Hey everyone! Here is another hat of the month. It's been so long since I've done one of these, but I hope you guys like this one. It started out as just a 1920's style hat, because in my suggestion video GingerKittyKat48 had mentions "era style" hats, but as I finished it, it made me think of iconic Nancy Drew. So now here is my 1920's style Nancy Drew hat. I've seen almost all the Nancy Drew movies made, Emma Roberts version is my favorite, and I'm curious/excited for the newest one with actress Sophia Lillis. Do you guys like the Nancy Drew films? Caron Simply Soft yarn in Autumn Red
Clover Bamboo 16" circular needles & double pointed needles size 8 (5mm)

Instructions:
Cast on 99sts

Work garter stitch for 1 1/2". Since we are working in the round it will be alternating rows of knit and purl to achieve garter stitch.

Knit 3 plain rows.
*K7, ssk; rep from * around. - 88sts
Continue in plain knit for 7" from cast on edge.

Crown Decreases:
When stitches get tight, switch to double pointed needles.
Row 1: *K9, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 2: *K8, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 3: *K7, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 4: *K6, K2tog; rep from * around.
Row 5: *K5, K2tog; rep from * around.

Aluminum Double Pointed Needles size 4 (3.5mm)
1 - 2 skeins or 110 grams of sport weight or light weight yarn.
Baby Bee 3ply yarn in Pea Pod
Stitch Marker
Sewing Needle
Pen and Paper to keep track of your rows

Size:
small, (medium, larger)
These are women and men sizes, plus a larger size.

Finished Measurement:
Is determined by length of foot.

Gauge:
24 sts and 32 rows = 4" in stockinette

Cast on 44, (48, 52) sts
Work 8 rounds of *K1, P1; rep from *.

Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until sock measures 7", or desired length, ending on row 2.
Row 1: *K3, P1; rep from *
Row 2: *P1, K1, P2; rep from *

Heel Flap:
Knit 11, (12, 13) sts
Turn work, P22, (24, 26) sts on new needle.
Place remaining stitches on extra needle or holder.

Now you can close up your sock. Decide if you want to close it up like a hat or use kitchener stitch.

Hey everyone! I wanted to make this video for the fact that I LOVED the Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children movie. After seeing it again in theatres I thought knitted eyeballs would represent the movie really well and be a great tutorial for Halloween. Hey everyone! Here is a a little Halloween treat for you, a Jack Skellington inspired striped scarf. It's super easy to make and you can use different colors and patterns to fit your liking. Hope you enjoy!

Red Heart Super Saver Yarn in Black & White (1 ball each)
Clover Bamboo Interchangeable 48" circular needles size 9 (5.5mm)
Crochet Hook

Size:
50" length
3 1/2" wide

Instructions: (moss stitch pattern)
With white yarn; cast on 250 sts

Instructions:
Cast on 6 sts
(divided evenly on 3 of your double pointed needles)
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: *Kf&b; rep from * - 12 sts
All alternating rows, plain knit
Row 4: *K2, YO; rep from * around - 18 sts
Row 6: *K3, YO; rep from * around
Row 8: *K4, YO; rep from * around

Body:
Continue in stockinette stitch (knit every row) until you reach 2" shorter then you want your crow to be.
4.5" for the body height

Beak:

Hat:
With Brown yarn.

Work half an inch of a brim for your crow's hat (about 4 rows.)

Knit your crow stitches and your brim stitches together. Transfering your hat stitches over to your main needle.

Stuff the crows body with fiber fill, to your liking.

Work in stockinette, with your hat yarn, 1" (about 7 ish rows.)

Hat Decreases:
Row 1: *K1, K2tog, K to last 3 sts, SSK, K1; rep from * on each needle.

Repeat Rows 1 & 2; 3 times.

Four Matching Buttons
Cable Needle

Size:
2 cup teapot

Measurements:
6 1/2" across
5" tall

Gauge:
20 sts and 36 rows = 4" in seed stitch.

Instructions: (make 2)
Cast on 33 sts
Work seed stitch for 2"
Row 1: *k1, P1; rep from * across
Repeat Row 1 for seed stitch pattern.

