On retourne en Suède avec une polska traditionnelle que j'ai appris du disque First Snow du duo Kehler/Williams, qui explore beaucoup de traditions différentes, mais en s'attardant particulièrement au répertoire scandinave. Je trouve que ce genre de polska s'adapte très bien au banjo ténor, même si celle-là était jouée à la flute et la nyckelharpa. Je dois dire cependant ne pas être très versé dans les styles scandinaves, j'y vais donc plutôt à l'instinct et sans grandes prétentions.
We go back to Sweden with a traditional polska I learned from the cd First Snow by the Kehler/Williams duo, that explores a lot of different traditions, but with an accent on scandinavian tunes. I think that this kind of polska sounds well on the tenor banjo, even if this one was played on the flute and the nyckelharpa. I have to say, however, I'm not that familiar either with scandinavian styles, so I play those tunes based on my instinct and unpretentiously.
