Generating a buffy coat from whole blood samples has several benefits, including concentrating large sample volumes and reducing downstream cell separation handling. This video demonstrates the washed-buffy coat procedure for generating a buffy coat from a whole blood sample while minimizing donor variability. The buffy coat can be used for downstream analyses or isolation of specific cell populations using immunomagnetic cell isolation technologies such as EasySep™.
