7.17.2026 - U.S. Poet Laureate Arthur Sze reads one of his original poems entitled "Anvil," and a translated work, "Drinking Wine," by Tao Qian.

"Anvil" appears as the opening poem of Sze's book, Into the Hush. Sze's translation of Tao Qian's poem opens his most recent published work, Transient Worlds.

Sze then explains the significance of each poem, and the influence of Tao Qian on his work and poetry at large.