Knit 4 Rows (garter stitch)

Clover Bamboo 16" Circular Needle size 5 (3.75mm)
Random 4ply yarn about 5oz (wool blend)

Size:
6-9 Months

Measurements:
18" around
7.5" tall

Gauge:
20 sts and 24 rows = 4" in st st.

Instructions:

Earflap:
(worked in garter stitch; knit every row)
Cast on 6 sts
Mark this row as the front. We will use this later on.
Row 1: Knit
Row 2: *K1f&b, K to last st, K1f&b
Repeat Rows 1 & 2 until you have 12 sts.

Work garter stitch until your piece measures 3".

Front Flap:
Cast on 21 sts
Work garter stitch for 2 1/4".

Repeat Steps for 2nd earflap as you did the 1st.

Now cast on 23 sts, I used the invisible cast on but you can use whatever knit on cast on method you like.

Knit across your 12 earflap stitches. Cast on 2 sts. Knit across your 21 front flap stitches. Cast on 2 sts. Knit across your 12 earflap stitches. Cast on 23 sts. - 95 sts

Work stockinette stitch (knit 1 row, purl 1 row) for 6.25" from newly cast on edge.

Decrease: (10sts every other row)
Row 1: *SSK, K15, K2tog; rep from * around - 85 sts
Row 2 and every other row: Purl
Row 3: *SSK, K13, K2tog; rep from * around - 75 sts
Row 5: *SSK, K11, K2tog; rep from * around - 65 sts
Row 7: *SSK, K9, K2tog; rep from * around - 55 sts
Row 9: *SSK, K7, K2tog; rep from * around - 45 sts
Row 11: *SSK, K5, K2tog; rep from * around - 35 sts

Hey everyone! Day 9 of our Knit-A-Thon we have the Chinese Waitress Cast on. This unique cast on is reversible, which most cast ons are not, so this will work perfectly with reversible patterns. Another good thing about this cast on it that it doesn't require a tail to cast on. This is in the knit on category so no measuring a length for your tail. Hope you guys like this one.

Instructions:
Make a slip knot and place it on your needle.
Hold you needles like you would be working a row, so slip knot in your left hand.
Place your right needle next to the slip knot, under your left needle but over your working yarn.
Bring yarn up over your left needle and around your right, as to knit, pull loop through, between the stitches on your left needle.
Pull out your right needle and re-position it in your stitch.
Place your right needle, still holding on to this stitch, under your left needle and repeat.
*Bring yarn over left needle, around right needle as to knit a stitch.
Pull loop through your stitches. Now you have two on your right needle. Bind off your first stitch. Pull out your right needle and re-position your stitch. - repeat from * until desired stitches are cast on.
When done, slip last stitch on right needle onto your left one.

TIP: When starting your project, coming up to that slip knot, just drop it off and don't work it into your pattern.

Hey everyone! Day 6 of the Knit-A-Thon I have a basic video for you guys, how to bind off. This is a refresher for those hard core knitters and an instructional video for first time knitters. Not matter where your level, we all need to know how to bind off otherwise we could never finish our projects. Let me know if there is another way that you like to bind off your work in the comments section.

Instructions:
When you've reached the end of your work you will need to bind off in order to finish.
With your "live" stitches on your needles, hold them as if to work another row. Stitches in the left hand and empty needle in your right.

Now work the first 2 sts on your left needle. Once you have 2 sts on your right, take your left needle and pick up that first stitch off your right needle and pull it over and off your right needle. Leaving 1 st on your right.
Now, work another stitch from your left needle. You now have 2 sts on your right needle again. Use your left needle to lift the first sts on your right needle over and off. Now we're back to 1 st on our right needle.
Repeat this process until no stitches are left on our left needle.

When only 1 sts remains, pull the last loop a little bigger, cut yarn free from the yarn ball and thread it threw this last loop. Pull to tighten and fasten off.

Now you know how to bind off.
You can work this in knit or purl or even k1 p1. Plain knit bind off is the easiest and works with most patterns.

NOTE: You can use whatever yarn you want to make your bunny and then just choose your needles according to the yarn.

Instructions:
Cast on 28 sts
Working in garter stitch (knit every row) make a square.

