike proving grounds during season of the lostSolo Grandmaster Nightfall: Devils Lair - WarlockRyTown2021-11-04 | Back this week with a makeup solo GM video for you. Last week I was just a little bit busy and never had a chance to solo the corrupted. On top of that, our Sunday speed session didn't yield the result I was comfortable uploading. By the time we got a decent time Monday night it was a little too late to upload to have any real meaning for people. I'll upload it once all GMs are available.
On to Devil's Lair. As I mention in the intro, this is a pretty accessible solo gm, maybe even more than Lake of Shadows. Namely because every encounter can be safely managed from a specific spot on the map (and no, they aren't cheese spots). Take your time and engage only when you have to, no reason to die a stupid death just because you wanted the clear to be a "little bit" faster. Not much else to say here, enjoy!
0:00 Intro / Overload Captain 8:56 Defend Ghost 20:30 Spider Tank 46:40 Boss
This is a solo grandmaster nightfall strike called Devil's Lair that has a boss named Sepiks Prime. This was done on a warlock using the exotic helmet dawn chorus.Solo Flawless Master Presage - Warlock - Season of the LostRyTown2021-10-29 | Once more I ask you, do you want to get ready for the 30th Anniversary dungeon coming in December? If so, Solo Flawless Master Presage is a great place to improve your skills. The timer makes this a tight squeeze (if you're doing it now, you might be over-leveled enough that it doesn't matter). I did this towards the beginning of the season and just never uploaded it (also why no intro commentary).
Anyways, the goal here is: carry all 3 element types and zoom, making sure that during the non-combat areas you are pushing it as quickly as you can. This is where you are going to make up a lot of time. If you enter the boss room around 8-10min left, you're golden. You can take as much time as you need here (obviously 8-10min, but that should be enough for even the slowest of us).
Hanger Encounter: The area to the right of where you enter is your friend. Always try to be near it so that in the event you need to retreat and recover, it's there for you. Screebs spawn on a timer (I don't know exactly what it is) but be listening for the scorn spawn sound, you've got 3 screebs incoming. The other item of note here is: in order to spawn the two abominations you need to kill a certain amount of enemies in the room. I usually like to take out the void/arc captains along with their red bards, but you don't have to kill those champions (they also respawn once you've killed an abomination).
Boss room: don't try to push it. Take your time. If you get to the room with 8 minutes remaining, you are not in a bad spot. Rotate around the room, use the escape holes and reposition. No need to risk death for 5-10% more damage done to the boss unless you LITERALLY HAVE NO TIME. That is all.
Anyways, that's all I got. Later.Grandmaster Nightfall Speedrun: Exodus Crash (7:22) w/ PlatinumRyTown2021-10-25 | Boy did I think this week was going to be rough for speeds. Not in terms of difficulty but time. How wrong was I. This strike can be zoomed pretty quickly. It's all about going psycho mode. Ignoring pretty much everything and sitting in one place while you tank electricity, grenades and melees while dealing damage to the boss or passing the time on the plate.
Riot is using Aeon's. Strats are in the forward. That's all I got. Later.
This is a grandmaster nightfall on the strike exodus crash with platinum score.Solo Grandmaster Nightfall: Exodus CrashRyTown2021-10-23 | Solo GM Nightfall Exodus Crash. Really didn't think I was going to do this one. Thankfully much of this strike is relatively easy. With the exception of two instant deaths, I made it to the boss room every time. And the boss room itself isn't THAT bad. It really only gets rough in the second half of the fight due to the swarm of electric shanks. If you can master the boss room, I think almost anyone can complete this GM. Just keep rotating and understand that EVERY TIME you come out of invis you are on the clock. The boss is coming and you're going to get one tapped.
Anyways, enjoy!
Live comm audio is a little borked. Basically everything was good, I adjusted the max peaks to -12DB but despite that, the peaks were still clipping HOW DOES THAT MAKE SENSE. So now you have to manually adjust the DB to get the track around -12. However, that messes with the noise gate. Despite having a compressor/limiter around -20, the noise gate set to -48 still blocks off audio. I got nothing. I would mess around with this, but YT takes around 10 hours to properly process so I'm not going to re-upload. If it's a big deal, let me know in the comments and I'll do it.

The video has my loadout at each area. Timestamps if you want to jump ahead and plan everything out before loading in. Other than that, it's pretty straightforward. A map for the opening section really helps. Vorgeth is a game of balance. Understand where you are in the room relative to the enemies and take each side out systematically. The final boss is all about getting to DPS. Be aware of psion spawns on your left and right, nuke the three mini-bosses and start hacking away at the boss.

