This is (the non reversed) an arrangement of 'Yo-Kai Disco' from Mamoru-kun Curse, composed by Yousuke Yasui.
It's pretty basic for the first half, but offers some more variation for the second, playing around with some of the motifs. After a key change, the verse 1 motif returns in the final chorus section, which worked surprisingly well.
If you haven't, the whole Mamoru-kun Curse soundtrack is great, bizarre stuff.

---
Analysis:
-. Asuiro A brief introduction that introduces some parts of Asuiro (first in A, and then moving briefly up through D-flat and E-flat before settling in F) before it slowly drifts away into silence.
1. The Eyes-of-Gold The harp takes over (with glockenspiel doubling), accompanied by pizzicato strings, and later woodwind. Brief motivic fragments of the next section can be heard, as well as a small continuation of Asuiro, before once again almost drifting into silence.
2. The Jewellery The music picks back up, now in 3/4 time, and the melody is passed around mainly in the strings with varying accompaniments before at last being handed to the woodwinds and moving into a new key (from E-flat to A: although the chord movement is from a Cmin7 to Dmaj7). The horns add a new melody (a 3/4 adaptation of the theme for Nerrisa's section) that moves back into 4/4 as the woodwinds continue with Biboo's bgm melody in stretto.
3. Ravencroft The woodwinds briefly take back the melody, before the music cuts down to stings only, followed by a varied repeat with some added brass, and then with the melody reintroduced. The horn and strings take the countermelody build up and the melody is now passed into the strings, with the horn and trumpet playing a countermelody out of the remaining Asuiro chorus material. The horn then adds to the final playing of the melody with the stings taking the variation. The section ends with another shift to a new key, once again using the theme for Nerrissa's section (as well as a brief call of the Asuiro theme in the brass) to transition into the next section. The exact movement (from A to C) is through E to D-flat (passing C-flat note in the bass) to B-flat (again, passing A-flat in the bass) to C (or rather a Dmin7 over G),
4. Twin-light of The Dogs Starting with the pizzicato introduction, the flute takes the melody accompanied by a legato line passed up through the other woodwinds, and then a lower brass duo add some harmony. The second half of the theme is passed around the woodwind with some muted brass added. The pizzicato returns for the closing section, as an ominous rising motif builds in the bass.
-. Clear Sky A sudden and stormy rendition of SSS interrupts, slowing gradually as it resolves and builds to a climax, before giving way to one final outburst of Asuiro.

I aplogise for such a long break (almost 3 years) with no word after finishing Part II of this project and the - Council - movement. I knew I would eventually come back to this project, as I already had ideas for 'a' subsequent movement and some thoughts for an eventual finale. However, in that time: Sana graduated, Council became Promise (Part II has been given the title), 2 generations debuted (not even counting HoloStars), and even more recently, Ame (sort of) graduated too.
Indeed, a lot has happened, and perhaps that is why I decided to finally return and attempt to complete the work (hopefully before more can happen!). As such, Part III will be the last that I will add to this symphonic project, and the 5th movement, - Justice -, will double as the finale (more information on the end of the project will be given then).
I do regret taking so long in finally deciding to start working on this movement (- Advent -), as I feel very out of practice. As a result, I personally think this is a very poor and 'unfinalised' movement when compared to the others, but thank you for still listening to it (if you did) and reading this little contextual 'add on' anyway. It can always be revised and improved later (surely), but a work of substantial amount had to be created and in a presentable form before I could fully think about committing to the finale, and I guess that is what this is.

Advent key visual by Chyan (chyaan11).
Thank you to Hololive Fan Composer for having already transcribed Shiori's intro bgm (in a jazz style), it was helpful in double-checking harmonies and scoring.
There are only one or two classical references in the piece (though one is a little too obvious to be called a subtle reference), and, of course, the naming convention for the main sections (minus Asuiro and Clear Sky) is still a reference too.
Please look forward to definitely not another almost 3 year wait.

