Hyannis, NE Area Tornadoes Timelapse Supercut (4/27/2025) Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2025-05-01 | Between 5:35 and 7:16 local time on April 27, 2025, I documented five tornadoes that occurred to the west and north of Hyannis, NE, splitting between the towns of Bingham and Ashby. Four of those five are timelapsed here (two of which show their entire lifecycle) with timestamps for how long the timelapses were going at each of the three locations I recorded from. Quarter to golfball sized hail was consistently falling at all three locations during the entire duration of all timelapses. I never noticed any visible debris in the air or powerflashes for any of these tornadoes. Tripod Video Up Close w/ No Yelling! | 6-28-25 Gary, SD Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2025-07-05 | On June 28, 2025, dreams came true for Cam and I as we were blessed to witness what many longtime storm chasers have labeled one of the greatest tornadoes of the decade and maybe all time near Clear Lake and Gary, South Dakota. Experience this tornado through my eyes, with most of its lifespan filmed with tripoded video less than a mile away, with no annoying yelling or exaggerating, just the sounds of nature!This twister tore through mostly open fields for nearly 40 minutes, only damaging two farmsteads and causing no life-threatening injuries despite its immense violence which can be heard as an audible roar multiple times throughout this video. SHAPESHIFTING VIOLENT TORNADO: Eldorado/Olustee Oklahoma Tornado in 4K! (5/23/2024) Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2024-05-29 | On May 23, 2024, an incredibly photogenic, long lived, and strong tornado tore across the dusty open fields of SW Oklahoma near Eldorado and Olustee, not hurting a fly. Perhaps one of the best studied and observed tornadoes in decades, it put on a show for nearly an hour for chasers and scientific instruments alike. Here is my groups experience of that career day. The supercell was in vaccuum mode its whole life, meaning I really struggled to keep the tripod still with the 50+ mph sustained inflow winds, so apologies for the artifacts from stabilization once in a while. The motion of this tornado was very slow but erratic directionally, leading to us pulling back a little bit halfway through its life and only briefly catching glimpses of its final white barrel stages through the dust, unfortunately. THE MOST DIFFICULT STORM CHASE: May 21, 2024 Villisca & Corning Iowa Tornadoes in 4K! Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2024-05-26 | May 21, 2024: The most challenging day yet of my storm chasing career saw us trying to stay ahead/catch up to long track, violent tornadoes moving at 60mph. Somehow, we managed to witness the first half of the two most significant tornadoes of the day from close (but still safe) range before they eventually outran us and roped out in the distance. Usually, I'm more of a time-lapse from distance kind of guy but the storm motions and hectic development of multiple tornadoes at once led to me only being able to shoot video, mostly from in the car, so apologies for the shakiness. Heck of a day for mother nature to give one of my best friends their first real tornado.Unfortunately, we watched the beginnings of one of the most violent, deadly, and life-changing tornadoes in recent history, including coming across multiple tragic scenes of damage that were not included in this video out of respect for the victims. Goshen County, WY Large Tornado Lifecycle Timelapse Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2023-06-25 | From birth to rope out, my 4K timelapse of the entire 15 minute lifecycle of the Goshen County WY to Nebraska state line (~10 miles NNE of La Grange) tornado, from 6:43-6:58pm local time without having to move or reposition once from Stegall Rd. Our sixth tornado of the day from this career best chase day, and the best documented tornado of my storm chasing career. From initial occlusion, wall cloud and RFD clear slot into tornadogenesis, to multiple rounds of further occlusion and maintenance, some vortex breakdown, ropeout, and even the handoff to the new mesocyclone that would produce the Tornado Emergency warranting Scottsbluff, Nebraska tornado a bit later. I can't believe I saw it all from the same spot, with no other chasers but my wonderful partner around. Just lightning and thunder, crickets and birds, without having to move at all. Spectacular day for storm chasers again in Goshen County, Wyoming. Perryton, Texas: Second Tornado Timelapse (June 15, 2023) (4K) Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2023-06-16 | No audio timelapse of the second Perryton tornado from June 15, 2023, that tracked over open fields south of town after the first tragic, terrible tornado. Please keep the wonderful people of Perryton, Texas in your thoughts and consider helping them out in any way you can. Seconds after watching the horribly tragic first Perryton tornado fade away into the rain, a spectacular second, much more peaceful tornado of landspout origin formed a few hundred yards from us as a dusty whirl. At some point, it must have transitioned to a hybrid, interacting with the parent mesocyclone nearby, and dramatically it went from a dust whirl to a spectacle, and just kept growing and growing as it tore through the unpopulated Texas mud for nearly 30 minutes a few miles south of town. A horribly sobering example from one supercell of the two sides of nature we encounter living, traveling through, visiting, and chasing in the great plains. Thoughts and prayers for Perryton.

Herington, Kansas Tornadoes Timelapse, April 29 2022 Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2022-04-30 | Quick 4k no audio upload of the Herington, Kansas tornadoes (3) sequence around 8PM on April 29 2022. Was dropping south onto the towers going up near Wichita that would end up becoming the Andover tornado but had to stop and watch as three dusty tornadoes, the first two seemingly landspouts as the QLCS along the cold front hit the dryline, and the third from an embedded supercell that developed within the line, and overtook highway 77 infront and behind us! Just the formation of the third and longest track one at the end as we had to drop south to get out of its way. Incredible colors and chase day!

3-5 Vorticital funnel phenomenon Gage “hyskywx” Gibson Storm Chasing 2020-07-20 | 6-8-19 2 miles NNE of Strasburg, Colorado. brief less than 60 second occurance of 3-5 needle vorticies condensing on the western or backside of a nontornadic supercell, which i believe to be vorticies from the SVC or other sources wrapping around the mesocyclone and condensing on the backside, specifically the section of where vorticity gets wrapped around the rfd and into the main updraft in the leigh orf simulations. A fourth funnel can even be seen condensing from the bottom of the funnel up to the croud as we make a right turn to pull over a view the funnels, which dissiapted before we could get out of the car and left us stunned. All were rotating, and rotating cyclonically. The phenomenon was reported to the NWS and spotter network on 6-8-19 at around 5:06 PM MST.