This is a pretty straightforward run, with the minor exception of the first area. Once we kill the first champion at the third blight, Lethal turns back to solo the very first blight. This prevents an additional set of enemies from spawning in but still retains platinum status. After that, everything is just snowballing with the three of us. That's it. Later.Solo Grandmaster Nightfall: Lake of ShadowsRyTown2021-10-14 | Yes hello. Hello yes? If I add a long pause between the two, does it make you uncomfortable? Yes Hello. I hope you're having a good day.
Ok, Lake of Shadows. It's a strike and you kill taken enemies in it. Two things to keep your eye on, if you leave the first blight for last you don't spawn the set of enemies between the first and second blight. This still counts for platinum. The second one is, the boss encounter seems easy / simple but it can be incredibly unforgiving if you're not careful. It's a small arena and anything can happen and it can happen quick. Stay on top of the enemy spawns and you should be fine.
If you've made it this far, remember. Take it slow. Who cares if you're clear is slower than others or doesn't look "flashy". You got the clear, that's all the matters.

Anyways algo, do your thing.Grandmaster Nightfall Speedrun: Hollowed Lair (13:00)RyTown2021-10-12 | We got the boiz together for a solid zoom sesh. We hit a HYUUUUGE roadblock for at least an hour trying to kill the first overload. Was kind of a nightmare, final couple runs we finally broke through and hit a 14:40(ish), 14:00 and then 13:00. If we had a couple more runs in us I thihk we hit the sub 12.
I included the comms for this video but it doesn't quite tell the whole story. The biggest overarching strategy for this strike is prioritization. You need to be on top of spawns ASAP to get the cascading destruction of bottom tree dawn. A little late? They spread out and now you're on the back foot. So we are constantly coordinating who is doing what and where.
That's all I got. Enjoy.
0:00 Opening / Intro 2:25 Tank Room 4:50 Double Plate Room 10:11 Boss RoomSolo Grandmaster Nightfall: Hollowed LairRyTown2021-10-10 | Ahhh yes, solo grandmaster time. It's insane how the margin for error decreased tenfold compared to the master version (I was -20 lvls for that one). The baby screebs make the boss room incredibly tense as you need to ensure for every stalker kill you can also deal with the screeb. I think it took 13 total attempts and I made it to the boss room 10 of those times. Which just shows, the real struggle is managing everything that happens in the boss room. The encounter hangs on the tiniest of threads and so much can go wrong at a moments notice (grenades, screebs, boss, champs). Anyways, the intro should do enough to give you an idea of what my strategy was.
This is a solo grandmaster nightfall on the planet Tangled Shore and the strike is Hollowed Lair. The boss that dies at the end is called the Fanatic, he's stinky. Anyways algo, do your thing.Master Nightfall Speedrun: Proving Grounds (8:24)RyTown2021-10-04 | A zoom zoom zoom. Proving Grounds is a fun strike that can go quickly if you have solid grasp of enemy prioritization. Understanding which enemies will give you a hard time if you let them roam will increase your completion odds tenfold. Barrier champs are a must kill in the tank room. Only other element to be aware of is: in the boss room, if you leave the unstoppable champions alive when you start the next phase, will prevent additional unstoppables from spawning. This allows you to keep platinum without having to kill potentially 6 unstoppables. Probably not viable in GM but still, good for Master zooms.

I don't know, it's late. I want to sleep. I shoot things with a bow, bow poisons other things, those things die. Sometimes I super. Sometimes I throw a grenade. Sometimes I melee but forget that I don't have dunemarchers on, so I run around pointlessly. Ok goodbye.

This is a solo nightfall of the 100k variety. In which my Titan, using the superman middle tree arc subclass attempts to complete the strike called Proving Grounds. I do not use the very good exotic primary Vex Mythoclast because I already did that with my previous two clears.Solo 100k Nightfall (Legend): Proving Grounds - HunterRyTown2021-10-01 | Alright alright alright. Now I know by now, you're probably used to each clear having a somewhat different loadout. But as I talk about at the start, I just wasn't vibing with anything else while keeping it under time and at score. Sooo we're back on the Vex juice. It's really unfair to every other primary. Don't be fooled tho, Vex's excellence is primarily tied to Particle Deconstruction, so be prepared for a natural fall from grace come Witch Queen.