---
Analysis:
(alpha). Prelude The piece opens with a rising 3 note motif that will continue to reappear throughout the piece, before moving into an orchestration of the music from 'Prelude' with fragments of the sections to come.
1. The Speaker of Space Sana's section emerges from seemingly nothing, starting out with a light harp and glockenspiel duo, then a more playful texture in the woodwinds with pizzicato. After a brief moment of preemptive triumph, the horns then play with the strings for a more 'broad' mood. The mood changes again as the harp takes over, followed by the oboe as it blends into the next section.
2. The Keeper of Nature The section gradually adds more parts to fill in the harmony before then turning to a brief 'folk dance' (just the feeling I get with the new intro BGM). It moves to a new theme, and slows down. For the majority of Fauna's section, I decided to lower the key (of the old intro BGM) down from G to F. This was done to get a smoother transition between sections 1 and 3, but also to work the old intro BGM into the new intro BGM (in the original F).
3. The Warden of Time Kronii's intro BGM begins with long sustained strings (and harp ostinato throughout), but after the melody is added the music suddenly stops. It tries again, this time with a countermelody, but still ends up stopping. The upper strings continue with clarinet (later joined by flute and viola doubling the melody) accompaniment, and find their way (to the V chord the music was desperately seeking). But, rather than the expected E-flat major, the music turns to G minor (through C minor) instead with a new theme (Kronii's lo-fi BGM), before taking another unexpected turn to the even further away C-sharp minor.
-. Omen A brief interlude, an orchestration of the music from 'Omen', interrupts, building up to a climax, but falling short. From the silence, the 3 note motif returns briefly before a restatement of one of the motifs from 'Omen' reappears, as well as a new triplet rhythm in the trumpet. The music seems to stop once more.
4. The Guardian of Civilization I struggled at first to think how Mumei's section would be, but what it ended up as is something that doesn't really know what direction it wants to move in. There's calm moments, excited moments; the music speeds up and slows down at will; it moves quickly from one idea to the next. When the music finally begins to settle back down, the final cadence somehow misses.
5. The Bringer of Chaos The section begins with a triumphant augmentation of the 2nd half of Baelz's intro BGM (one last shriek in the woodwinds of Mumei's motif can be heard as well). As the music reaches a cadence, the trumpet interrupts before the 1st half of the intro BGM begins. Strings and woodwind alternate playing until the lower brass begins to rise chromatically, moving the music into a minor key. The strings and wooding begin to playfully mix, with a new countermelody (based on the 3 note motif) as well as another brief return of Mumei's motif. Just as the music begins to return the major, the section's starting texture returns, along with a (lovely and dissonant) quote from Baelz's ending BGM. Unlike the triumphant start, it gradually reduces to nothing but the 3 note motif, almost seeming like this could be the end.
(omega). Kirameki The opening bars return however (now a key lower), revealing the 3 note motif as the melody of Kirameki rider. Ideas from the previous sections come together as the music builds to it's climax. Once more it reduces to nothing but the 3 note motif, but now with the continuation of the melody (in a manner similar to - Hope -), the piece finds it's true end.

Council sketches are by Ninomae Ina'nis.
I also want to mention FestaVol, who had already transcribed Sana's intro BGM, it made scoring / notating that section a lot easier and a lot quicker compared to some the others.
There aren't as many hidden references (such as other Hololive songs, or classical music pieces) this time, though the few that are included are much harder to identify (without the score at least), but like last time, the naming convention of 'the X of Y' is still itself a little reference.
Please try to find them all! And thank you for listening!

The piece begins with the opening line from 'Caesura of Despair' in the violas, before gradually transitioning into the intro BGM (there is a very, very small passing quote from 'HERE COMES HOPE' in the clarinet: I wanted to include more but struggled finding places to fit it in...).
During the second lyrical section (~2:30) the chorus of 'diorama' is played (mostly intact) as a counter melody in the horns (later joined by bassoons and then briefly into an augmentation in the clarinets).
'Caesura of Despair' returns, now played by the whole string section, before moving to the coda. The harp plays an arpeggio (meant to mirror the - Myth - movement's ending but now with 6 notes instead of 5), followed by a fragment of Shiny Smily Story with one last statement of the opening melody.
---
There are no substantial references (intentionally at least) in this one, being shorter and mostly keeping to the original material.
The - Myth - movement was started after a good 3 months of getting to know each members personality, and although I was impressed I *could* work at a much quicker speed with - Hope - (an old version exists, done in less than a week after IRyS' debut), it felt a little disingenuous. I hope (no pun intended) to correct that with this revision (actually the third revision).
The most notable change to this revision is the removal of the piano part. Perhaps it's only because I'm a pianist myself, but the piano felt massively out of place playing such a prominent role in what is meant to be a symphonic piece, and for it's only use to be in a single movement of 3 (at the time) was uncalled for.

(For any music nerds) analysis:
As this was my first time making anything musically 'Halloween' related, the first step was to look at what made music sound 'Halloween' anyway. Organ, strings (plucked), harpsichord; it all seemed to be baroque based, until more modern things like the xylophone ('cause bones), theremin ('cause ghosts), and music-box came up. A nice mix of old and new.
It begins with the intro BGM in the minor key with a little theremin accompaniment before moving to the organ, briefly playing the theme in cannon with some glockenspiel accents.
The music then shifts up by a semitone, and the melody moves into the harpsichord which adds some ornamentation and later counterpoint with the Xylophone and music-box based on the intro BGM. The organ plays another ornamented variation which leads to a repeat with yet some more variation (in the harpsichord and an additional theremin line) sprinkled into the second playing.

As always, there are one or two musical references stitched into this, as well as something else I can only call an Easter egg of sorts...

