I feel pretty removed from the original recordings, but the main reason is I want the series to be better: speed up the pacing, cut out empty space, hand-drawn thumbnail art, less stretchy on the screen, more professional gear setup, and improved commentary. Pikmin 2 Randomizer - 13 - Getting a Little Congested Particular Extras 2018-10-05 | Gah! Breadbugs, breadbugs everywhere! Enough! Hands off my treasure! Can we get some real enemies in h—OH SHOOT! Ask and you shall receive, I guess. We're tackling our second insane cave today; I'm hoping for difficult, but not, Gatling Groink difficult. It's a metal cave this time, so that could be good, or bad. Probably a little of both!In case anyone was wondering about what I mentioned in the video, there's an option to randomly select a certain number of enemies for each cave. Spawning different types of enemies takes up far more resources than making copies of a single type, and with so many enemies on insane caves, the game likes to crash. I found that if I limit each insane cave to six different types of enemies (not including bosses), crashes are severely less likely. The enemies are still completely random, but chances are if you see it once, you will probably see it again on another sublevel. The point of this channel is twofold: to have supplements to main channel videos, and more often, to be a place to upload a few times each month so I can take my time with main channel videos. Because of my recording location, the audio was a pain to edit, made even worse with videos getting up to 40 min long… (That’s longer than any main channel video atm.) On top of that I put too much effort into editing; so these videos that were supposed to take one, maybe two days, were taking three, four, even five days to complete. Which I’m fine with, except it was taking me away from working on the main channel. I would like to get back to the same level of quality that they were before; however I’ll need to hire an editor or something because they can’t be taking as much time as they were.2. This is the main reason; I need a job. I could make it more complicated, but plain and simple: I’m looking to start my career right now, and I just won’t be able to keep up with the main channel until I make enough progress that I can actually devote that large chunk of time again.So I took a break, made some career progress (not quite there yet), and spruced up the discord a bit.Which leaves us to this video. I’m going to start up the channel(s) again, cautiously. I’m tired of not keeping up with what I said I’d do, so I’m making no promises right now. Well, not blind as in I haven't played it before, but blind as in I'm literally keeping my eyes closed! No screen, just sound and HD rumble. Time to prove what I said about this game being easy!I'm going to call this the "Eyes Closed" Challenge from now on, to avoid confusion. Wish I took this tip earlier...The area itself has no name, but Wandering in the Fog is the name of the moon you get from collecting the five moon shards hiding in the fog. This set of girder and stone platforms is supposedly a maze, however a very tiny one at that. At least you can become a Paragoomba.Now I know questions will come up saying "How do I know your eyes are actually closed?", and to that I say you're going to have to take my word for it...or just not watch the video. I get that they want Van Gore to be the last portrait ghost, right after Sir Weston, but they didn't have to make you go down, then up, then down again, then up once more, and then, well you get it. On an unrelated note, the basement has a fantastic atmosphere; you really feel like you're coming in on the end game.
