Quinton “Rampage” Jackson was pushed into fighting at an early age growing up in Memphis. He found an escape by honing his skills as a classically trained wrestler, until he discovered a new concept– “mixed” martial arts fighting, a fierce blend of combat sports still in its infancy at the time. The rest is history: Jackson built a career in the early days of “cage fighting” and found success on Japan’s Pride FC circuit, ultimately claiming the Middleweight Championship built. Back in the U.S. he joined the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in 2007 and reigned as the UFC Light Heavyweight champ after a legendary knockout against MMA icon Chuck Lidell. Outside the Octagon, Rampage continues to shine as a Hollywood actor and ambassador for the sport he pioneered.

The event attracted 98 ski and snowboard athletes from 18 countries to the grassroots competitions. Some traveled over 70 hours to get to New Zealand.
The event started in 2016 in honor of iconic New Zealand freeskier and X Games gold medalist Jossi Wells. This year, the JWI featured three competition disciplines across two mountains: Starting with a rail jam at Cardrona, followed by the TC Shoot-Out at Treble Cone on natural halfpipes and terrain, plus a mini pipe and the final Big Air throwdown at Cardrona. All contests aired on live stream in front of global audiences – and the level of riding was once again off the charts.
Filmed & Edited by Hotlaps aka Andrew Gayda
Featuring the skiing of: Beau-James Wells, Jackson Wells, Alex Hall, Colby Stevenson, Ferdinand Dahl, and Edouard Therriault.

Raised in a small town in British Columbia, Matt Berger asked for his first skateboard at age 5. Supported by his father, who also captured his son’s ahead-of-his-age tricks on camera, the prodigy earned his first flow sponsorship at age 10. Endorsed by skateboard icon Rodney Mullen, he moved on to full-blown sponsored status at eleven – and proceeded to make his mark as one of the most technical (and consistent) riders on the circuit. Berger won Damn Am Canada in 2009 and made history in 2014 as the first amateur to compete with big-ticket pros on the Street League Skateboarding (SLS) series. Pro since 2015, he’s earned two X Games medals, dropped legendary video parts, and represented Canada in the Tokyo Olympics. And no, his last name is not pronounced ‘burger’!

Some are there to win.
Some are there to find out who’s going to win.
Some are there to help others win…
and some are just there.
But regardless of the reason for being, all of these individuals share one thing in common — a true love for the sport of motocross. The kind of love for sport that so often lacks in the 21st century.
Washington Post even made a statement that Gen-Z could potentially be a generational gap in the love for sports and the outdoors.
However Gavin Towers, Jeremy Fappani, and Vincent Wey hope to change that as they leverage their passion for sport to reach every goal in their paths. Kick back and relax as these three young motocross phenoms tell us (and then show us) what Loretta Lynn’s Ranch means to them. Enjoy.