Yes hello YouTube, I know I ask this of you every time I publish a video but here we go again: this is a nightfall solo of the 100k variety played on the legend difficulty in the video game Destiny 2 on the class warlock. This warlock just so happens to be using bottom tree dawnblade along with the exotic helmet dawn chorus. Thank you.Solo 100k Nightfall (Legend): Devils Lair - HunterRyTown2021-09-23 | I've been doing a lot more "commentary", to the point that the semi-detailed descriptions don't feel necessary. Having said that, one thing I only realized after making the thumbnail for this video: I don't think I used Sixth Coyote once. This is where I push it on to you, what exotic would you run here?
Couple final points, the determination to do "platinum" is based off of whether or not it makes sense in the context of what I'm doing. For 100k, it's not necessary to kill literally every champion. And in some cases, it might actually be a detriment to you achieving a 100k score (which is the entire point of these videos). For more "challenge" style videos like GMs or Masters I will be killing all possible champs.
Enjoy!

I genuinely don't think people should be going for 100k solos this week unless they absolutely need to or want the challenge. 100k on Legend is squeezing it very very close. I hit 95-99k at least 10 times prior to this run. The name of the game here is making enough optimizations that you can clear the entire first boss phase with full points. From there, keep it together and you should get the pinnacle.
Hopefully the little preamble was helpful, I normally put that stuff here but thought it could be useful front and center on the video.

Elemental Wells are really starting to grow on me (mostly just Well of Life + Melee Wellbreaker) but hopefully once all of this season's mods are out we'll find some new builds (video coming once they're all out and I've had time to play around with them).
Anyways, Assassin's Cowl is actually good. The finisher part is good but using the synergy that middle tree solar Hunter provides makes it great. Try to keep x3 as much as possible but if it runs out just dodge and boom you have your melee back. It's just free real estate. Mythoclast isn't really needed here, it's just the easy pick. Pretty much any primary that you're comfortable with will do (you could even possibly go with a special fusion). Time was little tight on this run, but I'm sure if I spent a couple more runs it wouldn't have been a problem. Even so, as you can see in the video, there are more than enough enemies around to counter the depreciating point total.

The name of the strike is Exodus Crash. Please YouTube, take my words and spread them to the YT algorithm so that all may hear them.Solo 100k Nightfall (Legend): Exodus Crash - WarlockRyTown2021-09-10 | This week has been an interesting one, hope you're enjoying the clickbait thumbnails. We shall see where next week takes us. For now, it's been fun using "wacky" builds for these 100k nightfalls. Devour has always been good and riskrunner vs fallen is amazing. Combine the two and you basically can't die. The biggest gap in this build is solely due to barrier champions existing. I tried a few different special weapons in place of the auto and while it worked "sometimes", most of the time the barrier would cause too many problems if you couldn't immediately kill it. Hence the double primary. Thankfully riskrunner is top tier so it doesn't really matter.
Enjoy the fake out around 8:17 forgot about the third audio track (same as the titan video). I edited and re-uploaded the hunter video so no worries there.

Protective Light and Well of Life allow you to stay alive for way longer than you should be able to. I'm interested to see where Elemental Wells wind up once all of this season's mods are released. The core of this build I got from the homie Nathan, check out his channel: youtube.com/user/n1a1t1h1a1n123456789
Soooo uhhhh, ignore the audio at 8:17 LMAO Somehow that snuck through on the audio track.
The name of the game here is trying to have constant well of life up-time via throwing hammer kills. Other than that, Witherhoard key choke-points and use the LMG for long-range / quick clearing, especially in the boss room. Other than that, have fun, that's the entire point of the build.

This is Destiny 2 the video game where I'm playing a nightfall strike on the planet Nessus. The strike is called Exodus Crash and I'm a Titan using the middle tree solar subclass.Ruins of Wrath - Trivial & Enigmatic Mysteries Guide - Week Three Seasonal ChallengeRyTown2021-09-07 | Went for a little different approach this time. Instead of a semi constant commentary, I set the stage and let the video play out from there. Let me know your thoughts, do you prefer Weeks 1, 2 or 3?
The Shattered Realm is such an awesome place. Every once and a while Bungie pulls these amazing areas out and it sucks me back in. Ruins of Wrath is no different. Maybe I just really like the Ascendant Realm in general, I don't know. If you're reading this far down, what's your favorite location in the Destiny franchise?

I think if I swapped to arc resist things might've been a little smoother (also using vex would've made everything fine LMAO). But I wanted to use a fun and different loadout compared to the previous 2 solo 100Ks.
The combo of withering flame + the overload stun melee is awesome. Will more than likely be the meta for GMs with at least one person running it.
That's it, enjoy!