The original composition, far less Satie inspired than 'Rain' was, had no notable influences (that I can recall), though studying Debussy's Prelude no. 6 (book 1) at the time was probably where any inspiration did come from.
Although I had no reference for the orchestration, with the added bass pizz. it ended up sounding somewhat similar to the night version of Twilight princess' Hyrule field (nothing to do with snow...). That being said, what orchestration ideas I found by studying the Satie/Debussy score for 'Rain' I kept in mind here as well.

Even with these old additions, the project still has several planned pieces missing. I haven't worked on it at all since 2016, and I have no current plans to either, aside from posting these left-overs. The project captured a carefree time of my life, and I feel adding new music to it years after would take away that nostalgic meaning the old music has to me now. Hmm, I can't quite word it right. It's like a time capsule that was buried with only half of what I wanted in it, but it'd feel wrong to dig it up now and add the rest in after so long.
But of all the pieces I did make for the project, I still feel most proud of this one. It takes the best parts of the project and puts them together in one sitting (and even includes a theme from one of those pieces that never got made).
In a way, this piece is the conclusion to both the fictional story, and the project itself.
And only now, years later, can I say that it's finished.

I wanted to edit this into a loop (like the other boss battles), but it didn't feel like there was enough material, so I left it how it was. Even now, that last bell strike leaves me wondering what would have come next had I finished it...

1. R.I.P: The piece begins with Calli's intro music, as well as brief fragments from the other members sections that will appear later on, and introduces the tritone motif (the devil's interval) that will return a few times. Four chimes lead into Shitsureshimasuga RIP (that also begins with a tritone motif) and builds to a climax. The tri-tone motif returns, and moves into Cursed Night.
2. K.F.P: The next section begins with Kiara's intro music, that is fragmented at first, but builds up to a full version (with a small quote of Kiara's BGM: Part-Time Warrior). I guess I was going for the image of a phoenix emerging from the ashes kind of idea. The tritone motif returns however, and moves into Hinotori. Cursed Night provides a countermelody: a little TakaMori moment captured in music (despite the fact the start of R.I.P and K.F.P were in as far a key apart as possible: E-flat major and A major... also a tritone).
3. N.N.M: Pizzicato strings begin with Ina's intro music, adding a little variation with each phrase. It moves into the woodwinds, then back to the pizzicato strings, and then to the full orchestra. I tried to keep it as calming yet playful as possible. A familiar motif (daaah-dun) interrupts.
4. G.W.R: The piccolo, flute, and a solo violin share the melody of Gura's BGM as more instruments join and the tempo increases, eventually leading to a fast and sudden stop. I was aiming for a sea-shanty kind of feeling...
5. A.M.E: An unintentional pun - 5.A.M.E (same = shark). A muted brass section plays Ame's BGM with a pizzicato accompaniment, joined by a clarinet that adapts Ame's intro music the second time round. The muted horns sound a little like barking at times, so I guess that's an unintentional reference as well... This section was surprisingly fun to do.
6. B.R.H: A more reflective rendition of Big Red Heart comes from the horn, as well as the return of Calli's intro music in the trombone (to wrap the form up before the finale).
7. S.S.S: In the finale, Shiny Smily Story is split between the horns, and all of the previous themes (Cursed Night, Kiara's intro music, Ina's intro music, Gura's BGM, Ame's BGM) return as well (also a Hachamachamaaa in the last horn part). I was undecided whether to end it at the 'big chord' or not, but I decided to add one more quiet quote of Shiny Smily Story that is meant to represent the 'story' continuing past EN 1st generation.

For any music nerds interested in an brief analysis:
The first clarinet begins with the intro music, or what I'll just call the 'KFP melody', with a sleigh bell accompaniment (this is meant to be 'Christmas music' after all). Pizzicato strings form a rhythm section, and the bassoon and second clarinet provide a call and response version of the countermelody (at least the countermelody as I heard when transcribing, with some creative liberty) with some accents from the glockenspiel.
The glockenspiel then plays one of the themes from 'Part-time Warrior' (I'll refer to as PTW), the pizzicato strings continue with a steadier rhythm and some sustained parts that provide a nice pedal.
Harp glissando.
The KFP melody plays in augmentation (half speed) in the strings, with the horn playing a different theme also from PTW, it only appears the one time (I needed something to fill, tbh). The bassoon continues with the other theme of PTW, and the higher woodwinds take over what was the pizzicato rhythm. The non-augmented KFP melody returns in the clarinet (whilst the augmented version is still being played? Why yes! my composition teachers would be proud, hopefully...), the horns form some smushy chords, and the tubular bells ring one of the few tubular bell tunes I know...
Somewhere, there is also another hidden theme ;) Have fun finding it!
The pizzicato rhythm returns to the strings, and the glockenspiel plays a fragmented version of PTW to finish.
