Depending on Government assistance in the area, some of these people are facing paying a mortgage to the bank for the rest of their lives, on buildings that no longer exist, on acreage that has washed out to the ocean along a highway that may never be rebuilt.
The ones that managed to save their vehicles and trailers, getting them to sections of road that didn’t wash away will never be paid by insurance. The vehicles are fine. They aren’t damaged. They just can never be driven again…

Okay. It’s pretty apparent I haven’t cared about this channel for a long time. I’m sorry for the people who enjoyed it, but I lost the passion for it. So I want to be clear, I’m not posting this for likes and followers. I really don’t care if people smash the like and subscribe button, so it’s weird to ask for this to be shared. I don’t care if you share the whole thing. Just skip to 3:06 and share that little clip. This is a weird position to be in to be honest. To not use this for fame, which I don’t care about and use it for awareness without pissing off people who have supported me. Hope that makes sense?
A large region of British Columbia is suffering. This area has been devastated by fires, wiping out entire towns last summer, and now once in 200 year level floods. The world media isn’t talking about this, our governments seem flat footed, but the BC General Aviation community is stepping up.
I’m going to cut and paste my post from Instagram because I have a lot going on right now, but basically, people need help!
Shaun Heaps, @west_coast_pilot on Instagram is an absolute legend. I know this video will reach people who have no idea what British Columbia, Canada is up against right now, so here is the situation…
Last week, we were hit by the equivalent of over a month of rain in just 24 hours. An Atmospheric River with warm temperatures that melted several feet of fresh snow at the same time. All of that water hit land absolutely devastated by forest fires last summer. Land that used to absorb water, and now repels it.
The resulting floods destroyed highways, rail lines, power lines. It damaged critical infrastructure like pipelines. It flooded farm lands and destroyed our dairy industries…
Now, Vancouver, a region home to millions of people is (was) completely cutoff from the rest of Canada. Every road route to or from was damaged. Some so severe they will take months for just temporary fixes. Others have been completely destroyed.
The region is facing food shortages and the government has implemented fuel rations, which backfired and caused panic buying.
Our ports are congested because rail isn’t running, so bringing in more supplies is difficult.
Some communities are evacuated and others are completely cut off from re-supply. To make matters worse, these are areas that get cold. Really cold and winter is setting in.
So that is a quick overview, because I know most of the world has no idea. Hell, most of Vancouver still has no idea. It’s surreal how normal life feels Downtown with so many people suffering and losing everything just half an hour down on a flooded highway away.
So, needlessly to say, people need help. And that’s where people like @west_coast_pilot and @turbolyft have been stepping up!
This week, British Columbia’s General aviation community stepped up in a massive way! Shaun organized 30,000lbs of food and supplies delivered to his hangar in Langley. Then organized 24 private planes to ferry supplies to Merritt. He organized volunteers to unload the planes to get them quickly turned around for more loads, and even a local Sikh Temple to help pay the pilots fuel receipts!
Then, he organized helicopters to ferry those supplies directly to communities cutoff and needing aid.
Industry is starting to help Shaun. Telus dropped off Satellite phone to be distributed to communities and Native bands that have no communication.
But more is needed. Roads that have been recently reopened have been getting hit with additional slides and re-cut off. I was supposed to be delivering supplies right now, but my Igntion Box failed this morning. Volunteers are still needed. Helicopters are needed. We haven’t even hit the rainiest months yet.
People are dying. My buddy was scheduled to fly in a daughter concerned about her mother with failing health. As he was waiting for her to arrive, she was late. The pilot called the daughter and she was pulled over on the side of the road in hysterics. Her mother had just passed.
I’ve compiled some GOFUNDME’S from farms I’ve visited. I’ve stood where their land was. I can verify these are real and they really need our help. I will add more to the list as I verify that they really need assistance. Some of these people are facing paying a mortgage for the rest of their life to the bank on a property they cannot access and who’s land has been washed away down a river. Their vehicles are stranded on a highway that doesn’t exist. Because they are not actually damaged, Insurance won’t cover them because the car is fine. Just stranded.
The world needs to hear about this. Our famous sons and daughters from this Province need to speak up. Ryan Reynolds, Seth Rogan, Pamela Anderson, David Foster, Michael Buble, Steve Nash etc.
Tweet them. Instagram them. Ask them if they know what’s going on instead of asking for a selfie if you see them.
I gotta stop writing now. Text limit reached.
https://linktr.ee/BradleyFriesenDamage in the Nicola Valley. Highway 8 #bcfloodBradley Friesen2021-11-22 | ...Nicomen Nation has been cut off. They need donations until the road reopenBradley Friesen2021-11-21 | ...Thinking about starting a new channel and deleting this one...Bradley Friesen2021-01-17 | I’ll do a video soon going into more detail, but basically, in 4 years, ever since Casey Neistat grew my channel by over 100,000 new followers in 2 days after flying with me. This channel has stayed at 224,000 to 225,000 followers. And I'll be honest, I don't really care. I don't monetize my videos. I've only done 1 brand deal on IG and it was a pretty bad experience. So I don't really care about the #'s anymore, but I don't want to put work into something that's broken.
I'm not trying to complain about never growing, but it just seems weird. My channel grew like this: Started Channel. Slowly grew to 10,000 followers. Smarter Every Day Collab 10,000 to 20,000 overnight. Grew to 30,000 Life of Tom - Mr. Syndicate 30,000 to 80,000 Fun for Louis and others. Grew to 125,000 and then Casey came... 125,000 to 225,000!
Since then, Jon Olsson, Peter McKinnon, Sam Kolder, ijustine, Hat Films, Tom Scott, Sawyer Hartman, FlightChops, Sarah Underwood, and some pretty big actors and celebs ... basically 0 new followers
Last week, a massive channel called Daily Dose of Internet shared a clip. My comment on their video has over 22,000 likes and hundreds of comments. Social Blade showed 0 new followers and then finally grew by 1000 after 3 days. 0 since then
I think YouTube flagged me as a scam account (Buying followers or something) because of how I grew and has throttled the channel ever since.
So, if I'm going to put effort into YouTube, it really doesn't make any sense to try to grow this channel. There is nothing there yet, but this is what I'm thinking. Mr. Bentley and Brad. (Open to different name ideas if any has any)
What's your thoughts? Start fresh? There are tricks to fix this account?