An easy way to determine a square is to continue knitting, when a fair length is done, fold your piece from corner to corner in a diagonal. If your cast on width is the same as your height, you're good to go.

I got a square with 55 rows.

Once you have a square bind off.

Thread a length of yarn onto your tapestry needle.
On the top half of your square, sew in a triangle. Across the top right and left corners, and a straight line threw the middle of your square. Pull on the ends of yarn and stuff the center of the triangle to form the bunny's head. Wrap yarn around head and fasten off.

Now sew the back seam of your bunny's body. Stuff bottom with fluff. Sew bottom end. Attach bunny's tail.

Hey everyone! Day 3 is how to make your own pom pom maker. I have used brand name pom pom makers and used my fingers or credit card to make a pom pom, in this video I show you how to make your own maker out of card board. Let me know in the comments what method you use to make your pom poms.

Instructions:
Trace your round object onto card board.
Cut out 2 circles.
Trace a smaller circle in the center, I would try using a dime as a guide. Then a wide triangle coming down from the smaller circle. Think keyhole shape.
Cut out that pattern on both circles.

Cut a 6" length of yarn and set aside.
Now hold your circles together and wrap with yarn until covered.
Slide your scissors between the cardboard pieces and cut yarn.
Holding the cardboard with your fingers so you don't loose your yarn that is wrapped around it.
Slip that 6" strand of yarn in between the card board pieces and tie a knot to secure your pom pom.
Remove the card board pieces and voila you have a pom pom.

Hey everyone! I figured I needed a video like this on my channel. I briefly mention how to in one of my really old videos. Hey everyone! This is a little tip that I hope will be helpful to you guys. You know when you're working in the round and it leaves that awful "long" stitch where your project meets? Well, in this video I show you how to fix that with one easy step. Hope this is helpful.

Items:
1 Set of Double Pointed (or circular) needles
Yarn for project

Instructions:
Cast on normally for your project and then add 1 st.
Make sure stitches are straight and hold work as if you were going to start your first row.
Slip the stitch from your right needle, (connected to the yarn ball), to the left needle. Now take the 2nd st from your left needle and pull it over and off the needle. Slip the first stitch on your left needle back to your right needle, pull on yarn to tighten stitch.
Continue working your project like normal.
You've easily connected your work in the round seamlessly.

Hey everyone! It's been a while since I've added a new hat. Inspired by a movie that I love, I've recreated my version of Mary Lennox hat from Secret Garden. Every time I watch this movie I'm in love with her nice slouchy hat. After many years of wanting it I've decided to make it. I hope you guys enjoy it

Items Used:
Clover Bamboo Interchangeable 16" circular needles size 9 (5.5mm)
I Love This Yarn in Terra Cotta (4 ply medium, 100% Acrylic, 7oz)

Gauge:
16 sts and 24 rows = 4" in 1x1 rib

Size:
20" to 22" adult

Instructions:
Cast on 80 sts
Work a 1x1 (k1, p1) rib for 7 rows. Approx. 1 1/2"

Increase: *K2, M1, K3, M1; rep from * around - 111 sts.

Body Pattern:
Row 1-4: Knit
Row 5: Purl
Repeat Rows 1 through 5 until hat measures 7 1/2" from cast on edge.

Decreases:
Place stitch markers every 28 st.
While working in our K 4 rows, P 1 Row pattern, work up to 2 sts before marker and k2tog (or p2tog on purl rows).

NOTE: I'm not real happy with this decrease, so feel free to change it up for your own hat. I think I would have done a repeat of SSK, K to 2 sts before marker, K2tog. It would have decreased a little quicker and more uniform. But I thought I would let you guys know if you wanted another option.

Row 4: Knit
Row 5: *P24, P2tog; rep
Row 6: Knit
Row 7: *K23, K2tog; rep
Row 8: Knit

Row 10: Purl
Row 11: *K21, K2tog; rep
Row 12: Knit
Row 13: *K20, K2tog; rep - 84 sts
Row 14: Knit
Row 15: Purl
Row 16: *K2tog; rep - 42 sts
Row 17: Knit
Row 18: *K2tog; rep - 21 sts
Row 19: Knit
Row 20: *K2tog, rep from * to last st, K1 - 11 sts

Cut yarn and finish hat.
