Hey guys, welcome back to the THIRD time I ended up having 7 months between episodes. Classic pattern of mine am I right? School just kinda ate my ass and so did burnout from working on episode 10. Back at it again with another banger though, this time y’all eating hella good. Didn’t mean for this one to end up 21 minutes long but it’s a happy little accident.
Every time I make a new episode it always ends up being my new favorite one, and this is definitely one of those times. Turned out absolutely stunning. I’m very proud of all the work I sunk into this, over 200 hours according to IbisPaint which is insane by the way. In a way I’m kinda glad I had that 7 month gap, you can totally see the improvement from the start of the animation to the end of it.
Once again, thank you all so much for being patient with me and supporting me, despite my random decision to start up a second series while producing this episode. From the bottom of my heart, I absolutely love you guys, I couldn’t ask for a better community. And I love making things for you guys, it makes me happy knowing I’ve made something that has legitimately changed some of your lives. It’s all very overwhelming and I honestly dunno if I deserve it but I love y’all anyway. Can’t wait to laugh at your suffering in an affectionate way heart emoji

Anyways I think Oleander was a really good song choice for this episode, it really shows Sobuki’s childish immature headass and his desperation for Maki’s love, plus Maki’s own suffering feeling trapped by him y’know. I originally heard this song and was like “kinda Buki an Haru” but then I listened to it more and I was like “WAIT MAKI EXISTS.”
I feel like I just need to specify the point of explaining Sobuki’s backstory because I really need y'all to understand that it ain't a pity party for him. Its to show even further that Sobuki is pathetic man. He's a man that hurt other because he himself is a hurt man. And though it may be a tagic tale, it is sill one that ends with him being the bad guy.
