Nah but for real yes this is technically my 5th remix of this theme lmao. So let's take a trip down memory lane. First it was 2012 when I wanted to experiment with new sounds, then in 2014 I did it again for the same reason, 2015 I wanted to remix it again to test out my new dnb skills, in 2017 I did it because idk I wanted to. and now in 2020 I'm doing it for the same reason. I just wanted to lol
Anyway this time I went with pure drum and bass here. Main reason was because the 2015 remix was a hybrid of hardcore and dnb. The 2017 remix was just Hardcore, so to complete the trinity I decided to make this one dnb. The first two don't matter though they're gross.
By the way, I have my own discord server again! Me and Retro decided to split our communities up because they just didn't really fit together like they used to. Nothing bad happened between him and I if you were wondering. We're still extremely close. Just thought we would be better off with our own communities. anyway here's a link:
Funny story, my 10th anniversary on youtube was about a week ago and in about a week from now my 2015 primal dialga remix turns 5 years old. that's pretty crazy to think it has been that long. Though to be fair I think my YouTube journey really started in late 2014 when I was making all the grunt remixes and zinnia and all of that. That was when I really started to get noticed and took YouTube a bit more seriously. So technically I've been in the game for only about 5 years or 6. Ah I rambled, enjoy the primal dialga for the 5th time.

So for this remix I went for a future bass vibe. It was something I havent done since 2017 so Im still new to this. Though I gotta say Im happy with how this one turned out. Let me tell you, singing this was not an easy task. When I first heard it I was like yooo a song thats in my vocal range so I sang the first verse and and made it half through the remix...
Then it was time to sing the high notes. YEAH OOF. That was so hard it took me a few days to really get it down until I was satisfied with how it sounded. along with my family being so loud all the time it was hard to find time to record my vocals lol
Oh and a quick thanks to Sharax for helping me with mixing in the vocals. She gave me tips on how to make it sound clear (I had tons of reverb on it before and it didnt sound very clean) and she really helped. Idk if youre reading this hun but thank you for the billionth time 💙
So yeah, with all of that hardship and 19.5 hours of work, here we are. I hope you guys enjoy!

Whether you call it Dont ever Forget or I dont want to say goodbye, here is the remix of that song! It has been a while since I did a PMD2 remix so its nice to come back to it. (also I cant fit the other title in the thumbnail lol)
So for this one I went for a more acoustic feel to really add to the sad feeling. On my last one I had some complaints that it wasnt sad enough because it was Drum and Bass. While DnB is very energetic and happy a lot of the time, it can also be sad. I just didnt know how to produce dnb very well back then lol
Anyway this wasnt too complicated, acoustic music is really relaxing to make, since there isnt too much of a focus on sound design. Its all really there in front of you so all you really have to focus on is the composition and arrangement aspect of the song. Though that doesnt make mixing them any easier! Drum kits especially are hard for me to mix but Ive ranted about that too many times in the past lol
I hope you guys enjoy it because it has been almost 5 YEARS since my last remix of this song in particular. Time flies. At the time I was some edgy 17 year old trying to make drum and bass music by using PMD soundtracks as practice. Now Im an edgy 22 year old so not much has changed :P jkjk

Sans is in Smash ultimate... kinda lol. So for that and the 4 year anniversary (which is on the 15th), I wanted to make a mashup of Lifelight with, you guessed it MEGALOVANIA. Except this time its the smash version and also trying to mimic smashs style. So commencing guitar and violin spam! (I still wish I had a good solo violin library wehhh)
Mixing guitars just doesnt get easier does it? Jesus christ I cant tell you how many frustrating moments Ive had trying to get them to work with everything else, also trying to make the drumkit sound beefy enough to go well with the feel of the song. Since it seems a lot of people have trouble making drum kits loud and impacting (myself included) because of how insane the transients are with the kick and snare specifically. So compressing them is almost required if you want a loud mix. Only issue is you end up amplifying the sound of the room with the snare recording which makes it sound gross. So now you have to gate it and... yeah let me stop before I get into a rant about mixing acoustic stuff lol
Despite still being a novice with this kind of music, Im pretty happy with how this turned out. Felt excited to input new ideas, hear them work well and Im typing this a few days before uploading so Im excited for you to hear it! Youre probably listening to it right now as youre reading this huh? Or maybe youre the kind that waits until the end of the video to read descriptions and comments? I do that sometimes.
As for things in life, Im really sorry about no upload last Friday.
(personal stuff incoming. Just an explanation for those who are curious)
I had a pretty bad anxiety episode last weekend. I couldnt eat or sleep properly for 3 days, trembled a lot, I was in pretty bad shape. Ive always had panic attacks but this one was a whole different animal. Not entirely sure where it came from or why it got that bad, but Im looking into counceling to hopefully learn a thing or to on how to deal with this in case it happens again. and then after getting better, I just came out of the gate working on this remix lol. It was a nice way to get my mind off things.
