Roosevelt Island Tram v2 Kindergarten Classrom Kit Preview Mark Roth 2014-05-16 | Simon and I have been working on a Roosevelt Island Tram Classroom Kit for Kindergarten classes to reinforce concepts in their Transportation Unit. This is the second iteration of our tram design which we'll try in his classroom later this month.This design improves over the previous design in that it is a 3D tram model, more faithful to the actual tram, and the winch is bi-directional and faster. There is a teacher's guide with full instructions for how to build this, complete with classroom activities (contact me if you'd like a copy of the guide).

The goal is to build a robot that waits for you to drop a ball in front of it. It will go up to the ball and wait for you to clap once. After you clap, it picks up the ball, turns around, drives to the "START" line, and drops the ball.
