As a heads up: while the new M-B season begins very shortly, I still have a bunch of matches to put up, so M-B matches are not going to begin until towards the end of this week, I’d estimate. Depending on what new Pokémon become available, I may or may not have a new team to use, though like in previous Pokémon games, if I do, I’ll rotate back and forth between the teams I would have.
So please be patient.
I estimate I should still have another three videos after this one, scattered between videos of matches from the Aurorus Team (like this one) and the Forretress Team (like the following one).

Opponent’s Pokémon: Sneasler, Mello (Charizard), Garchomp, Venusaur
I didn’t have a lot of matches with the Sword & Shield music, but now they’re turning up a lot. The music has nothing to do with why I chose these matches though. For this one, it’s because I’ve grown pretty used to fighting teams like these, though the Charizard and Venusaur turning up at separate times during battle is new to me.
I also want to bring to attention the trend of Venusaur surviving at 1% HP. I don’t know how intentional it is here, but Venusaur has become more likely to hold a Focus Sash as of late, I’m guessing in response to people responding with Fire attacks on Venusaur when harsh sunlight is out. This is why Rock Slide is an essential move on Mac (Mudsdale).
I’m not sure on the reasoning behind Charizard’s nickname of Mello. The one thing coming to mind is the chocolate-loving young detective in Death Note, but I don’t know what he and Charizard have to do with each other.

My Pokémon: Mac (Mudsdale), Rigel (Manectric), Lamar (Aurorus), Paolo (Quaquaval)
Opponent’s Pokémon: Glimmora, Whimsicott, Charizard, Garchomp
This Whimsicott lasted for FAR longer than I would normally see Whimsicott, and far too long for comfort. Whimsicott is one of th most disruptive Pokémon in the whole series in PvP for support (there’s a good reason it turns up so much in major VGC events), and the longer it stays on the field, the stronger its effects in battle will be.
Of course, this is due in part to my failure to stop Glimmora when I wanted to…and, for the first time, a Charizard able to withstand that Rock Slide attack. As the season had gone on, Mega Charizard Y’s defenses have risen, undoubtedly recalibrated to not faint after certain attacks (though Mudsdale’s Rock Slides were not likely part of the plan).

Opponent’s Pokémon: Delphox, Sableye, Kingambit, Incineroar
My opponent here had a 6-game streak going on here. My 2-win streak, by comparison, was not quite as impressive. But it doesn’t mean the outcome is certain; I think my opponent was attempting to get a perfect clear on me (that is, a win without letting any of their Pokémon get knocked out), which only resulted in them collapsing one by one once the first one went down.
Mega Delphox has the very straightforward Ability of Levitate, but that alone makes it a really tough Mega Evolution due to gaining very high Sp. Attack and Speed and Levitate nullifying one of its most common type weaknesses. I’ve also liked Mega Delphox’s broom-surfing since I first saw it.
Displaying a win streak does show that the opponent knows what they’re doing and to be careful around them though, to expect them to be savvy and never be surprised. Probably more alarming to other people if they notice an odd team like mine but see I’ve been on a win streak though, as it proves that said odd team has been consistently defeating people.
Doesn’t stop someone on a 6-game streak from using Fake Out on Mac (Mudsdale) though.

My opponent’s name suggests they’re recording and/or streaming onto somewhere. Well, wherever it was made available, here is that match from the other side, and I hope it’s an interesting one. They probably didn’t expect Overheat coming from Rigel (Manectric), and this is a match where control went back and forth with their Garchomp taking out two of my Pokémon and almost a third.
