In 2025, after several years of discussion and brainstorming, I traveled to Riyadh, Saudi Arabia to work with a collection of incredible musicians on the soundtrack to HOUSE OF HIKMAH. This game is a special, very personal project created by my lovely friend Faris Attieh in the aftermath of losing his father.
My goal was to explore the deep well of Arabic music traditions (Saudi-specific traditions and also more Pan-Arab) and merge them with my core sensibilities to create a kind of "Arabic Fantasy" sound. As with every other time I've gone deeply down the well of another culture's music, the result was deeply moving and life-affirming.
