Watch as health-care leaders in B.C. celebrate the launch of a practice guide that helps care providers ensure clinical perinatal care is respectful and safe for Indigenous Peoples.

Honouring Indigenous Women’s and Families’ Pregnancy Journeys was developed by Perinatal Services BC, in consultation with BC Women’s Hospital + Health Centre, the Midwives Association of BC, the First Nations Health Authority, B.C.’s regional health authorities, and alongside women who gave birth, women who experienced racism, and grandmothers and aunties.

Honouring Indigenous Women’s and Families’ Pregnancy Journeys is a springboard for further action to shift practices at both individual and organizational levels.