Originally I wanted to limit uploads to 3 per week (Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday). The more I thought about it, the more I realized that certain uploads would lose value over time as people level up and stop needing to do pinnacles, IE: 100k nightfalls. And as the season progresses, more and more people will be getting closer to 1350 (the current Master NF level) and thus be trying to solo those, and then finally GMs. So for that reason, I'll be uploading Legend (if 100k is possible) Solos on all three classes for every nightfall going forward, along with trying to vary the loadouts so it's not just Vex + anything. Anyways, enough of the rambling.
Much like the Warlock solo, and all solos really, the name of the game is patience. Until you start losing points to time, relax. Don't try to get flashy and systematically take out the enemies in front of you.
My mods didn't really matter here (I think I still had quick charge on from Hollowed Lair last week).
Later.

Seriously, go LFG Vault of Glass. Particle Deconstruction + Vex is INSANE. That's it. You'll notice I use it for 99% of the kills. Occasionally using the sword to finish off some champs and the boss. Safe and methodical will get you the clear (sound familiar?).
That’s it, that’s really all I got for this. Enjoy and good luck on your own solos!

New location to go with it: Debris of Dreams. I love when Destiny is back in mystery solving mode. Always fun to go on the hunt.
I'm not sure if these are all the mysteries available to be completed this week, but I was able find 3 Enigmatic Mysteries along with 8 trivial ones.
Somehow I missed how terrible the pacing is at the beginning. Next time, I think I'm going to skip the intro portion entirely, much like the week one guide.

I'm not sure if these are the only 3 that can be found this week, but they are the ones I found.
I ended up going back in after uploading the original video (ends at 4:28) and found the remaining mysteries. As you can see, I took some unconventional routes to a few of the mysteries, but went back and tried to identify how you should grab them. The only one that is a little bit strange for me is the last one, I don't know if that "clip" through the wall works normally.
Anyways, I'll try to get the video up for Week 2 (assuming something similar is available) right after reset.
Anyways, doing nightfalls at -20 or beyond is all about patience. Take your time, clear the room out, understand spawns / spawn triggers. Don't go for the hero play, and you'll get the clear. This video has light commentary but I'm also silent for around the first 15min.

I'm sure most people know by now but the boots do be good. Master Lost Sectors have a much higher chance of dropping an exotic (I almost always get what I'm missing first or second try, your mileage may vary). Take easy and take it slow and you'll be clearing this in no time.
That's really it, I was playing around with the solar debuff mod and it's fun but will probably need a build around it (getting nade + melee back constantly outside of the overload return mod).
Goodbye.Solo Chamber of Starlight - Master Lost Sector - WarlockRyTown2021-08-26 | Being under-leveled and without Anarchy is rough my dudes. These Lost Sectors are a drag, maybe by the time it comes around again we'll be close enough to 1350 that it isn't a big deal but right now, the amount of waves that spawn in only after you've killed everything else is annoying.
That's all I got. These videos will continue to be "safe" strategies that can be easily replicated. Next rotation I'll be going for fast / more efficient clears.
Later.Solo Perdition - Master Lost Sector - WarlockRyTown2021-08-25 | New season, new exotics. Old D1 Warlock gloves are back on the menu in the form of Nothing Manacles. Grab yours via the Perdition Lost Sector on Europa. This is the master version, so you're roughly 25-30 levels under depending on how much you have grinded XP. I was sitting at 1325 when I ran this.
Strategy is simple, use your bow and pop those arc shields. Sniper to clean up / hit the bigger enemies. Bait the overloads with an early stun / follow-up with snipe. Keep them weak while they charge you and BAM. Hit them with Lament.
Nothing more to say, play it safe and these new exotic gloves will be yours in no time.
(You can swap out sub-class / exotic but I chose slowva + contraverse because of the occasional void shield along with the utility of insane nade regen).
Enjoy!GM Nightfall - Inverted Spire in under 7 minutes (6:58)RyTown2021-08-21 | We zoom once more and zoom we did. If memory serves me, I think we swapped a Warlock to a Titan (middle tree arc), other than that nothing is drastically different. Just some subtle optimizations in positioning and bada bing bada boom we zoom.

This video is a celebration of the past 4 years in Destiny 2. I've found a strong group of friends located around the world to share in the laughs and triumphs that we've accomplished since Destiny 2 launched. From speed run world records to low-man challenges to just having a good laugh, no other game has come close to providing the environment that Bungie has in Destiny 2. Here's to 4 more years of fun!