Thanks for watching!!LAST CALL!!! Its FINALLY alive in both US and Canada!Bradley Friesen2019-08-16 | Some of you might remember that about 8 years ago, I was on a TV show called "Dragons Den" in Canada, which is the same show as "Shark Tank" in the US. I managed to be the first pitch in the history of the show to get the investment from all 5 Dragons. (meaning they shook my hand on the show, and then I survived Due Diligence and actually received their investment.)
Well... There were a lot of hurdles after that, including a 4+ year delay by Health Canada in approving the product due to a massive backlog caused by the legalization of pot in Canada.
And to Devin Olsen for filming and editing instagram.com/devinolsen/?hl=enIce Caves, Ice Worms, Need for Speed 2 with Tom ScottBradley Friesen2019-04-18 | Last year, Tom Scott put on his twitter that he was looking for video ideas in Vancouver. I tried messaging him there with no success. Suddenly I got an email from Tom on my gmail that he heard I was the guy to see in Vancouver. So, we did this together.
While he was in Vancouver, he suddenly realized he had been here before, but as a kid playing a video game called "Need For Speed 2". He talked about wanting to do a video on the game which he recently released. It was super cool, and on our flight, he was still trying to figure out a script. I thought people might like to get a bit of a behind the scene look at Tom and his video. Hope you enjoy.
Also a HUGE thanks to everyone who bought my tooth brush after the last video! Really incredible to have your support like that! It's a product I'm really happy about and think gives a lot of value. If you ordered and received it, please let me know your thoughts in the comments!
Also! My other new product, Last Call is finally available on Amazon. It doesn't ship to Canada yet because of Health Canada regulations. But, we received that approval after 3 years in the application stage last week, so the Canadian version is coming soon!
Oh! and huge thanks to Sky Helicopters and Allan Fraser for flying me up multiple times to help rescue my Heli! We actually got it out just in time, because a few days later a bear found my paddle boards and popped all 3 of them. Also chewed my repair kits and pumps at the lake. If the Heli was still there, he definitely would have ripped it open. Thanks bear. instagram.com/skyhelicopters/?hl=en instagram.com/allanfraser/?hl=en
Last summer while flying with York and the guys from GoPro prior to the launch of the GoPro Hero 7, Bentley and I split up from the group and flew 3 paddle boards to a gorgeous blue lake. The plan was to meet up a few hours later at Pitt Meadows Airport and then fly to the lake. Well... when I went to start up, BOOM! My battery made a huge pop sound and everything went dead, including my radios. Zero juice. When I went under my seat to grab my PLB (Personal Location Beacon) and handheld radio, I realized someone removed my bag from the Heli and put it in York's machine. I worked for a few hours, scaling the mountain across the lake trying to get a signal.
At around 9pm, just before dark, York found me and flew us home! What a guy! Love you York!IM BACK!!!Bradley Friesen2019-02-14 | I'm Back!!! What a way to start back. The Plan, make Leila think they had won a free social media flight with Sky Helicopters. Fly her to a rock, and make an excuse why she needed to stay on the rock. Put her boyfriend Brody in the helicopter, and fly back to her and surprise the hell out of her.
It worked!
Big thanks to the guys at Sky Helicopters, Zach Moxley, Devin Olsen, Chris Carr and Ryan Adams for helping pull this off. Was a ton of fun. A short video of the proposal will be out soon.

