"The Wishing Well" is an experimental one-man production created by California based actor, director Rod Maxwell. There was no crew, no one else behind or in front of the camera. Maxwell transformed himself into all of the 26 men, women, and children that appear in this film. He created all the prosthetics and fat suits, applied them to himself, by himself, and then shot the entire film at home in front of a simple greenscreen backdrop using a DV camera. The Film was then reshot from within a virtual set Maxwell designed and built, all on an Apple computer. This production is a demonstration of what can be accomplished from within a home studio, by just one person.
The Wishing Well is set to original music by composer Roger Bellon whose magical score perfectly complements the warmth, heart, and humor that makes up this unique romantic comedy.