As for the fuel filter light. I had this happen 2 years ago. I couldn't remember the corrective action. My AME (Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, or, mechanic) reminded me that when it last happened, we pulled the fuel system and found no issues. They ordered a new switch, but never installed it because the problem never reoccured. After this flight, we again pulled the filters and checked the lines and found nothing. At the next scheduled maintenance interval, we plan to replace the switch.

We had the fortune of giving three Syrian refugees, Ayat, Omer and Hozan, a unique look at part of their new home from the sky.

About the Syrian Conflict: In 2011, a bloody civil war broke out in Syria and has been raging on ever since. It’s estimated that well over 11% of Syria's population has either been wounded or killed as a result of the fighting. As of July 2017, over 5,116,097 refugees are registered by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
Syria is ranked as the most violent country on Earth in the Global Peace Index, behind Iraq and Afghanistan, and the fighting continues to this day.
In 2015, the Government of Canada strengthened its commitments to Syrian refugee resettlement. Canadians from coast to coast have opened their arms hearts to refugees, by sponsoring and helping to settle more than 40,000 people forced from their homes and displaced by the war. This includes involvement by private sponsorship, all levels of government and non-government organizations.
About DIVERSEcity Community Resource Society: DIVERSEcity is a non-profit organization focused on providing services and programs to new Canadian immigrants and refugees throughout British Columbia's Lower Mainland. DIVERSEcity assists diverse newcomers with community integration through Refugee & Specialized Programs such as settlement & community, language & literacy, employment & skills training, counselling, interpretation & translation services and child/youth programs.
Our three passengers for the day, Ayat, Omer and Hozan, were among the many who arrived in the country with nothing, after fleeing their homeland. As clients of DIVERSEcity they rely on the organization and others like it to help them have an opportunity at building a new, productive and happy life in Canada.

Normally as part of my kit, I have a saw, but during a winter camping trip, it got removed from the helicopter. Since I didn't have a saw when I grabbed my kit, I went without. That stupid little multi-tool/hatchet was terrible. I have no idea why I decided to throw that in my kit. It sucked. It was a Christmas Gift from my mom... I hate that stupid thing.

Music - Handbook soundcloud.com/handbookWhat $1,300,000 gets youBradley Friesen2017-06-01 | So this is what $1,300,000 gets you in Vancouver, Canada. I had to move out of my apartment. It was supposedly a nice, new apartment with an assement value of $1.3M. Unfortunately, the unit/building has a lot of deficiencies that required me to move all of my belongings out. The floors were scheduled to take 10 business days to replace. That, combined with the other repairs that were required, and it was going to be a major hassle. Thankfully, my landlord allowed me to terminate my lease early and move out. I couldn't be happier to get out of that building. I will never rent or buy from that developer based on my expeirnce in my 5 months of living in that building.FPV drone race in BelfastBradley Friesen2017-05-29 | Our last full day in Northern Ireland we spent watching FPV Drone races, exploring the Titanic Museum and drinking a couple Irish beers. Sorry for the late upload we are getting off a pretty lengthy travel day.
Big thanks to Zac from Jerry Rig Everything for the guided tour of the Titanic Museum. I learned so many real and fake facts. I had no idea everyone building the ships perished! Check out his channel. We can't wait to do some epic phone tests in the mountains with him soon. youtube.com/watch?v=hCs14nHtbE4
